I'm from Slovenia and I listen to Trashfuture and recently they mentioned the statistic that the bottom 10%of income earners have a better standard of living in Slovenia than in great Britain

10:32 I come from the north west of England in which the house prices round me are half that of the average and £775 per month would be relatively cheap here let alone london where prices are double of the average, not half. This is also an empty property, so add in all the furnishing cost as well. His costings for how much it cost to get to work a month also do not match up to reality.

I was born in Sutton in Ashfield and lived there over thirty years, my parents remaining until they died. Ashfield is an area decimated by pit closures, I can think of four pits within a few miles of my parents house, all closed by Thatcher. As a child I new the rough areas, including Carsic, but the town center was nice, lots of independant shops etc. After the pits were forcefully shut the place was left to rot, like many an old mining community.

I work for Nottinghamshire County Council and have to encounter him on occasion. My contract says I can't state my opinions on MPs and councillors and this sort of man is why my contract has that clause 😂😂😂😂

As a constituent of Ashfield I would love to be able to assure the world that he will be voted out next election. However, given we recently elected local councillors who had all been arrested for fraud, with longstanding allegations of corruption, I wouldn't hold your breath.

On a side note the estate Lee was on is called the Carsic Estate and is in Sutton in Ashfield . At the recent council elections it was the only ward on Ashfield District Council that returned a Labour Councillor . The constituency covers most of the district and part of Broxtowe Borough and at the recent council elections apart from the Labour gain in Ashfield Labour also have 5 councillors in Eastwood in the Broxtowe Borough part of the constituency .Every other councillor bar one are independents , including all the Nottinghamshire County Councillors in the area . The Conservatives have just one councillor in the constituency representing the Underwood Ward . At the next election expect the publicity hungry independent council leader to also stand . It will be interesting .

I find myself wanting to ask the question; what is it that Lee Anderson actually wants? I mean, what does Anderson most truly and sincerely want in this universe? Of course, I'd be wasting my time asking him. "You're not poor, you're just thick!" Did he really say that? Hmm... Maybe if he can persuade people to vote for him, then perhaps some of his contituents are.

I know it's still too low, but seeing the uk's minimum wage seems like a dream compared to how low it is here in the us. $7.25 an hour is minimum wage here in North Carolina and you can't really even survive at that wage anywhere in the state.
