The 2.7 Chevy is slower and gets worse fuel economy. 2.7 Ecoboost is a better engine.

Would you buy one of the Chevyś with a 4cyl? I have the F150 and Iḿ happy with the power plant. Just for reference the F150 is actually an XL with a package on it so you don´t get a lot of extras compared to the Chevy that is at least an LT to get heated seats and steering wheel.

Funny because I’ve had my 2.7 Silverado for over 2 years 4x4 crew cab and never got below 18 and as high as 24.5 hwy. I don’t get the fact why the EPA rates them so low.

Ford all day…I buy trucks to feel, drive, and work as a truck is expected…at least for me. Having had both I’ve had better luck with the Ford’s. Plus as others have mentioned Ford didn’t take the bail out…enough said

I own a 2024 F-150, STX 4X4 with a 5.0 V8 It is the best truck I’ve ever owned. It accelerates like all hell! Drives smooth as butter. Engine Sounds amazing but quiet enough for a relaxing ride. Has great towing capabilities. Payload is nice too! Packed with all the bells and whistles (even being a base model) has a bunch of driving modes and is very comfortable. I got mine for $48k before taxes. I love it so far! Great truck! Highly recommended to anybody in need of something new and capable.

The STX and an RST is not an apples to apples comparison though.

Chevy looks better on the outside, but the ford interior is so much better. Better infotainment, more comfortable seats and most importantly no gloss black

The updated front on the Ford looks decent, it's the rest of the truck that looks really old to me. The front has been updated like what 5 times now but the rest of the truck has looked the same for what 20 years now.

Currently driving a 2017 Silverado 4x4 with 210k miles and it’s time to upgrade. Next truck will either be GMC Sierra Elevation or Ford F150 STX. V8 and 4x4 are mandatory. Both have their pros and cons and the decision is kicking my butt.

At least all the Fords get 10 speeds. Chevy you have spend like 80k to get the same transmission the Ranger has had for years. It’s a shame because I love the Trail Boss. The Fords just drive better.

GM needs to increase their fuel tank capacity. I drive 3-5 hours a day. I keep buying F150's for seat comfort and the 36 gallon tank. 600 plus miles range is a must for my needs. Our fleet guys with the GM trucks fill up every day or every other day. I only fill up twice a week.

I had a Silverado once and never again. I traded it in before the warranty expired because I didn't trust it anymore, just too many problems.

I like the better 4x4 set up in the Ford. GM seems to be proud of their 2.7 turbo 4 the way they're putting it in everything. It doesn't get very good gas mileage, though it seems.

The Silverado looks better from the front. The F-150 looks better from the back. I think the side profile of both trucks look awkward.

I've owned them all, the thing with Fords is they advertise this amazing fuel economy...but once you start towing and hauling with it...that turbo V6 economy goes right down the drain. If you are towing hauling, you go V8 or Diesel.

Being a mechanic I've always been a chevy guy. Recently im leaning more towards ford. Chevy is really putting out some cheaply built trucks.

The Chevy feels more solid when you close the hood?!?! Which is done once every 5k miles, who cares. MPG is the difference and 8speed vs 10 speed transmission.

I don’t know if it’s just me but the Ford is just looking cheaper every year and less aggressive. I’d probably go with a gmc at4 before the Chevy but the latest lineup Ford looks horrible, Chevy looks like a 2 year old put it together the GMC looks great with the Denali and at4. Toyota Tundra looks like a Tacoma also cheap plastic. The prior gen tundra was by far more beefy and a lot nicer. The Ram gives you a lot of options for different trim levels but seems to cheap out on basic things for the price you pay like LED headlights/tail lights. But the interior of the Ram beats everything hands down. And the trucks are just getting insanely expensive.
