bobhope4732 Man if I had all of the gas that my friends and I "wasted" cruising Van Nuys Blvd , Whittier Blvd and PCH back in the 70's. I would be set with gas for a long time. We had it made and didn't realize it
I watched this movie on HBO. Waited for it to come on again so I could tape it on VHS. What the hell is that now a days. My wife found it on CD about 25 years ago and it was my Xmas present. That was the best present cause it’s still one of the best movies ever. I loved the el Camino. Kids now a days don’t know what they missed out on for hot rods. Michelle Pfieffer was hot as ever in this and grease 2
Yes it is! Also they blew the motor on it during the drag race with the Cobra, you can see the smoke in the video. Project X has been a major influence on me and my 57's also.
Hey Newbomb, De Niro wouldn't have said that "looking for me" line for nearly two more decades 😜 But damn what a great movie!! Edit: It's a shame that so many other teen comedies that were not even close to being as good as this movie were so much more popular
Hell yeah! I totally agree. This movie is basically Porky's, meets american graffiti, and that's not an insult both those movies were great, and this one is right up there with both of them. American graffiti, didn't cross that line with nudity and stuff, and Porky's was pretty much about getting laid, and this one had a little of both, but had lots of cars. I was born in 78' I saw this in 84' with my parents, my mom and dad just made me turn around whenever tits came in the screen. I love this movie. One my all-time favorites. Newbomb's pie wagon is awesome. I'd be happy with that car, but that 57', and that rail job are awesome as hell.
Just in case you did not know this car is the Famous Project X car, it has been in the spot light for years. It is the reason I painted my 57 210 sedan yellow!
