3 Rappers That Played Hip Hop The Right Way! Stunted Growth Music

The music business is one of the biggest industries in the world. Revenue in music has risen substantially over the years, reaching an all time high in the U.S alone of nearly 16 million in sales according to the RIAA. Due to factors like streaming, social media and digital works that can now be sold, without the overhead of having physical CDs or tapes to offload, music has never been easier for talented artist to get a start and flourish in whatever lane they so choose. In the last 10+ years rappers have relied on using trends that became popular on social media, and the boom of the influencer industry to promote their music and join the wave all the way into financial success. Up until now I haven’t even mentioned the word talent. That’s because in that same span, talent believe it or not hasn’t been the biggest determining factor in if an artist can blow up or not, as long as they find an interesting way to attract eyes ears and followers, as they ride the trend all the way to shore. Back when hip hop first started it was all about talent. You didn’t have crutches like social media, RU-vid covering artist in interview format daily, or streaming farms in some remote location running up the numbers to make an artist with a wealthy investor seem bigger than his talent actually is. You had to rap back then and you had to do it well. That means cadence, your bread and butter flow, which was important to switch up and come with new ones from time to time, stories, similes metaphors, braggadocios, entendres, charisma, and you had to be believable. Today I want to look at 3 rappers I think played the game the right way, against all those odds mentioned earlier, became stars in their time, each holding the crown at some point in their careers as the best rapper in the game. Sure they had flaws, as nothing is perfect, but as far as being a rapper, especially from an older time period like the 90s or early 2000s, these rappers got the most out of their 20+ years in the game and are still talked about today, most importantly, still alive and well, flourishing in other ventures now that they understand the genre that they love is a young man’s game and every artist has to find and be ready for that point they have to get off the ship. 3 Rappers That Played Hip Hop The Right Way! Much respect to how these rappers transitioned from being superstars in their prime, each holding the crown at some point, to life beyond rap successfully. Jay 50 and Nas did it the right way for older rappers. The pinnacle of what young rappers should aspire.

New school rapper playing the game today: Drake, Cole, Kendrick, Durk, Travis Scott

Travis may not ever really recover from that concert. And his more recent transgressions. But I do think Drake and Kendrick will be up there

Durk may not make it either if he can’t get past his weird behavior with his ex fiance

What's been mentioned is accurate but also the reason why Ice Cube & Mack 10 started having problems its between Cube's wife took over as the groups manager....that started a riff between the two. Also because "Cube" had dissed "Cypress Hill". "Mack" was cool with "B-Real"....."B-Real" was a "Blood" like "Mack 10". So naturally, ithe beef rip the group apart. "Dub-C" didn't want no part of the beef between them too.....plus he was cool with "Cypress Hill". The beef was over the song "" & who truly had ownership over that song....."Cube" claim he didn't steal "Throw Your Hands In The Air" which "Cypress" had first. But after the "Friday" movie..."Cube's" version sound so similar but I don't it was too much the same. So in a nutshell, it was really over a song. 🌛⭐🌞🌛🌛🌞🌛⭐😅

It can be argued that 50 cent's Power of a Dollar unreleased debut (later released in 2002) is a classic also. Hip hop heads know this!

Paid in full goat hip hop and most influential hip hop album ever , Rhakim,Nass,,GRap ,Ice cube, Big Pun ,krs1,Scareface Ludacris, Az, Gza ,Lauryn hill,Bustah Rhymes ,Jadakiss, Black thought ,Rahdiggah, Dmc , Beinie Siegel , Eminem,Andre3000,Banks , kurupt a few select others ,are hip hops most natural gifted lyrical MC's ever . Pac himself admitted there were others who are more lyrically better then him ,Pacs great strength was his superior multifaceted subject matter ,energy" nobody outworked him " ,stage presence ,creativity .He wasnt by any means subpar lyrically, but that wasn't his superpower ,it wasn't by no means a weakness ,just not a weapon he could utilize as his most pronounced asset like some I've mentioned could who aren't superior MC's then Pac .
