I'd like to recommend Candles. It's an old free horror game about coming home to find your house infested by strange creatures that need to be repelled with light, so you must wander around your large home lighting up candles to create safe zones. It's very cozy when you have an area with a lot of light, but has creepy elements too when you need to delve into the dark.
I remember watching PewDiePie play the pizza delivery and one late night games in like 2012 when I was like 7 or 8 and it is awesome to be reminded these games existed
As a pizza delivery person, you are never EVER suppose to enter a persons home unless they are quite literally an elderly person that obviously can't attack you. you leave that shit at the door and run lmfao
Heh. Before the crappy 'Made in Unity' era (FNaF, Slender clones and earlier), there was the crappy RPG Maker era along with cheap Flash knockoffs of whatever was popular in the late 90's and 00's. In hindsight, I'm glad we're still in the retro-horror and liminal/backrooms internet phase. Brace yourself for retro-PS2 games, especially the early launch titles aesthetics, in a few years from now if it isn't already a thing.
One Late Night and Pizza Delivery bring back memories! You should check out Paranormal and Insert Title Here if you're ever going to make a part two. :D
I remember all of the Slender Man clones pretty fondly. The number of SCP-related games were actually really good (SCP: Containment Breach & SCP 087-b) with the community mods being pretty fun. Not all of them were in unity, but still a trip down memory lane.
I've watched your SH2 playthrough a couple of times now, I love how much you appreciate the small atmospheric elements and artistry that other LPers skim over! I would absolutely love if you ever got around to playing SH3 or SH1, I'd be interested to hear your opinion on them and the different themes/aesthetics they explore compared to 2.
I would like to recommend the Timore series. It is a very old franchise from the early 2010’s era it looks and feels like a unity game and plays like one aswell and it’s actually quite scary at some points in time
