I put your videos in the background when I am studying. The sound of your voice with the noises the car makes, relax me and makes me enjoy studying. Keep up the good work. Btw I also watch your videos during my free time so don't think that your videos are only enjoyable as background noise. They are very interesting and fun!!
Love the videos Topher! They’re all very relaxing as opposed to some videos out there who are ‘fake’ excited or simply just doing too much lol. The explorer reminds me of the Pilot from the exterior a little. Also! I totally got myself a Ranger Raptor, that thing checks all the boxes and more, better value than the Tacoma I was considering. Keep doing your thing!
It's interesting to see a mishmash of old and new tech in this car. It's got a thoroughly modern gauge cluster and infotainment which seem easy to use (although I have beef with touchscreen-only climate and the giant RPM number). Some parts of the interior are starting to look old, especially the steering wheel. I think other brands have done a good job of simplifying the controls without removing many buttons. And I question the usefulness of the power rear seats, which seem pretty slow in comparison to yanking a strap. Maybe it suits a Lincoln, but for a daily driver family SUV, I'd rather the seats fold quickly and have one less part to break.
Finally the moment we’ve been waiting for! Awesome video Topher! I think I might be planning on getting it cause my mom had one years ago, and new Ford chime? Huh, never heard that for the first time at all, especially in this vehicle, and the turn signals/hazard lights, man those clicks sound freshly cool!
The platinum one is a bit confusing why they used the same tire size as this one. You have to get the smaller engine if you want the 20’s without the nicer leather as well. Awesome review, wish they put a nicer exhaust looks wise on these.
TOOOOOOOOO much money for a Ford Explorer of any model... I've been driving them at work for years and they're NOT a quality vehicle, beyond about 10k miles.
Topher, was looking at these used as they seem to be a decent value after 2-3 years with 30-50k. Would you say it’s worth waiting to pick up a 25’ used?
Ford needs to put the Coyote 5.0 in the Explorer at that price point. I've owned a Fusion Sport and an F150 which both had the 2.7l ecoboost. They were fun, but just not as satisfying, especially with the sound coming from them.
This looks pretty nice honestly and the interior kinda feels better than I'm used to from a Ford. One thing I am not sure of though is that trim piece that goes from the right to the instrument cluster from behind the infotainment. It almost looks unfinished and doesn't merge well with the cluster or the binnicle. Really weird design and sticks out to me for some reason. Maybe I'd get used to it but in this video its triggering my OCD a little.
0:48 love that chime, ford really made it better i really like it a lot but ford made the Explorer look better than the 2020-24 but I still like the 2020-24 model 3:21 that chime again!!
Infrared cameras to monitor driver awareness. You can only see the infrared flashing with a camera. When using BlueCruise it actively watches your eyes and warns you if you take them away from the road ahead for too long. Too too long and it will disable the system.
Love the last gen explorer especially the ST. But this new gen’s grille is so fugly, I would never buy this. Even in all black exterior it still looks like a gaping catfish mouth.
Ford interiors keep getting worse imo. It’s a 2025 and Ford is still sticking an iPad out of the dash. The lack of physical controls is a fail and it just looks cheap overall.
that rpm gauge and the way it's displayed as a number like that is beyond stupid and un-intuitive. hate it. that's enough for me not to buy a ford with that gauge cluster. call me petty, i don't care.
I agree. That is why I have always been a proponent of analog gauges. There are still some manufacturers that make clusters that have a combination of analog needles with an integrated digital screen (usually between the tach and speedo).
