2024 Acura MDX vs 2024 Infiniti QX60: Which Luxury SUV Is Best? 

It’s interesting. The MDX is one of the best Honda products and definitely Acura products available. But I actually kind of like the Infiniti. It just seems more premium. That said we all know the MDX has astounding quality.

I have a QX60 and I love it! Wouldn’t trade it for anything!

I have been an Infiniti customer since 2005, starting with my first G35 coupe. Since then, I've owned a 2011 G37, a 2014 Q50 Red Sport, a 2017 Q60 Red Sport, a 2019 QX50 Sensory, and currently, a 2021 QX50 Luxe with the Appearance package. My wife recently purchased a 2024 Acura MDX A Spec, which drives similarly to the G37 sport sedan. Its impressive handling, especially on twisty mountain roads, stands out, it's a drivers car I hope Infiniti returns to its roots and focuses on making fun to drive cars, rather than producing vehicles with CVT and variable compression turbos that sound like a vacuum. When I test drove the QX60 a month ago, it felt like driving a boat. I give credit to Infiniti for their superb materials and excellent paint quality, which I noticed in my previous Infiniti vehicles compared to my wife's MDX. Infiniti's build quality is superior to my wife's 2024 MDX. The paint job on the MDX isn't as good, and the panel gaps are not consistent.

Nice that the Acura has solid buttons instead of touch buttons

Infinity wins on interior for me. However, the type S MDX is just so cool to me. With the 25 model year MDX getting a touch screen, it’s a toss up for me. However there is no competition between the type S MDX and the Infiniti, it’s just in a different class.

Wife n I drove both. Decided on MDX. QX60 felt cheap with a hefty sticker price. MDX felt like a true luxury car. Also...with rebates. The MDX 7k cheaper.

From older models I liked the Acura's transmission and the steering of the Infinity. I had the 3.5 in the Infinite I had. I didn't have the 3.5 in the Acura I had at one time. Would have bought a Honda at one time but never liked the sitting position. Toyota's position sucks too unless you have at least an SV from 2020 or later.

Long tern reliability is a factor. Which will last longer with less repair bills?

Wouldn’t buy the 24 MDX because the 25 has touchscreen (no silly track pad). I’d go Pathfinder platinum over Qx60, can’t justify the extra expense. You’d save thousands. But I love the Qx60’s looks. The MDX is a bit plain to me.

You can't go wrong with both tho.

I would buy a MDX and have it customized

Obviously the MDX by a long shot! However, I'd personally skip both of these and opt for the CX90 or GV80 instead.

having owned hondas and nissans...id choose nissans over hondas anyday. just not cvt bs trannys
