I’m 73 female. Began carnivore and intermittent fasting 2 years ago. I began NOT for the weight loss ( although I did loose 50 lbs) but to become healthier. It’s truly easy eating for me. Within 3 month of beginning, I got off all meds. I have so much more energy. No gasses, bloating, uncontrollable feeling. Wish I’d learned of this many years earlier. 💜

Me too on the T2D. I’m 73 and started losing on keto type diet about a year or 18 months ago. I’ve lost about 80 lbs but have about another 100 +lbs to still lose. I’m doing a keto/ketovore/carnivore diet now to try to get back on the wagon. Since October and over the holidays I fell off the wagon due to travel, events, and holidays. So on 2/1/24, I’m now back on the wagon and have lost half of the weight that I had gained over that period. I have another 7 lbs to lose to pick up where am left off. 🤞🏻onward and downward!😊

I am a 71 year old male and started carnivore 03/01/2021. I haven't experienced any of these problems but I did go through about 6 weeks of very loose bowels. Afterwards, I returned to normal and have had no other problems. I have lost 80lbs since I went on a carnivore diet. Also, my beard became much thicker within 8 months of starting the diet. Lastly, I had cancer 9 years ago and lost all the hair on my legs and arms which never came back until, in the last 3 months, the hair on my limbs has returned. All the inflammation in my knees and hands is now gone and I am no longer on a daily prescription nsaid (Meloxicam). This life style change has been better than any other diet I have been on and I have tried them all including vegetarianism. Love my life

@@nikolaudio Hey, I eat about 3/4 lb of ground beef, 4-6 eggs, and usually a pound of some other meat, such as a steak, Roast, Salmon, ham, or chicken. I've started Keto about 5 months ago, but as I quickly lost weight and muscle mass, I switched to carnivore after 2 months. The changes were amazing! No more nausea and fatigue as during keto, gaining muscles rapidly, feeling energetic and strong, no cravings whatsoever. My weight is perfect right now, I lost 28 pounds and want to keep my current weight of 130 pound. I noticed, that I really enjoy my daily steaks, can't eat patties any more, like boiled eggs, but feel bad after eating fried eggs. Eat organic butter, no other milk products. When it feels right - gut feeling - I eat some berries from my garden or 1 or 2 tomatoes like once a week. I eat my first meal in the late morning between 10 and 11 and another between 3 to 4 p.m. After this I don"t feel hungry any more til next morning or noon. The most amazing result since being carnivore is that my unbearable pain in my hip joint has disappeard! I could hardly walk and never without pain. Now I work in the garden, walk or cycle daily, and practice some weight lifting. I haven't felt this great since my thirties, I'm 64 now, feeling way younger and I could't be more grateful to our carnivore youtubers, showing us the way! ❤

Thats what I feel about eggs too. Boiled are ok, then add butter & pepper, fried eggs are too rich. I think I should try scrambled with a little water. Edit: by accident, found that COLD fried eggs in butter are delicious! Tried scrambled eggs using some whipping cream, and they were very light, but my weight went up a bit. So dairy, apart from butter, may be doing something.

I started carnivore four years ago come Thanksgiving. I had always been veggies and eggs, but was continually breaking bones. After starting carnivore, I lost all but fuzz within about 3 months. Many thought I had undergone chemo or something. Now, I have hair to my waist, thick and curly. I am 67 years old. As a child, I was tortured each holiday at least with the wash and set ritual before conditioner for de-tangling was a thing. Oh it was horrible. With long straight hair, the pain was rough for a young child. Now, I beg forgiveness for enjoying such luscious curls at no tortuous expense! No broken bones for four years and no more pain at the break sites. That alone would be worth the diet, but thank God that's not the only benefit!

Loss and thinning of hair is caused by deficiency of vitamin B7 (biotin). Partially due to not eating enough of food containing vitamin B7 and partially due to malabsorption. Second missing element is collagen that adds flexibility. Best source of vitamin B7 are eggs. Followed by red meat and fish (salmon & sardines)

Thanks for asking🙂 I have been struggling with my love of sweets. I can go a week or two eating a variety of carnivore foods and feeling great, but a stressful day or a moment when I need to eat and have nothing carnivore available gets me off track. I 100% still consider myself carnivore because that is how I prefer to eat. I have been taking the relaxed route by allowing myself to go off course without putting myself down, but at the same time paying close attention to how foods affect me. I can confidently say that carnivore eating is satisfying to my body and my brain. When I eat off plan I always notice the feeling of emptiness that comes along with those foods. I may be bloated and have a buzz from the carbs, but my stomach feels unfed and my brain feels neglected. I crave meat now when I eat anything not on plan. Cold butter is my cheese. I am very thankful for learning about carnivore! I want to tell everyone about it🤗

I went from keto to ketovore/carnivore. As the pounds started falling off, so was my hair. Then we went through a drought and my friend's fruit trees dropped all of their fruit and a lot of their leaves. He told me it was the tree's way of self-preservation. I think some people have hair loss because the body is reacting to the steady weight loss. When my weight loss started to slow down my hair loss also slowed down and my hair started looking like it did before ketovore/carnivore. I guess the body knows that it is leveling off, so to speak.

What Bella shares about hair loss is factual. My experience: About 15 years ago I was hospitalized after a burst appendix which went septic. Nearly died, spent about 21 days in the hospital and received continuous IV antibiotics. Within about two weeks after being discharged from hospital, I noticed a huge loss of hair. Also, my skin and nails were sloughing off. Shaved my head and hair eventually grew back. Fast forward to my Carnivore experience. I have been on Carnivore diet for just over three years. I did experience the hair shedding, thinning about 3 months after starting this WOE. It only lasted for about 10 days and then I began to notice the new growth "baby hairs" coming in. A few months ago I went on a two week vacation and allowed myself to eat desserts and drink alcohol everyday. About a week after returning home, I noticed increased hair loss for about a week. Back to my clean WOE and hair, skin, nails getting better every day. Lesson learned!

My hair loss was far greater during vegan diet. And when I switched to carnivore and returned to eating beef and eggs after a decade, my hair was growing back and my beard, that had stopped growing, began to grow again and had to start shaving again! My whiskers were growing so slow and turning white, I didn't have to shave for a month! Now back to having to shave every few days. When I was young, had to shave daily or have a 5 o'clock shadow. My vision also improved and returned after carnivore, I was becoming legally blind after 7 years of vegan diet. The perpetuated lies and misinformation of the plant-based diet agenda is so dangerous. Still seeing videos claiming PhD's stating all you have to do is eat beans to get protein and don't eat so much! What a load of crap! I did so, and became malnurished, and pre-diabetic. And never got all my essential amino acids, or taurine! And no collagen. Which aged my skin. Not to mention the lack of B-12. and other B-complex vitamins! Damaged my nervous system, caused tinnitus, and vision loss.

There are days that for 3 days in a row I'll fast for 18h and then the rest of the week I eat 2-3 meals per day. Honey I totally find you so interesting. I'm 74 and been fine on this new way of eating. I still don't stay asleep, but I'm old and up all night going potty.the good thing is I'm able to fall right back to sleep. That I've never been able to do in the past. I'm only hungry barely in the early afternoon and again at about 5 but I'm really not hungry but I'm afraid I'll get hungry later and I'm trying to fast from 4pm to 11: 30 am. I have never craved sugar and I do drink 1 cup of coffee in the morning except now if I put cinnamon and 3 drops of Stevie it's the same to me as milk and sugar only better😅. Thank you for all your information. It's been wonderful.😊

I just wanted to share that low iodine in the diet can cause hair to fall out. I'm wondering how many of you have switched out your iodized salt for hymalayan like i did. I switched them out and maybe 3 months later, my hair fell out in chunks and my heels hurt. There is no iodine in hymalayan salt. Little cans of smoked clams or oysters is packed with iodine and sardines in oil probably has alot too. Alot of times the land an animal is raised on can be mineral deficient. And all you get is what the animal got. I have goats and our area is seleneum deficient. So i have to inject it into the animal every year and try to get the critter to get enough in loose minerals. If I dont, rhe animal gets rough coat, clicking knees, and may have dead babies. If the farmer isn't giving the cow an iodized salt block...guess what...you don't get enough in YOUR diet either. Nobody can thrive without iodine coming from SOMEWHERE. I know its not meat but one sheet of seaweed paper is a daily dose worth of iodine. The Himalayan salt has alot of goodies in it..just not iodine. I just shared a hard lesson learned.

I love your segments! You are inspirational. I had the issue with the hair (still) and have come to the conclusion that I was not eating enough, and doing too much fasting too soon while my body was trying to heal from diabetes, metabolic syndrome, fatty liver disease, sleep apnea etc etc. Way too much for my body to deal with at one time on one meal a day. So now I am eating twice or three times. I have increased my protein and cut my hair (was past my butt), to my shoulders, so my body did not have to deal with so much. I feel better and am putting way less stress on myself. I am low carb for the rest of my life. I am going to be kinder to me and realize it is a lifelong thing. Not a race.

Hi! So I realized that too much protein made my hair fall out. For months. It started off with protein powders and next thing I knew? Eggs. Coffee. Chicken breasts. And a host of foods that were supposed to be good for me. I came to realize that it was too much. I didn’t need all that protein. My body couldn’t process it. And what my body couldn’t process turned to sugar. Which took out my hair. That was just my journey. But maybe you may be experiencing something similar.

I’ve had chronic reoccurring telogen effluvium for over 10 years. Did keto and lost 45 lbs which triggered a bad shed. Been doing more ketovore/carnivore the last 2-3 months and my hair is starting to grow back 🙏🤞 On keto, my fat wasn’t high enough, and I did a lot of plant based protein powders, as well as restricting my total calories more than I should have. Upping my fat, red meat, and dumping most plants is what is helping me now. I’ve been taking pictures and I’m hoping to share some dramatic before and after pictures in a few months. Going from metabolizing carbs to a high fat low/low carb diet is a shock to the system. As well as losing a lot of weight in a short amount of time. But it will grow back! If you’re in the midst of a bad shed, consider seeing a dermatologist and they can do a steroid treatment on your scalp to help slow some of the shedding and help stimulate growth. Also consider a red light helmet. Rogaine is also an option for telogen effluvium.

I loved Factor before I went carnivore! (Queso Fundido was one of my favorites too!) One suggestion for those ordering from Factor: when the box arrives, take the cardboard sleeve off of each package, one at a time, turn it upside-down, and put it back on. For some odd reason, Factor puts the title of the dish on the underside of the package. Anyway, it’s easier to pull it out of the fridge and tell what’s in it if you take a couple of minutes to do this.

71 year old native here. Just halfway started on carnivore about 2 weeks ago, though now I'm getting more serious about it. Type ll diabetic, plus other health issues. Ate 3 eggs and one home cooked hamburger pattie at 8:30 am this morning. It's 6:30 pm as I write this, I still feel full, not hungry at all, and I actually feel better than I usually do. Oh yeah, I had a snack of 1 tbsp of butter at 3:30, still not hungry. Though that wasn't my goal, I went down 2 notches on my belt, don't feel bloated or uncomfortable, maybe there's something to this. I went into it sceptical, I love veggies, but have almost cut them out too and don't feel deprived at all. Maybe it's working for me ? Thank you for your informed advice, I am a new subscriber, your channel is great and gives me info that's understandable and practical. 👍🏽 Also, I have one arterial stent so my sodium is limited to 1,900 a day, and I try to stay in that range so my stent doesn't stop working, so I can't drink salt water..so far , so good. "inflation" caused by the last 3 years false imprisonment due to a scam is literally just started. Fiat system had a controlled demolition by the rulers to usher in the new digital monetary slave system. A crash happens when you stop business for 3 years...that was the plan. It worked. Sterilise the population. Plug out the old system. Plug in the new update slave system with less people which is easier to control for the rulers.

Started carnivore April 2023. I was terribly sick from my Dr taking me off Depakote (bipolar drug) cold turkey 8 years ago. He grimaced & said u might lose weight. In one month I'd lost 37 lbs.(down to 103 lbs.) I tried to gain weight for 8 years, eating fruit, juices, organic vegetables, beans, occasional salmon & filet mignon, gained up to 108 lbs from 103, I'm 5'4". Stayed at 108 for 8 years. First 2 months on carnivore I GAINED 15 lbs. I GAINED 2" of FAT in waist & lower abdomen, boobs, butt. I can't fit in my clothes. I started Lion Diet one month to try to lose this weird fat. I haven't lost any "yet." The most stress I have is being scared I can't get rid of this fat! I'm sleeping better than in years! I'm 68, menopause is over, labs are "carnivore perfect," taking 60mg Armour Thyroid for 12 years. In 6 months the only carbs I've eaten in 6 is fermented pickles. When I saw fat coming on, I'd been eating 1/2lb uncured side cut bacon/day. Did eating that much fat make me put on fat?

That still is $400/month just for meat. Being on a disability pension, this just wipes me out. I can go with primarily an all carb program for $80/month for a saving of $320. When it’s a choice of eat garbage, or don’t eat, it’s not much of a choice sometimes. At least buying at Mona Meats when I can saves me almost $300/month over buying at Costco, whose current pricing is approximately $13.60/#🇨🇦. It does take me about an hour or so, and throwing out approximately 1.5 lbs of extra fat, but it’s still worth it when I can afford to. It’s just that a whole sirloin is usually $150 at a time, and with a permanent disability pension that is a bit of a challenge.

You don’t have to just eat steak, try mixing it up

Eggs are cheap. Ground beef bought in bulk. Canned sardines. Bone-in chicken thighs with the skin on.

I'm 4 months in on ketovore. I don't say carnivore because i drink coffee, zevia now and then, and use monk fruit occasionally. I just noticed i lost hair, very much like your pic, Bella! I was so sad and started looking up what it was and how to fix it. Watched a bunch of video's and now this one so I feel better. Down 24 pounds in the 4 months so yes, that was a stressor for my body. My diet prior to this was keto but I drank a glass of wine almost every night! LOL Now, I allow myself 1 drink per weekend.

The one thing I am really starting to notice is the cost. We are very low income and doing this for our health (me and my son). We are at week three. I spent way more this month on food than I normally spend. We shop once a month and it's going to be hard to eat this way. We bought 3 cases of eggs and loaded our small freezer with hamburger, pork, and chicken. I bought 4x the meat I normally buy, but, it is not going to be enough. So, I took my credit card and bought a turkey and ham (why not, it's Thanksgiving this week). We'll make it through the month adding that in. We have to eat this way. After chemo and a bone marrow transplant this is the only way my son can eat and with my diabetes and AS I've got to get it back on track. I just don't know how to do it on our budget. We eat two meals a day and we eat a lot of eggs. I've been prepping for the past 3 years for when food is hard to find or so expensive we can't afford.....everything we can't eat....beans, rice, flour, noodles.....I figured it would help us live, but, now I'm thinking it will kill us if we ever have to eat all the food I've been working so hard to store.

Maybe try to trade those foods to friends and family for meat or eggs? Congrats on finding your way to carnivore.

I suddenly got an itchy rash on my arms two days ago, luckily it seems it’s disappearing about as quickly as it came. It began after a 20 hour fast when I usually do 16:8. I was thinking about not continuing on carnivore ish but I’m glad I did. I feel better this way

Thank you for this video! The best part for me personally ix when you speak about tuning in to yourself and your body. That is my topic at this moment, and to hear you say all the importa t things about liste to your own body aswell as your own story, means so much to me. Needed to near that ❤ I am 10 months carnivore and healing from a lot, so this is a good moment to realjse that a healing body does what it needs to do and all I need to do is stzy on trach, watchand learn and trust the procces! Give my body time and space and confedence that this is the food it gets and needs and my new lifestyle around it is safe and okay. 😊

I wanted to start this diet to have overall better health, reduce chronic inflammation and to lose weight. I started the carnivore diet last year and had to stop after five weeks but I lost a lot of weight then. I restarted it again about 3 1/2 weeks ago and much to my shock I have gained 6 pounds. I’m disappointed but not devastated. I’m shocked and yet not surprised because I could tell I was not losing. This diet is quite complex and not as straightforward as we would like it to be. I do know that I am doing the best thing for my health and my body though. Hopefully I will begin to see the scale move down because I am at a very high weight but for now the reduction in chronic pain is enough for me to know that it is working.

I've been carnivore for 7.5 months. Not once have I experienced "flavor fatigue'. I do eat a rib eye 5-6 days a week. I can't wait. As good as the first one. I do eat other cuts of beef as well. However, my favorite is the rib eye. Lots of eggs (home grown) butter, bacon and cheese! Carnivore for life!!

I’m fortunate that no hair loss ever happened for me. My hair is so incredibly healthy. Better than ever before. Carnivore has saved my life in so many ways. I hope anyone that wants to heal their bodies to try it. Just try. You won’t be disappointed ♥️

Thanks Bella for sharing, I'm not a 100% carnivore, as there's days I just want fruit or veggies... I'm usually an omnivore, but slowly moving more to just meat... I definitely want blood after my cycle so it'll be a week of med rare steaks and bone broth.... If anyone is looking for a quick way to just get some protein and fat in but too busy to cook, boiled eggs is the way to go... you can cook from 5-8 eggs depending on your weight, drop them in boiling water for 5 mins (runny) 6 mins (soft) 7+ (Hard). This is so easy to do while you're getting ready in the morning when most people are rushing out the door. I don't even peel them, with a spoon I just scoop the top off and eat each one from the shell. So quick and easy and that's breakfast done. I'm full and it keeps me going for 5 hours before my next meal. And you can do this for any meal of the day... eggs are amazing for fat and protein. I do recommend organic pasture raised though... or your local farmer's market for fresh eggs. I use to make boiled eggs as snacks for work too, easy, hassle free and I can eat it cold.

Dr. Ken Berry tells all new carnivores, and those of us who've been on it for a while, that it's all right to eat whatever meat one can afford because any change toward eating this way is far better than dumping sugars and grains into one's body. While I do eat the very best 100% beef hot dogs, and I eat chicken, beef, lamb, and some fish, if I can't afford such things by the end of the month (one payday per month), I eat eggs, usually with ground beef (my personal favorite way to have beef is ground and browned) as the base for them. I also quickly found that staying OMAD (from when I was on keto) was the easiest thing for me to do because I'm just not hungry after having a normal size meal of meat or fish---I'm talking what any woman of 70 who is slender might eat in one dinner---and I'm not going to force myself to eat more. I do take ACV in water once a day, but probably will increase that to twice a day.

I lost half my hair after i started Carnivore had gone vegan before. Now my intestines have kicked back in, my hair is growing back in and im losing weight, and inches. I find i have to increase my protein intake with powdered protein them my muscles are much stronger. Have been enjoying the carnivore diet and make nourishing meals. I bake alot of beef brisket and it is truly delish especially when you cut in slices and bake it for another half hr in its own juices and beef broth or bone broth. As for your hair, make oil from bone marrow and apply to your scalp every week or 2or 3 times a week, you will be amazed at how fast your hair starts growing in. I use rice water as well .

I lost a ton of hair after a severe go round with covid, like maybe a third. It was for sure telogen effluvium, all three of us who got covid "together" lost a bunch of hair at the same time. Two and a half months after bam! It just started to come out by the handful. Had I gone on carnivore (or any other diet really) at that time I would have just assumed it was the diet.
