Hi Joe, I have been following you for quite some time now, and watching your videos on the 992 Touring has been very emotional for me. In the next few months, I'll receive a 992 GTS (in production phase at the moment) as a result of many years of hard work. After waiting so long, I can finally fulfill my young boy's dream, and I couldn't agree more with your saying in the previous video about the 992 Touring that hard work does pay off. I hope to meet you one day and invite you to drive in the beautiful mountains of Switzerland. Thank you for the excellent videos and enjoy the ride !
Dear Mr Achille - Another perfect video about one of the best cars ever made. Thank you for that! Only one thing is a little sad - the last emotional video was fine, only some "creature" wrote me as "you" and tried to steal my money (and I admit that they managed to steal some change) because I was supposed to "win" Apple computer... Beware of this human garbage - they can do a lot of damage to your reputation. They appeared on Telegram and disguised themselves very well! Happy New Year 2023 and many safe travels and successful videos!
Awesome. No electric vehicle could ever replace a car like this. I'll never be able to afford one or even drive one but, for me, just knowing they exist makes the world a better place.
The camera shot from 28:49 is just phenomenal, really involves you in the driving, even as a viewer! Big respect to Patrick for his camera/filming skills! 👍
A dream car! Love the understated silver on silver and the manual option of course. I mean you can’t really go wrong with any colour on a Porsche, it just works 😮💨
Filming location in Portugal : Parque Natural da Serra da Estrela - Road : N338/339 you may have presented to the world😊 one of the most spectacular unknown road in Europe! Thanks Joe and greetings from Portugal 🇵🇹
I am going to Portugal soon and I wanna drive through this road too, is it the whole road amazing like this or is there a section that is better than others? I’ll be reaching the national park coming from the north of the country (Bragança). Thanks for your comment, helped me a lot!
@@leonardonickel1217 in my opinion the most scenic part of the road is when you reach the altitude peak ( 2000 meters) and some few km before and after this point is where the road/views are the best. Enjoy.😊
This sort of vlog involves an enormous amount of work. That one shot from the top of the hill down onto the road must have taken a lot of time to set up. Setting the camera up, then driving all the way down to the bottom and coming back up, and hope the camera doesn't crap out on you in the middle of the shot. I can't believe it takes 20 hours to cross the channel to Spain. Happy New Year, Joe and Patrick!
Subscribed! This is the first vid of yours I have seen (I have been to the ‘main’ vid of this trip and back again) and just have to congratulate you on a tremendous piece of work. In terms of conveying how it would feel to own and/or drive the Touring, this is simply the best of anything that’s out there. Dramatic cinematography, every angle of a darting GT3, musical top-end revs are all good (and they were very good) but the freewheeling chat with Patrick was also as engaging as it was enlightening. Bravo - best wishes for 2023, and may your brilliant work keep feeding your channel’s success.
Absolute phenomenal trip, epic shots, backdrops and roads! Loved the encounter with the doggo and bulls at the end 🐶 😁 Also glad Patrick was also given the opportunity to experience them sensational roads in the GT3 Touring. Legendary video Joe, Happy New Year and looking forward to future content in 2023! 🎉
Nice one Joe, you have a lovely relaxed style and calling Harry, 'the Pope of motoring' is priceless, I think that will make him chuckle, and he'll get ribbed about it for sure. Also loved Rob's line..... 'it's like driving on sellotape' Chris Harris would of been proud of that one. Happy New Year.
Delighted for you getting to drive this car, your dream car, for a review. Must feel like a reward for all the work you've done, and very well deserved. Also, this car is beautiful. Definitely my dream car too.
This is why I appreciate what Sam does on his channel when he’s doing it all himself normally to produce such high quality clips. Not that having help isn’t great. The work some utubers put in to produce content like a 9 day trip. Not that Porsche (Reading) giving you such a Car for a few thousand miles through Europe is a hard life, but the time and effort needed to produce what can be only a 20-30 minute clip at times after the edit outstanding. If I won the lottery I’d probably go Porsche as it’s a safe bet and a big enough step up from my MINI Cooper 😂. Sad trips like this costs so much makes my three days trip from Glasgow to London and back cheap think I was £120 fuel.
I dunno what it is about the 911 shape, but no matter how many Ferrari's, Lambo's, McLarens, Koenigsegg's, or whatever I see, it's always 911 for me. I took a similar drive recently in the US in the M2C. Similar vistas across Arizona to California. I'm sure you had an absolute blast. You never forget these.
Long long time Porsche enthusiast and owner here. I'm following your coverage of the car industry for a long time, Joe, and I've never commented. Your development has been amazing, and I have to say that for someone who's more in the BMW camp (at least that's what I thought about you), you've done well here. I see you as the next Harry. All the best from the U.S.
Another great video. Really enjoyed the sound, scenery and of course the commentary. Re individual mode you’re right it doesn’t have one. But on a GT3 you can customise the Sport and Track modes to suit so they are effectively both ‘individual’.
I’m collecting a new 718 GTS tomorrow, i know it’s a million miles from the GT3 T but it’s my little essence of porsche experience and in my view 7/10ths of that wonderful 992
Thanks for the impressions and great video settings. I did Portugal on my motorbike several times. Beautiful, peacefull country, warmhearted people, great food for less money. Sure, GT3 is dreamcar for trip like this, maybe the Carrera T would be my choice. Good luck, happy new year!
I've watched your videos for a while but recently subscribed. I still think your videos are too long but man! This stuff is SO good. 🤩 Proper driving, proper thrills, seeing new parts of the world, experiencing new cars (no matter the age of the car). This is what driving is about. Keep up the good work! 🥳
Great video. Definitely not too long The roads, amazing sunsets, wonderful filming and production probably make this your best video yet. Oh yeah. And the car. A GT Porsche in the true Gran Tourismo sense has to be one of the best real world driver's cars available and this trip proves it 😄😄👍 Having said that, Harry did similar mileage in a similar time in his new Emira and that was more than up to the job also
25:50 omfg that view with that car on such a road, this is pure perfection, you should have made this as main video as well Joe, it is just to good for "behind the scenes" video. Really enjoyed this longer format especially when it is about GT3 Touring
Can’t believe I’ve only just watched this video as I’ve been a subscriber for a while now. This has inspired me to do a similar trip. Those roads are unbelievable. Fantastic video and shots absolutely amazing.
Enjoyed joyed this trip with you big time. What a car and what a great place. Keep up the great work for next year and wishing You and Lou a Happy New Year.
Late to the comments after watching this morning. What an epic adventure in a dream car. Look forward to seeing more content in 2023 especially when the M3 Touring arrives. Happy new year to you and yours Joe!
What a video Joe, you absolutely smashed it. Great effort and great content as always 👏👏 keep up the good work and hope to see more of this in 2023 Happy New Year!!
I really appreciate that you really appreciate your beautiful surroundings with such gusto! The car and the drive are the icing on the delectable cake. Outstanding film and camera work.
The sunset shot where you approach the camera and then see the car from the rear just reminded me of the start of the first cannonball movie and what an intro that was.
Cracking video. Haven’t watched your content before.. Really enjoyed the drive from 20mins up high, pilots view! nice work. That engine is what it’s all about. B
Was initially looking at the turbo S but decided in the end on the Gt3 touring and must admit I couldn’t be happier with the choice & absolutely love the car
Amazing video Joe congrats. I have been following you for a number of years and although you have been a great advocate for BMW I believe Porsche may have found themselves a new brand ambassador.
I have thought of owning a 911 for some time. I keep thinking next year will be the year. But watching this video just makes me want to run and get one. I would really enjoy a GT3 touring, but I honestly think a standard or a s model would be fine for me. (For now). Keep up these excellent videos Joe. Its not often I spend a whole hour watching anything. This was worth every second.
Test drove a 991.2 GTS three times against a 992 C4S, the 992 GTS wasn’t available yet, I bought a new well optioned 992 and have no regrets. I kept coming back to the 992, the refinements in power and handling were just too hard to pass up. I did finally get a chance to drive a 992 GTS many months later and still don’t regret the C4S purchase. Porsche did such a great job with the Carrera models that I don’t think people understand just how good a car they are. Trust me if you are in the market for one of these, drive the Carrera S models a couple of times against the GTS. I think you will find the added $$$ just to say you have a GTS just aren’t worth it, unless that is you intend to sit on it as an investment.
To be honest, I enjoyed this video way more than the short review one. Behind the scenes, travel vlog kind of stuff is really cool. Like the old shmee videos.
