The woodstove in the basement is a huge plus in the Winter. It would give you so much thermal mass heating radiating up from the basement throughout the structure of the home. Add a few register vents for each room upstairs and your golden. Also once you have that thermal mass heating "a couple of days" you can burn the woodstove in the basement at a bare minimum. Save $$$$.
Lovely home with a really nice kitchen/family room and good ceiling height, and a beautiful yard and land. Too much square footage for me, but it's going to make a family a very lovely home. Great tour! Great bonus that it has 2nd well for a tiny house or an RV to hook up.
My guess is this one will sell fast, it has a lot going for it. The price, seems right to me, affordable, not out of reach and the house is in extremely good condition. The tax bill is just low enough so that someone wouldn't feel like they were renting from the county government (a real problem in some areas of Maine). Love the extra garage andd nice fields.
