Very good. Strange too. I just got used to allowing my clients 3 phases. Each of the steps end with some value, more value and all value. And I let my clients a choice to move on to the next step. The phases are exactly proposal no 3. I think I get how this is a much better sale. The phases worked, but it leaves too much space for over thinking at the clients side. In your setup they buy something and know what it is without having to think things over along the way. If they want to do that, they can go for option 1. Or 2 for that matter.

Instead of coming across as take it or leave it, how about providing only one option but preface it by saying: THIS IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE. IF YOU WANT TO ADD OR REMOVE ANYTHING, LET ME KNOW AND WE'LL WORK ON IT COLLABORATIVELY. Would this work?
