Hey Matt. Thanks for all the help. Last year, as an engaged man I had a terrible bout of this. It actually occurred before then lasting most of my relationship. Through your videos, I was able to learn how to cope and change my mindset. I am now newly married and as happy as can be free from the demon that is ra. For all those suffering, know that you’re not alone and that although it may feel hopeless now, things can get better. Matt is an amazing resource and can help you like he helped me. Such a bizarre past few days.. getting jealousy and anxiety over stuff that happened 15 years ago and months before we even met.. I asked questions and hated the answers.. I must be losing it.. happy to see I’m not alone

I ended a 15 year relationship because of Retroactive Jealousy I felt so much relief then I was dating for a year and found an amazing innocent girl and thought I was free then she told me all the stuff she has done in the past before I got to tell her how important it was I never hear it now I'm back in a much worse situation than before.

I think the worst thing to happen to a RJ sufferer happened to me, she told me a version of her past which i was happy with and i could deal with, 6 months later afer some investigation i found out it was all lies, lies which she had told me too deceive me into a relationship with her i was and am crushed. But i realise this is my RJ, and im going to deal with it, and i am going to make this relationship work. i won't let this thing leave me alone and unhappy again. Good luck everyone.

@agentjbl yeah I get that a lot. I have come to the realisation that my reaction to things has pushed her to try and keep the details away from me it does get confusing sometimes. When I'm rational, I realise that it doesn't really matter. Good luck. 👍

Very hard for me to let go of my wifes hoe past. Its like a feeling of disgust. I hate it so much. Wish i never felt this way😢 its almost every day. Like im fine thru out the day but it sits in the back of my head just eating me. I guess its cos i wasnt a hoe as a teen and j feel last and all these guys got to run thru her then when she had enough she settled for me. Pretty shit feeling in all honesty.

Hello! I just wanted to comment to maybe help with what you're going through. I think how you feel is pretty valid and honestly as someone who also suffers from RJ I also have a hard time going about my days without thinking about my girlfriend's past. I noticed you mentioned your wife having a phase and honestly it is hard to get over it. Especially when both you and your wife experienced different things growing up. I would say try not to see it as a hoe phase. It's easier said than done but I think we just have to try to acknowledge that our partner's experience and lifestyle was most likely different from us. Maybe they had family problems growing up, maybe they never understood what love was until they met you, it could be anything. I'm not saying to excuse your wife's past but also don't make her at fault for things that happened before you. Again, your feelings are valid and even until today I have a hard time following my own advice. But I also remind myself that ill be my partner's last, and that they chose me at the end of the day. Hell, you can even think of her experience as a way to please you more. If she didn't have her experience, go through her mistakes, how would she know what's good and what's not good?

Me personally, I believe that finding the one, that special girl who saved herself till she met you, for you is the best way to deal with this problem. If you really think about it, you are suffering because your partner CHOSE to do those things (casual fun), while fully knowing that they want to MARRY someone and have kids in the future, which is a huge red flag for me. So maybe RJ is simply a negative symptom of this modern western world, and finding a proper traditional woman at church or in another country is the only way out. There are 7 billion people in the world, I'm positive there's a special someone out there for everyone.

For some yes, for me it still occurs even that my girlfriend was virgin when we got together. I m jealous that she kissed two guys before me and danced with some guy at the club, nothing sexually, absolutely no sexual history and am still getting those feeling. She is also sweet, kind and pretty girl from good family. I m trying to cure this...

@@Ian-uu7st Well man she doesn't have any sexual history, irrational is to think that she would be waiting for me her whole life. She kissed two guys while after few dated with them year apart and she figured that these are not the guys she wants to be with. I slept with one girl before her and kissed 7-8 girls. We are both 21 btw. I will keep fighting against this disease!
