Thanks brother Saleh Johar. Yes, it is the Eritrean flag which approved by United Nations as well as Eritrean people. Keep it and let the new generation know their original flag. Bravo.
Dear Saleh, As always you came up today with a background of the flag of the Awate and the advice and what should be done to strengthen the struggle for our freedom is an excellent job. You never stopped doing your part whether giving lessons, presenting documentation or advice I always enjoy with no reservations. Nobody can match you as an individual contributor to the struggle. Today the struggle is intensifying for the first time since Independence by the young generations and our hope is brighter. As we know since Independence the young Eritreans who were born 5 to 10 years before 1991 and those who were born after 1991 are the most deprived of everything from basic human rights, education, job opportunities, get married and what have you. These young Eritreans are the future of Eritrea. Therefore, they need to be educated and know everything about Eritrea. Therefore, old ages, middle ages and new generations we are all together in the struggle to free and finally go back home - sweet home - ERITREA 🇪🇷. Dear Saleh what can I say, I wish we had more people like you to lead the struggle or educate our young generations to mature and contribute healthy outcome. Time has come the BRIGADE NEHAMADU/NEHAGERU born in Europe and I am hoping like Sunami goes all the way to USA, Africa, Middle East, Australia, New Zealand or wherever Eritreans live. These young Eritreans have to be well organized- it is a key to be successful. Thanks

Mr Salah i got a question for you what's the problem of current Eritrea 🇪🇷 flag? Doesn't it have a bad meaning for you? I hope you will answer me. Thanks.
No no problem about the Eritrean current flag:: question for you what is the problem with the federation Eritrean flag??? Why do you support the criminal dictator?? why are you against the constitution? Why why waywsy ??????
@@solomonteshagerethiopian6483i can at least think of one reason to reject the current flag. It represent the organizational emblem of those that has stripped us of our freedoms and dignity, destroyed the political institutions and economc potential of our country, and exiled us by the hundreds of thousands.
Thank you for bringing this Idea . To hold it for the wrong purpose is as eqaully dangerous as disrespecting it .Nowadays we see Groups who have nothing to Do with eritrea ( the black sheep of the community ) holding the flag. The bitter truth is they are holding it for their own agenda like Abay tigray . Going down to their level is not important But surely they need some Lessons 😊. The title you choose for your videos is also to the point and descriptive . Keep up the good work .
I always hear that Eritrea is a result of Italian colonization, with no background and no basis. I would love if you could teach us about the history of Eritrea.
You heard right. Eritrea is nothing more than an artificial legacy of Italian colonialism. From its name and borders to its infrastructures. Even the Tegrena we speak is bastardized with Italian influences.
The Blue-Olive flag is an official Eritrean flag ratified by the 68 members of Eritrean constitutional assembly in 1952,it is replaced by one man in 1993….it is a flag in waiting to be reinstated !
I would prefer we reinstate a new flag that incorporates new colours, symbolism, and designs. The current flag is the emblem of those who has destroyed our humanity, dignity, and national potential, and the blue flag can only represent the generation that failed to preserve the liberal democratic government they got from the international community.
The thing is not to tell a grown man what to do, or how to decorate his house, you can raise whichever flag you want, and you have the right to be unwise. Rather the point is to discuss what is wise, without disagreeing on the right to be wrong. The blue flag is not something we look down upon; it is indeed a part of Eritrean history, and it should not be hidden in the dark. To bring the flag from time to time, as a history lesson is good, but to hold on to that flag, while other ways another one is problematic. We don´t need more polarization, the flag does indeed carry symbolism and these plays a role in the minds of common people! Why complicate matters more?
Very true, but such damaging discourse can be ameliorated by the PFDJ which caused it all. I feel this flag represents all the struggle for which we paid dearly. And accepting everything imposed on the nation by the power of guns in the hands of the PFDJ is not right. That’s why I oppose everything imposed on us. But once the nation establishes a parliament, I will go with what is decided by a dully elected body of legislators, not an unelected party. I hope you agree to that. Thank you
@@NEGARIT I´m against HGDEF, by the way! Yes, nobody takes away what the blue flag stood for. It is part of Eritrean history, no doubt! I did choose the word "wise" deliberately because you can indeed make your case for holding on to that flag, but the question is not whether it is right or correct, but whether it is wise to do so, and to choose your battles! As you are older than me, I would not elaborate too much on the difference between being right or wise. I don´t know the demographics of the Eritrean community, but I would guess it´s not too different from other African nations, where the biggest groups are young people. In the Eritrean community, you have people born in 80´s and 90´s "only" knowing the official flag. Just imagine people born after the 98-00. Some of these people are 23 years old!!! Not to mention the big chunk of our community supporting the regime and the current flag. To come with an alternative flag whatever the arguments you present is unwise and cause for polarizing (which we already have, but why add to it), and cause for confusion for the younger ones. There are so many other things to correct in our country that should be a priority. Well, if it is only a piece of fabric (the flag), then why would I care? Because the common man, will make it an issue and not let go, only the wise would. And in the question of the flag, someone needs to be the bigger man, and the wiser one. I believe you are one of those figures. Thanks!
@@NEGARITThe thing about the old blue flag is that it is to similar looking to the Somali flag. Its colour and design is obviously inspired by the UN flag. It cannot serve us as a true national flag due to its association with an international organization. Although i prefer it to the current flag, which i think we ought to dismiss as the emblem of those that have not only destroyed the political and economc potential of our country but the humanity, dignity, and aspiration of our people to live, work, and build families in their own country with and among their own people, i think that we ought to adopt a new flag that incorporate new colours, designs, and symbolism that represent the current struggle and future success of our people in liberating our country from the jaws of the communist despot, and building a free, dignified, and prosperous nation. I have my own thought on how our flag ought to look like. Perhaps there is some flaw in my ideas that you could easily detect.

Truth! You never showed respect but abuse and insulting. So I am weyane because of that Eritrean flag? Did you day that to the Tedemerenal crows who read the same script as you? Stop that none sense
My brother this time when so many confusions are taking place bringing that old flag is not advisable. When everything got right may be the right time to to discuss about that flag. The choice is yours.
I suspect you didn’t listen but just reacted impulsively. Without thinking of your question. Listen to it again, without prejudice and let me know your objection clearly.
