you guys either didn’t watch the full videos or just intended to leave out context but Stephen A was only saying that after the interview that the boston front office had was that the woman gets no consequence while ime gets a full season suspension, while at the time it wasn’t known that it was an UNWANTED gesture to the woman. he was of the knowledge that it was consensual from both parties.

On the Ime Udoka thing, we all agree that speculation was in the air due to half-assed information. Stephen A did say the race bait the first day it broke. Facts. That was wild. After the presser in the Malika segment, though… she took it somewhere he did not because she was selectively listening as this is a heavy topic and she seemed emotionally charged more than even the few instances on NBA Today in the past where she was emotionally charged. And then she also jumped to conclusions and cut off Perk on NBA Today to imply it must be one-sided when Perk had the info and was saying it wasn’t. Completely contradicting what Perk said and interrupting him. I get her passion for this discussion, but y’all should really take a look at those segments and ask yourself: - 1. Was she obstinate or rude? SAS thought so, as did many viewers. The same way we can blame anyone else for defending Udoka, we can absolutely blame Malika or anyone else for singling Udoka out as the only guilty party. No matter which side you pick you’re jumping to conclusions based on details that help your agenda while ignoring the others that don’t . - 2. Who is the one picking a side too early? I listened to both SAS and Perk say Udoka is in the wrong, the Celtics leaked the news too early (Joel you don’t have to believe they leaked it, the people they leaked it to say it was them and if Perk has the answers an no one else does I mean…), and if it was consensual why is only he suspended? That sounds par for the course for what we all feel and I think that last part is where Malika jumped to the conclusion the woman has no culpability and implied heavily, if not stating directly, that based on what we know it’s clear to her only one party is at fault. If that’s the case, it must be more than just a consensual fling, or else the woman would be in trouble. That’s ASSUMING there isn’t more to come and another suspension. Which is why it was shocking, less so with SAS and more so with Perk later in the day when she doubled down, because you know, I know, we all know, no shot she has more info than Perk but he’s the one saying he’s got the answers and KNOWS the story but can’t say what it is YET he is asking why only Udoka was held accountable. For her to cut that guy off and push an agenda hours after the SAS debacle to contradict all Perk just said, is dying on the hill of an assumption and seemed like an ego trip by her to make up for the morning segment since it was “her show” and SAS grilled her when she acted like first take was “her show”. Also, a good point y’all almost touched on and missed completely, Drew asked why he was only suspended a year. My guess is it was a compromise, but it’s hard to say. He still gets 50% of his salary while suspended. Now imagine what SAS and the rest of the media shit storm that would ensue… if they fired Udoka, a black coach in Boston, and hung him out to dry with no due process… It would be a MILLION times worse. Stephen A would be still on air rn raging. It would be a way bigger mess. Getting the proper evidence to make the big decisions that damage an individual takes a lot of it to be sure you’re prepared to execute whatever punishment there is and not expose the franchise or league to any danger. Robert Sarver is perfect example. Donald Sterling was recorded and blatant publicly about his racism, Sarver was much more careful than Sterling and was never caught in the act and recorded. The NBA could NOT force him to sell, it would leave them open to litigation as there are only a laundry list of allegations, no hard evidence. Same way firing Udoka with the details we have now would likely lead to litigation. Once we know more, everyone can see who was right or wrong. Until then, anyone who picks a side, whether it’s Malika’s or SAS/Perk, is embarrassing themselves and the vindication of being right won’t wash that away.

Drew is high in this pod. He said a lot of things off like the MIP correlated to team wins. But what made me comment this is when he said Bojan is on the same level offensively with Hayward. Yeah like Riv said, watch some basketball.

I do wish JJ asked him about the FT as if he was some who shot 70% from the line it really wouldn't matter if he never shot a 3 again he could average 25-30ppg with more aggression. This is my opinion but I think his lack of aggression was part mental health and part lack on confidence about his FT he was afraid to attack the basket knowing he would be fouled and miss the shots and he couldn't take the pressure. At least Ben is an elite play maker so he probably thought he could get away with just that and defence. Hopefully he now has him mental health right and can get the confidence back and be more aggressive if he can he really is a Giannis with playmaking which has alot of value. In terms of basket ball fit the nets is almost perfect but Ben's real issue (IMO) comes from his mental health the nets might not be the best locker room with all the drama, sure he has Patty mills as another Australian that he's close with but between KD, Kyrie and the front office drama will been really have the support he needs to bring out his agreesion. At a minimum hopefully Nash (a career 90+ from the line) can teach him how to make his FT.
