In Dragon Age Inquisition double dagger rogues can have a hard time in the beginning. Well, not with these builds! These three rogue builds will make sure you will reach Skyhold without problem.
1) AOE dual-daggers are so good, despite the hit you take to single-target max damage. 2) I don't know what it is, but the difficulty spike when clearing out the rebel mages stronghold in the HInterlands ALWAYS gives me fits on higher difficulty. 3) I'm surprised a cold / spirit mage build works at low levels on nightmare. It seems like damn near all the enemies I run into are immune to frozen / paralysis
I will speak for myself that using the KNOCKED BACK skill is much more useful than I could have imagined when I first played it as I didn't know anything about the game. When I came back to play last year I knew a little bit about each player and skill, BUT when paying attention to these and other skills I saw something much better than I expected and that would help me fight stronger enemies including dragons, than in the first few sometimes they gave me a deadly hatred.
Hi Herceg. A build idea: "Elemental Master" Tempest DW Rogue. With the usual spinning blades, deathblow, flank attack, poison leech, throwing dagger, lost in the mist AND flask of frost. The gist is to craft the daggers with hardened gurn (immolate), and silverite (chain lightning). And use appropriate runes on top of that. Pros : - near invincible - elemental dmg that triggers on throwing daggers and/or deathblow ignores the enemy armors. (Which is monumental) - cookie-cutter ish. Able to deal with any situation. Cons: - farm dependent and high leveled only - due to heavy investment in both DW and Sabotage, might not be able to pick all tempest passives. - probabbly only feasible for human Inky for +5 skill points Too bad rogues cant equip Elemental Pact belts 💀
I've been watching Dragon Age builds for nearly 2 weeks now but I haven't decided which DA game to play again. I wasn't a fan of the DW rogue in DAI but if I'm gonna play it again, I will give it a try.
You have to be one of if not THE goat of DAI in terms of pure gameplay, managinf to give caltrops (albeit with an upgrade) a non circunstancial use. I apreciate all the work you are doing in keeping non lore DAI ciontent alive until with get Dreadwolf. Cannot imagine what you may pull off depending on the gameplay of the next game.
love your video's. keep them coming can not wait for dreadwolf. Also noticed you had a favorite weapon schematic build but not a armor one. Is it possible for you to do an armor one?
Thanks! :) Yeah, many people asked me that, but the thing is, I always stick to the same few armors unlike with the weapons. I always pick the Superior/Sturdy Prowler Armor for the rogue, the Superior Battlemage Armor for the mage and either the Superior Battlemaster Armor or the Griffon Plate Mail for the warrior. :)
Using Throwing Blades just before any abilities will greatly strengthen that ability damage. It should be a priority over Spinning Blades that often fail to trigger additional hits.
None of these builds have both ability, so based on them you can’t prioritize one over the other. Throwing Blades has its problems too, namely the targeting. It often selects targets randomly, ruining the dmg buff. Neverending Spin only fails to trigger if your last hit was a miss with Spinning Blades, or your target dies first(or you are interrupted of course).
One thing I noticed unless I missed it. You haven’t done a video on a dual-wield warrior for DA:O/DA:OA, specializations, gear etc. would be cool to have a rough idea if I did up a warrior run again. I’m also with you, I miss how warrior was so unlimited in Origins only to have it restricted so badly rolling into 2 & Inquisition. I think even the dev team (besides the writers) have a big biases toward mages because their versatility wasn’t hammered as badly as it was for warrior. Don’t get me wrong, Inquisition really dumbed down a lot of things, but warrior just feels the most impacted. I tend to play mage and I miss the huge spell selection we had in Origins and even in DA2.
Yeah, I made a video on why the Dual Wiled warrior was awesome, but I did not make a specific build about it yet. But I will. Sadly, yes, everything gets dumbed down, because Dragon Age is moving closer towards the consoles and away from the pc. So you need smaller roster with quick and easy selection. It is a shame, but unfortunately I don't think this will change. After Origins, you can really feel that the devs wanted you to play the way they want you to play and not the way you want to play. Meaning, Warriors are strictly tanks, rogues are only good for damage and mages are crowd control. Of course they sometimes slip up and make mistakes which we can build on to create a different experience. But mainly, they just want you to play the way they want, unlike in Origins where they offered a huge selection of tools so you can create whatever fun build you come up with.
hey man im finding it difficult to find builds, can you recommend a good tempest build? i only just started, i saw one of yours but i cant seem to find it again...
If you used the eliminator on AI would they only use deathblow when the enemies are lower HP and if not how would you recommend the priority for it be? Preferred or enabled? :)
Nope. There is no option in the game to set a skill up for "keeping it when needed", sadly. Which is basically what you want with Deathblow - use it when enemies are below 50%. They use it whenever they want to basically. That is what "preferred" means. I would put Deathblow as preferred because that way they have a higher chance of using it when the enemies are at lower health, because they have a higher chance of using the skill - basically whenever it's not on cooldown and you have the stamina, they will use it. :)
@@AKisHerceg I was afraid of that but appreciate the reply! and love all the videos I’m actually using one of the mage ones and sword and board ones! ❤️
Really old? I guess its subjective, but two years feels like yesterday to me. lol Anyway, about the fast casting: well, I usually let my mages use all their available mana, which means that you have to set up available mana use to 0% - this way they will cast until their mana pool hits 0%(the default is 50%). The Winter's Stillness passive is also great early on because it gives 50% mana regen and -33% cooldown times. If you combine that with Clear Burn, then you can have very fast casting even early on. Plus when you go after Clean Burn, you automatically pick up Flashpoint which can be another free spell whenever you hit critical.
I think you should have a clear plan and relative experience to play on nightmare with all trials) otherwise you will just waste your time and nerves...surely you will pass eventually, but will not receive a good game experience
Varric is much more practical as a dual dagger. Since he can have 3 fade-touched materials ☝️ I am still on Haven lv12 so far. Not doing In Your Heart Shall Burn yet 😤 Waiting til the ambassador indian chick is done with an 8 hour mission
I prefer him that way too for that exact reason. Btw Jospehine is from Antiva - Antiva is based on Italy not India - she looks like someone from southern Italy. :)
Daggers don’t deal aoe damage, dual-blades do. That’s it. I prefer daggers because there are some sick craftable daggers in the game with awesome stats. :)
@@Azrael-Xbox Impact? Not sure I get you. Their damage is based on what schematics you make them from. Daggers hit a single enemy- dual-blades hit multiple with basic attacks. That’s it. :)
Just starting a new playthrough on Xbox because it's on game pass, only ever played it on Playstation... But were are all the alternative skills?? When you upgrade a skill now you only have one option... Wtf happened to ALL the other skills .
