Frederick Valentich (/ˈvæləntɪtʃ/) was an Australian pilot who disappeared while on a 125-nautical-mile (232 km) training flight in a Cessna 182L light aircraft, registered VH-DSJ,[1] over Bass Strait on the evening of Saturday 21 October 1978. Described as a "flying saucer enthusiast", twenty-year-old Valentich informed Melbourne air traffic control that he was being accompanied by an aircraft about 1,000 feet (300 m) above him and that his engine had begun running roughly, before finally reporting: "It's not an aircraft."
That's my favorite UFO case, and widely documented for decades: "Unsolved Mysteries with Robert Stack" had a particularly good segment on Frederick, back in the 90s.

The Air Force Scorpion that disappeared over Lake Superior COULD possibly be found by mini subs triangulating its last know position. After all, The Edmond Fitzgerald was found completely intact WITH it's Captain and crew at the bottom of Lake Superior, not so long ago.
@@tconlon251 IF the Air Force would release the exact coordinates, if not this video would suffice. But, I think the depth is too much for divers, and mini subs or, those little search machines (I don't know their proper names) that have been used to explore the Titanic might have to be used. I'll have to double check the episode of Ask A Mortician that covered the Edmond Fitzgerald to see what method was used to find the ship.

I found this one extra fascinating as the last incident happened on my birthday and at the town where I was born. I do believe as well that Eugene got intersepted with a UFO craft. no doubt

Just a heads up. There is a vast difference between a balloon ist and man-powered flight! And it's never aliens. Ever. I remember that Angola flight. That was odd indeed! The Scorpion flight has always fascinated me. What happened? We may never know until we scour the bottom of the lake for the wreckage.

Wow no #3 is wild but never think that someone even a sibling that you know that they wouldn't do something like that you can't read really what is really going on in someone else mind trust me I have had this happen to me and I never seen it coming and I would never of thought in a million years that my sibling did what she did.
It's one thing for a boat to go missing, no great mystery there, but when planes vanish from the sky and never land anywhere again (assuming they didn't go into the water) they should be found, especially if they are large. That French flight coming from South America to France that crashed into the ocean, a wide open, remote stretch of it, eventually it was found.

Hello all, you know it just amazes me how the USAF could not tell the truth... "We don't know what happened" is what they should have said right from the beginning... Instead, the USAF decides it's better to play the blame game... Worst of all was for the USAF to try and place blame on those 2 heroic young men that possibly lost their lives that day!!! Its obvious the powers that be will throw anyone at anytime under the bus as long as it's not themselves!!!
That plane is in the congos. Of course I don't know for sure. But large aircraft have vanished before. As with ships. It was not until the 80s when Titanic was located. Government hides entirely too much regardless if its the U.S. or other. Either scandal or mishap. The answers are classified.
pretty sure the balloonist did not immediately rise to 200,000 metres! - going that high above the earth i think would put one into space! commercial aircraft today dont go higher than about 10km
Because they actually found some debris belonging to MH 370... it did not completely vanish without a trace like these cases. There is proof that the plane crashed. We just did not find it yet.
I read this exact event some years ago. To my mind, what happened to Moncla was covered up by your government, as they have done from its inception. He flew up with another airman in another aircraft ; i can not recall if that aircraft disappeared also; to intercept an unidentified object seen on radar screens. You do not "just disappear" some event hs to happen in order for that to take place. either the air command made them disappear, for resons i cannot fathom.... or, they were intercepted by the very object they were chasing. It has to be one, or other.
