Kind of crazy that you have to start notching structural parts to get other parts to fit. I did NOT know this about the non-V8 models when doing the swap. Thanks!
I got a 2012 dodge charger se v6 would it be compatible with mines and if so what exactly will I need in terms of parts besides the differential to make the swap ?
haha you want that video don’t ya 🤣, nah i haven’t bought it yet that would be one of the last things i do tbh, i need to get a lot of these other pieces on the car first and then i’ll take another look at it
Bro I know I'm late but with the 3.90 swap what axles do I need and do I need them for the front and rear or just rear. P.S. I'm new to this car stuff Im learning alot from just watching you guys on RU-vid.
ummm just get a factory rear from a 2015 challenger r/t manual (no mds). it comes with 3.9 rear gears. well, mine did when I bought it new. Also, Corsa did the exhaust on these for Dodge. the Bullet mufflers are the best off these manual cars. Maybe everybody knows this stuff. just sharing what I learned.
I think it's just based on your axle size. My 2020 R/T came with 230 mm axles and I've just installed a 3.90 LSD that comes with the manual scatpack. However, while it was fun, I',m going to switch to a 3.09 LSD instead, that comes with the auto scatpack, to keep my fuel mileage.
@BOOSTED LUCKEY I’m staring to mod my V6 Challenger and was wondering if I install the 390 LSD would I have to change out my rear axles with a scats rear or could I leave stock
Yo Luckey I got a challenger gt, do you think this mod is possible for those awd models? Also if it’s not too much trouble could I have a rough estimate of how much those axels and gears cost you?
The two bolts that go through the diff from the back side (21mm) are they just threaded through the diff or do they have nuts on the front side? Im asking cause one side of mine looks like the nut has sheared off. The 21mm on the driver side looks like the nut sheared off.
@@BOOSTEDLUCKEY I was wondering how you got those bolts out... I was thinking the subframe needed to be dropped. So pretty much one or both of those bolts will get backed up against the trunk tire well if thats what its called and you just keep loosening the bolts and sliding the diff forward correct?
Everyone askin dumb ass questions that he mentioned in the video all I needed was to figure out why my 230mm axles kept getting cut by the spring link but the hellcat diff goin back on the v6 💪🏾
It would help if u could provide a link. Or something to ur parts. Since. Im watching ur videos n u getting payd for it ....not just Google it .. but thanks. 86 face was more helpful
@@chevy-714 LMFAOOOO you got the game messed up 😂 i’m not some servant i didn’t buy my parts with a link 💀 if you don’t like the information go watch him instead nobody forcing you to view the videos i’m not some “youtuber” i just film what i already do in my spare time and i get my stuff locally 😂
