Found another source for the VR5 engine mounts. They seem to be the same as the mount used on the Audi Q7 VR32 and also the Touareg 3.2l. They start for about $35 and go up from there. Manufacturer Part Numbers: 022199354L / 022199354 L / 022 199 354 L and ZH29F5.

This makes me want a VR6 swapped B5

Starting to seriously consider a 3.2 24v swapped B7 as a daily since there are so many 2.0Ts around with skipped timing. Definitely going to be rewatching a lot of your videos over the next year or so lol.

Two things: 1) Definitely use the passenger side also as it would be a more comprehensive test for the kit, and 2) Having a reliable source for a better part is a win-win.

Do they sell just the adapter plate? Without the engine mount(transverse vr😞) but looks like a nicer looking peice then the schimmel performance one idk if the filter would clear the rad support tho..

so the factory oil filter carrier / bracket its from a V5 passat or a touareg/q7/cayenne?

What about going from a 1.8t to the 3.6l vr6 will these work for that swap as well?

I haven't check out the website link yet, I'm I'm pretty sure it'll answer my questions, but is there a big difference in the blocks besides bore n stroke, from the 2.8l 24v and the 3.2l 24v? And why haven't you swapped to a 3.2l?

When you're doing a VR swap on a B5 or B6 is it possible to keep AC, Heat, Power steering?

How much?!?!? Americans do the same thing as soon as something is in demand the price skyrockets. Just look at the price of masks right now. So will see how good this is when we hear the price. Don't get me wrong it seems pretty awesome.
