They sell 2 different Kirkland brand chocolate chips and 1 of them is definitely vegan, taste better than the ones in the video, and are so much more cost effective! You won’t regret it. 😊
Loved the frosting of Silken tofu w/chocolate chips, although I reduced to 6 oz chocolate chips and it was plenty sweet enough and thickened beautifully to frost a cake. Nestle Toll House "Semi-Sweet Allergen-Free" chocolate chips and Trader Joe's "Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips" are also vegan. Also used "Betty Crocker Super Moist Lemon Cake Mix" with 1 cup rinsed garbanzo beans & 1 cup water and the cake turned out phenomenal! I was frosting it when hubby and son descended upon the cake and ATE HALF OF IT before I could even chill it. 🤣Thank you for the inspirations!🤗
Genius hacks!! I just found your account and I'm loving all of your videos. I've been vegan for 8 years and still learning so much! Thank you from a mama needing inspiration!
Brilliant baking hacks! I love this! I have never thought of using chickpeas/black beans in a baking mix. That is so convenient and adds so much nutrition. Thank you!
The beans are blowing my mind. When I first saw a can of chickpeas I thought you were going to use aquafaba 😅 using actual beans is so much easier and practical
I always make muffins with absolutely no oil as well. I use silicon molds and never spray. They pop out clean as ever. I always remove them by popping from the bottom side and usually let them cool a bit before doing so.
Wow! This morning I tried this for the first time with Betty Crocker Blueberry Muffin mix…amazing!!! They were perfect. No one would ever know. Thank you so much, Alisia!!!
Since this works with boxes, how would you replace eggs and oil with chickpeas in other non-box recipes? I don’t always like the sweetness and texture of using applesauce. Is there some formula that could be applied, like how much chickpeas equal an egg? Or how much chickpeas equal a 1/4 cup oil?
I bet a lot of people have these ingredients in their home already 🤘🏼 I only needed to buy the actual cake mixes. I can’t wait to try this!! Thank you for these great recipes 🫶
@@plantwhyswe have made the donut recipe 3 times already, lol. We did your chocolate recipe with glaze and sprinkles (2 times). Then, I made a yellow cake mix but added (cinnamon , nutmeg, cloves). THEN..I made maple frosting (with melted v. butter , powdered sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon). My variation was NOT healthy…😂 I went off the rails! You are a genius, I am definitely making donuts this way from now on 🙌 P.S. They freeze great 👍
Hello Ali , I am new to your channel and have been enjoying and learning from you! I like the grey square strainer you’re using to strain your beans, would you mind telling me the source were purchased it? Thank you very much
@@plantwhys thanks for your reply Ali however I was talking about the small rectangular grey strainer that you use to empty the beans into the pans. Not the over the sink strainer. Thank you for your time.Ingrid
@@pilatesbyalisia7015That makes sense. Thanks. Maybe low sodium chickpeas in a can would be better, but eliminating as much sodium as possible would be best - so I am going to drain and rinse unless I have cooked them from dry as I often do. I will try that aquafaba someday as I don’t add any salt then.
Thanks for the hacks! Wasn’t that lime juice and not lemon that you added to the avocado frosting? It looked green, not yellow. 😊 Nestle Tollhouse had plant based chocolate chips now but I still prefer Enjoy Life!
