@@xxC-R9 I literally just got back from a ride on the bike. Is it good? Its fantastic! When you throw a leg over the bike , roll back on the throtltle and head out, it's like s*x on 2 wheels. The bike is simply amazing. As for the stock sound, too quiet. I've already ordered the Graves slip-on exhaust in Elektrik blue, which on this Anniversary Edition will look amazing. It's deeper and louder, but not crazy loud...which I am not into. When I'm on long rides, I want to hear my music, not the drone of the engine for hours. It arrives in just a few days and I can't wait to put it on the bike. Already installed a TST integrated fender eliminator. Absolutely no regrets about this bike.
@@TylerG7777 I just picked up an anniversary edition too. Trying to decide my accent colors for my accessories. I had been thinking red (on point crash cage and impaktech subcage) but if that slip on is as cool as I think it is I might have to change my mind. Are you able to post a pic/short video of your bike with the integrated tail light and the slip on?
@@RH94 The Graves Slip-on exhaust in Elektrik Blue looks amazing on the bike. Really, it looks like it was made for the 40th anniversary color scheme. The navy blue on the lower cowling just flows right into the Graves blue slip-on. Plus, the color looks great overlying the aluminum colored swing arm. The swing arm is not black like on other bikes. Unfortunately, I don’t have any pics to show you. As I noted up above, it was just too loud for me. I don’t like really loud bikes and I’m more interested in hearing my music. I don’t like rolling through town with people eating outside, and knowing that I’m making a big racket. It killed me, but I returned it and instead bought the Akropovic slipon. The black carbon fiber looks nice, way better than that ugly stock muffler from Kawasaki, but it can’t compare to how awesome the Graves muffler looked on the bike. For knee grips, I got 2 slender, clear, grips from Stomp Grips. They work great and are as low profile as you can get. They run along the green section of the cowling, just below the tank. But I’m still at a loss for the upper tank protector. Definitely need one so I don’t scratch the top of the tank, but I don’t know what will not take away from the great color scheme. That great navy blue that tapers down towards the rider’s seat. Let me know what you picked. It’s an awesome bike! Head turner for sure. Good luck!
Personally, i think the new zx6r design is awesome. At first I was like "eh?" because I saw it in a picture from a not so nice angle. But after I watched a videos and all that, i like it.
I hate the 2023 and older models front end. Especially the huge headlights. The 2024 front end is amazing and looks better than the previous model zx6rs. Congratulations bro, ride safe 🫡🔥
@@MaxSteelfireblade if you want to go race liter bikes more often than not go with the zx10. But if you dont really go out to race and go full throttle and hit around 180+ then the zx6r is more than plenty enough of a bike to rip it and enjoy every second of it. A fully tuned zx6r is way more fun actually to cut up on the highway with friends, you will never get bored of it. Even stock is so much fun and adrenaline packed.
Traded in my 2022 ZX10R for one of these, the ZX6 haven't been available here for a few years but is back on sale for 2024. The 10 is just way more than i need, great bike but with 80+ hp more than the ZX6 it's borderline insane. The 2024 ZX6 looks great, new front end with led headlights and the TFT closed it for me. Dealership will deliver it after new years since it currently 14 F and snowy here, season starts early to mid april.
day one of riding the bike I put about 50 miles on it. It's my first sport bike and man i love the thing my body however is still getting used to it mainly my wrists and partially my hips. 10/10
Hey man, you are from my same area and I’m about to buy the exact same bike. I’ve had my ninja 650 since 2020 and I’ve got bored of it so as soon as I can save enough money to buy that 2024 Zx-6r it will be mine. Love the channel man keep it up. And keep representing 812 ❤
Subbed! And the 2024 model is way better , i hate those giant headlights on the past models. Yeah i put quick shifter on my mt07 and it feels so good! Keep it up, safe ridings!
Got mine ordered here in Australia. I’m coming from a 400 and never rode a 600 before. If it’s really necessary for me I’ll ecu flash it. I got a full exhaust and power commander coming with the bike.
Hey pal, awesome video and I'm a new subscriber to your channel. Am planning to buy this beautiful machine next year when it hits the market in India, but heard from a couple of folks that the suspension is a bit stiff. Your thoughts?
@@lancerussell755 I was going to get a mustang before this car but everyone and their mother has a mustang where I’m from and I wanted to stand out. I only see maybe 3 more that are actually local to here
@@lancerussell755 I would love to but it’s just not financially possible for me right now. I got a super good deal on my fk8 payed about 1/3 of what you would normally pay for one but it’s a rebuilt title. Doesn’t really bother me lol
I’ve only ridden this bike and an older gsxr 600. The kawi has more relaxed ergos for sure. But this is a 2001 vs a 2024 so I can’t really compare that much
Dude, we bought the same bike the same time. Even our gloves are the same, same color. Hahaha I'm gonna start my vlog next week. Love the bike but I found a serious flaw that I'll make a video about. It's a safety issue. Do not drop the bike! That's all I say for now!
So I've been riding the 2023 ninja 400 se for about 4k miles. It's my first bike. Ive gotten very comfortable on it but im Still learning how to clutch wheelie and stuff in first gear but I am thinking about getting the zx6r was wondering how it handles co pared to the 400. The 400 is so nimble and agile I love it and don't want to upgrade if it's way different on the zx6r. I've ridden a few other bikes like an r 1 and z900 and didn't like the handling. The power doesn't bother me it's the feel of the front end that trips me out.
Zx6r is much different riding experience. Much more aggressive seating, heavier handling, much more power. Master your 400 before moving up. It’s a totally different world for me on this bike
I think it looks epic. You should get a nice slip on for it. Do you plan to track it? It will come alive on a race track trust me. I have 2012 ZX6R and it is an amazing bike. Go to work do track days good for everything.
Never ridden b4 so this a just a genuine question. I saw several times where you were only going like 45-55 and were at like 4k rpm in 6th. is that normal? I figure you'd wanna be in like 4th maybe even 3rd since peak power is prolly around the 10k-11k range. (getting my 1st bike sometime early 2024 so tryna learn all I can)
@@lemon15960 typically yes but the bike was still in break in at the time. They tell you to keep it under 4k for the first few hundred miles. I didn’t really keep to that often but I did sometimes
I pay $1005 per year on this one. I have 2 other bikes bundled with it though. I already have the tail tidy and slip on installed video will be coming soon
If you compared the downlow off the line getgo performance, how doe the zx6r compare to the z650. From how I understand it the zx6 doesn't have that much punch down low. Is this true?
@@812moto For context, I prior to this have never ridden a 4pot before. And was wondering if a 4pot really is dead down low. I'm really not interested in going fast, and honestly also mainly ride in the cities and backroads. Was abit unsure if 4pots really had no go down low, which as we all know is not what you want for my kind of riding. But I tested the cb650r yesterday which makes 95hp ish. Compared to my cb500f, the 650 was abit juicier but was about the same as my cb500f down low. And logically pulled alot harder once the revs were there. I think I've got my next bike, just need to save up some cash :-)))) Also gonna assume that a 600 pulls abit more than the 650 (down low, because that's really only what I care about)
@@Daniel-dj7fh to be honest I feel like it has pretty good mid range power. If you’re riding back roads you’ll be hunting gears and trying to keep it in the power. I would recommend maybe looking into a Yamaha r7 or aprilia rs660 or something of that nature if you are not looking to open up this zx6
@@812moto I rode the new hornet as well, I don't like the low down torque it makes. I just didn't want a 4pot which tuned out to accelerate like a 50cc scooter down low
bro i am planning to purchase a zx6r 2024 variant new one i currently own a rc390 i am really confused that 1. will a zx6r a worthy upgrade after rr310 2. is zx6r fast enough 3. can zx6r keep up with litre class bikes like zx10r, s1krr on weekend rides
I went from a z650 to this it’s plenty fast enough. Would not recommend going much higher if you don’t have a ton of experience and haven’t mastered your first bike
ZX6R is absolutely a massive upgrade. Not only are you gaining 246 CC's but also 2 cylinders, and nicer hardware like bremo brakes. It can hang with liter bikes for sure.
bro the scorpion slip on exhaust, man its so much more nasty than the M4 slip on. Trust me ill send you a clip. I got the white one. Watch your oil level mine was super low, chain was super loose, coolant was lower than good. The 23 model has that ug bug pointy nose, glad they look like the zx10 now. sadly app is basically useless, screen can lag, hope they have an update
812? southern indiana? i live in the area and saving to get my first bike next spring, just not sure what dealer to go through, dont wanna ride back from louisville
@@812moto I’m in my mid 30’s and drive a semi for a living so I’m an extremely attentive driver In a truck or car so I’ve decided to get a 636. Do the basic rider course and some additional courses as well. See everyone online saying start on a 400 but then contradict that by saying a more mature person who respects the throttle can start higher. I frankly don’t want to get a bike to sell it a season or two later just to upgrade
Oh yeah the roads around here make me nervous since you cant see around most of the corners because of the trees. Thats why you dont see me flying on most of the back roads
Does your z650 have clip ons or is it mostly stock? I’ve never rode b4 but I’m going to soon and I’m looking at a z650 for my first bike. Learn on it and ride it for a few months. Then add some clip ons and maybe adjustable rear sets to get me a more aggressive/committed riding position. Then I want to eventually get a zx6r too.
Looking at it,,,,,it looks good,, ,, but then I found out the top speed and it looks like too much bike for such a slow top speed,,,,, I wouldn't want to buy one and have a gixxer blow by gapping me,,,,, its not a cheap bike. Or an R6.......😮
I don't want to be that negative guy, but I have no respect for anyone who gets on a 600cc in a t-shirt. If you wore protective gear, I'd probably have subscribed. Personal opinion, sorry!
You are obviously an inexperienced rider because riding in the grease trail of a lane is going to get you hurt. Also, tank grips are worthless. I have been riding for 25 plus years on sport bikes and never once had those on any of my bikes
