Probably similar. The A class was rebuilt from The B class and the turbo sounds really good. Check out the Wiki link en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/V/Line_A_class
The containers on the first train originated in Mildura during the conversion to standard gauge. Wakefield Transport now Seaway operated road trains to Manangatang and loaded there.
@@doncraig-brown7163 But the second intermodal set is now running at times as lately, container traffic has built up, thankfully. I know what you mean though.
The tremendous opening sequence was for a temporary arrangement while the Mildura line (north of Dunolly, plus the indirect route Ararat to Maryborough) was being converted to standard gauge (and in latter case reopened), so a brief explanation about that would have been good but thankfully a comment below has already said some of that. A very, very good representation of lower east coast Oz trains, sans Queensland, WA and for what it's worth, Tasmania. Great video!
@@Schony747 Read the Auditor General's report. It extensively covers this subject. Hard to see SG happening unless there's eventually a change of government in Victoria. But I agree conversion is essential and ought occur.
@@Schony747 True, but such investment brings income/payroll/GST/land tax revenue and most importantly, jobs whether direct or indirect, and has side benefit of rural Councils/Regional Roads Victoria (VicRoads) spending less on fixing roads damaged by repeated B-Doubles.
Hey with NR103 can someone tell Pacific National to make all the NR’s look like that I like a lot better then the yellow also good shots and some interesting ones too well done
The Shutdown of the Line to Newcastle deserves a Royal Commission Investigation. This is not how Australia deals with their population.. This is distinctly a Grab for Real Estate by, Big Business Tycoons to get at a cheap priced Prime Real-Estate.I hope the ATO makes them pay for their efforts......It's Distasteful..
It's interesting. Even some of the fiercest opponents are now ok with the tram idea. There will always be people who disagree but many are pretty happy now. I was impressed when I saw the set-up.
