I do a book version of the temperature blanket. For every book i read, i crochet a square that symbolizes it. Sometimes it's inspired by the cover, sometimes by something from inside of the book. At the end of the year i crochet it all together in chronological order and have a blanket of all the books i read!

I’m more of a knitter than a crocheter, so I knit when watching my regular RU-vid videos as I can do plain knitting without looking. I’m currently using a row counter from Twice Sheared Sheep and it’s made a huge difference! No stopping to pick up a pen to count rows or losing the paper my counts are on. Game changer.

While watching today, I’m working on a baby book of textures- each page is a 8x8” swatch of a textured stitch. Today’s pages were shell stitch and crab stitch :) Already finished bobbles, wonky granny, basketweave, and diamond waffle…. Only 8 pages left! Love the book covers, though. ❤

If you haven't already, you should read the murder mystery books by Rita Mae Brown with Mrs. Murphy. Great cozy mysteries with animals that solve mysteries and have to help the humans solve the mystery. The cats as well as the other animals talk but the humans don't understand them. Still, somehow they communicate.

What a great video. I've made two sets of the Frog and Toad in knitting - they benefit being made from some seriously good DK yarn (and ground coconut shell for the filling), but the gorgeous Shetland yarn for the clothes is absolutely required. I must try the crochet version one day. Oh, and that shark bookend is absolutely brilliant - I'm getting my hook out for that.

@@EliseRoseCrochet I purchased a Frog and Toad compilation book on Amazon for about $10 about 6 months ago after seeing and purchasing the pattern. I thought that that would make a great gift set. I have been moving, so this has been on a back burner. Frog and Toad were favorites of my children when they were small. My youngest is 34, and has a room with a wall full of books. We read every night when they were little, and I think books are a wonderful gift for new parents!

Hi there! I'm using my dad's computer, my name is Grace and I'm 14, and I just finished watching your fantastic video. I got so inspired I just wanted to crochet everything you talked about! I am definitely going to make one of those book sleeves. By the way, have you ever thought of having a few friends or relatives each picking you out one spool of yarn and then you making something small like a granny square with each spool of yarn they pick out for you, and at the end rating witch yarn worked out the best and had the best stitch definition? Wow everything blew my mind love everything you showed so awesome you inspired me to get busy this winter ❄️❄️ and crochet away or at least try some of these awesome projects:-). Hi Elise..I have idea for your next video(it's ok if you can't do it😊)...Have your husband blindfold you and take you to Michaels, Joann, etc (I really recommend Joanns).Then go the knitting/crochet aisle and while blindfolded, try to buy knitting/crochet items..Trust me it's going to be fun..Bye elise❤

I love these projects. I am an avid reader as well. I also love audio books and have for years. I am also a historian and teach history. When you mentioned Wikipedia, I cringed. I use it to on occasion. But please don't take every bit of info about a a person, place, thing, or event they list with a grain of salt. Wikipedia is not a reliable or accurate source. Matter of fact most University and high schools will not allow it as a source for research. But for fun to get an idea about people it is great. Again I use it too but not often.

Very good video ! I’ve had a Little Free Library for 12 years now and I love to read 🧡 I also volunteer for Book It Forward at my local Y. I really love the idea of crocheting a book character and pairing it with the book! I think I’ll try to make bookmarks for my book club buddies 🧶🧡☺️….have a great weekend….. Another great video, but why is nobody highlighting the fact that it is amazing that you negotiate givaways in your sponsorship deals ? It must take you some extra work to do so AND it's a great way to connect with your community and thank your viewers for their support!

They don't normally sell where I live so it may be the only way I ever get my hands on one of their hooks - if I end up winning and if they manage to ship it to me that is 😅)
