3000 ROUNDS! Century Arms VSKA 

Due to past experiences I was a Century fanboy hater but was given a VSKA as a gift and I must admit I love it! All the past issues I had with failure to fire/broken gear/ dam near explosions from the RAS were gone! I have put probably more rounds through this rifle (7k+) with only problems from 2 specific mags and have LOVED it, Century seems to have finally listened to their customers and hit one out of the park this time. Wish I had more rounds to keep testing! Great video!!!

I feel like the VSKA *Vermont Stamp Kalashnikov* rifle is a great weapon and People who shoot more and buy more quality aks like zastavas and PSAs usually hate on it just because they do not like century arms and I feel like it is a excellent rifle for a new shooter and for someone who won’t customize it or blow through 10k rounds in a year or 2

I picked up a UTG pro low profile ak rail for 60 bucks and it works amazing to mount a scope. It was super easy install also just pop it in place of the front sight and screw the rear latch into the stock and you're good to go.

This is definitely a good end, kudos to your LEOs for returning your 2A property. I know there are a lot of states where getting that stuff back would be a battle if even possible at all.

I have Two Vska's really great rifles

I replaced the bolt with a Polish WBP one because I have a tough time believing that it is machined and not cast. I also really need to get my VSKA broke in more. It's like 600 grit sandpaper finish on the entire rifle. I love my bolt carrier on my Yugom72b1. The action is like glass, polished trigger components/bolt carrier/bolt. VSKA.... like cat's tongue.

I can see you having to explain to the Police (of a liberal state) why you had the Mags and Ammo in the car. Fortunately, you have this channel to show them.

I know there is the sk master mount you could always use to help with the scope rail

2 MOA with irons is pretty decent. Especially with steel case

Again what muzzle brake do you recommend? Mine still has the slant brake.

Have you ever considered a set of Mojo sights?? They work pretty good.

VSKA owners how about aftermarket stock fitment? The specs state the receiver being 1/16 (1.58 mm)thick.....That sounds like RPK stocks or material removal for fitting....any thoughts or experiences?

Why buy vska when you can get gen3 PSA for about the same price.

I bought a VSKA (super attracted by a sale price on cheaperthandirt… $560ish). Put about 100 rounds through it and didn't make it through a single full magazine without a feed failure. I have heard some say that maybe it is to be blamed on the 30rd pmag that it came with. I'm going to maybe try another mag or two and see how she goes. When it did fire more than 15 or so rounds without mishap it was fairly accurate, but those damn feed failures irritated me right quick and I finished out the rest of my range day with my AR. Going to find a couple other mags and give it an honest go before I get justifiably pissed off lol

Is that gun that bad, that video updates is needed?.. I don't know much at all, but I've heard that AK's were one the most reliable rifles... I've heard AK's last for over 50k rounds But everyone is treating this VSKA as if u to be lucky to get 5k rounds.. I mean I just bout one for $600 was that a bad choice?? I guess I'mma learn today...lol.. I want honest opinions. I was told to get the WASR 10 for a couple hundred dollars more, but couldn't find any in stock, so I just bought the VSKA.. I know I shoulda did my homework before I bought it, but I just wanted an AK n for $600 compared to what other sites n stores was charging , I'm thinking this was a deal. But after watching videos n reading comments, it's still hard to decide, cause of the mixed reviews... Dome say it good n some say it's bad..but they said that too about the WASR 10 that I was told was a better choice.. but shit it's too late I done bought the VSKA.. I mean it can't be that bad could it?????

I own a VSKA. Good to know it'll go at least 3,000. I was hoping it would do closer to 50-70 thousand in its life time tho. lol. Can you update when you are closer to that? jk :)

Man that bolt velocity looks very high so does it jar the fire out of you by the way next time use a micrometer to measure as you go for the notes

I think it's Red Army ammo because I've seen so many videos of people using RA ammo and it always jams

I have seen enough videos of the VSKA failing to steer me away from owning one. Not to mention Century's fairly spotty rep with their AK's like the C39 and RAS-47. I'm starting to see more and more examples that are working better and better though. Perhaps Century is TRULY trying to fix the problems on this gun. Though from what I can tell... long term reliability isnt there. A few thousand rounds for a "fighting rifle" isnt much and when they break down or show serious signs of wear in about 5,000 rounds or less it can be problem. However, I am also aware most people buy guns like this and arent likely to put that many rounds through them. Still, that being said regardless of what the average person may not do, it doesnt detract from the facts they tend to not be built to last and I would prefer to invest in a rifle that has a bit more of a proven track record at least for the time being anyways. But, this will have me keep my eyes open on the VSKA and see how they are holding up and the likes. I've been watching the PSA's the same way.

Watching multitudes of these fail should be enough to discourage anyone from buying one of these hunks of junk. Just buy a WASR
