I have the stock 1LE wheels on my ‘21 SS 1LE and i have the same tries but in the stock sizes, (285/30/20 and 305/30/20) and my rears are flush with my fenders on both sides.
I want to go 305 fronts on a 18 and a 345 on a 18 inch wheel. When I get my air lift kit removed and get rid of my hre’s. and coil overs put on maybe some velgen forged wheels
Those the Oem 1le Wheel sizes and withs ? Looking to up grade from 5th gen to either 6thgen camaro or Corvette c7 just hard to choose, that top coming off just too damn sexy sunroof not bad tho hard to decide...... used to camaro anyways over a year plus only drove a c6 very brief but was a 07 so I’m sure not best example of the car. Please someone inform me of opinion
5500 LOL well that's a pretty good low number especially compared to where I am at. Yes I really enjoy my car man. Looking forward to creating the total package when it's all said and done. Thanks for watching the video. Stay tuned...
Thanks for watching. No I had no rubbing at all and I ran the wheels everyday without any issues. I wil say that they aren't the best for taking corners hard due to the width of the tires.
How’s it ride now that you’ve driven for a while... I wanted to go 315/35 with my 1le. Should work with my BMR springs. But if the 335 work, crap thats same size as Corvette Z06 and Grand Sport.
Go ahead and run the 335s you won't regret it. The ride is great. They look awesome on the car. LOL just wait till you see the next set that's going on the CLEANEST DAILY DRIVEN SS 1LE!!
I have the exact same car! I'm looking at the Eibach kit as well as some wider rubber. I have one question though. I had seen a video of someone running 315 R comps in the rear needing a 5mm spacer to clear a wire harness on one side. However, this was on a 2ss 2016 so I was wondering if you had any input on that. Glad you like the red it's a fantastic color, props on the car.
Modifications at the time of this video no. Modifications are coming beginning of the new year though. Stay tuned and be on the lookout for what's new.
@@MrLeeCamaro alright no doubt man here's my car on the dyno so far with some bolt on's 501hp 498 tq ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-G-IppuURYTk.html
To be honest I may have lost a little not worth mentioning because I gained from having more tire planted on the ground to grip and propel the 1LE forward.
Do you know what about the 1ss that causes problems with wider tires? I was told body rearend etc is exactly the same only sway bars and control arms are different.
doug george I believe the problem is in the actual wheels. The offset of the wheels doesn't allow you the clearance needed to run the larger wider tires. You can use spacers and get away with a 315 series. Spaces prevent the tires from rubbing in the inside of the fender weld. You may want to look into going with a different offset of wheels.
Honestly you know the wider the wheel the more kick back you'll have from the tire picking up and slinging things from the road. That's why I installed the guards and fender extensions on the rear
Yeah I'd agree they do fill in the wheel well better yet Continental doesn't offer this tire in that size so I went with what they had. There's a bunch of people running those pss on their cars. I like the extreme contacts. I may give the pss a try later on. I do have the 305s for the rear as well if I want to fill the gap in more. Thanks for watching and stay tuned...
Heard there is a problem with rubbing of the fender liner on the driver side rear wheel. Have you experienced this. It worries me because gm put wiring for fuel pump on front side (closest to driver) in the wheel well.?
@@MrLeeCamaro it’s specifically on 1le from what I’ve seen, after people go with a bigger tire (315/35/20). Solutions I’ve seen is wiring relocation using zip ties or using 4mm wheel spacers. I just got a 1le last week and was looking for a slightly bigger tire on back.
@@jaydailydetailer you shouldn't have any issues. I know several without the 1LE had rubbing issues but not people with the 1LE. I never had issues with the 335s. I'm running a wide tire set up now on the rear and haven't had issues (not when it was driven).
Hi Mr Lee... Ive been checking this video few months ago. I just wanna follow up if you still have the same set up right now and if you dont have problems of rubbing the tires both sides in inner wall..? Thanks
Thanks for following up with me. Absolutely no issues and I can't really see any wear on the tires at all. Still driven everyday and no issues. Very thankful in my purchase and truly a blessing to have them.
Hello and thanks for stopping by my channel. If you're wanting to run the 335s you'll have to use a spacer. My rear is automatically set up to run the larger size tires. You should be able to run 335s on yours with a 5mm spacer.
@@ampholnanudon6442 you're welcome. I'll be posting videos soon. It's been a quiet year for me and haven't really been active. Either way I'd you have a question about anything send me a message I'll do my best to answer it. Have a great day!
Not sure what you're referring to with the SS alignment. I had my lowered at the dealership and the technician recalibrated everything to the factory specs regarding the numbers.
Mr LEE, I love the car, have the same in black, but yes that red is super clean. I don’t understand how you fit the 335, especially on drivers side. I have same eibach and there is so little room drivers rear where the wiring harness is, are you telling me you have no rubbing specifically drivers side rear ?? Thx for sharing! About to purchase new rubber.... also be sad to wrap that red , just my thoughts, I say do the headers and a tune with the cash
J Booj not gonna wrap it just yet. She's about to get the ceramic coating treatment all around shop that should keep her extra wet. Yes i do not have any rub at all on the rear drivers side or rear passenger side. I'm loving the set up and it looks great from behind. If yours is the 1LE you shouldn't have an issue. If it is not a 1LE then yes you may have an issue with rubbing.
Mr. Lee it is a 17 1LE, wow that’s unreal appreciate the good videos and info... glad I caught this, Have you felt for any inner wheel well damage on drivers rear? know what Im talking about, where the harness is located, inner lower corner.... if you take off that drivers rear for anything let us know if its completely in the clear broski, thx for the vid and quick reply!
I've checked. I'm always cleaning and checking the camaro for potential upgrades. I'll post a video in a few weeks on another 335 update. Thanks again for watching. Stay tuned
You have the meats!! I thought about running those as well but Continental didn't have that size. How does the GT ride with them(how does the car feel)?
Ride is supreme, I've had them on for about 2.5 weeks so the wear is unnoticeable, driving in the rain in this set up tires are a breeze. They feel great and aren't loud at all. I'm satisfied with purchasing the Continentals!!!!
Mr. Lee I wanna try to fit these on my 2SS, and you said that you don’t believe they will fit. Is there a certain reason you say that or has anyone tried? I just don’t know the difference in the wheel wells.
Its bot the wheel wells that places the concern, its the offset on the actual wheels that you have on your 2SS. Find out what the offset is on your wheels. The V8 1LE camaros have a different wheel and also run wider wheels than the 1SS/2SS camaros.
Your car is sick. I know this because I have the exact one in the 2018 year model. I also see you recorded this in the Little Elm stadium parking lot which isn’t but a couple of miles from my house. I like the path you are going with the car. I wasn’t going to lower my car this but after seeing yours, my mind has changed. I would like to see your car in person if you are in the Little elm area.
Eric Clement is that right???? Well man we should hook up and cruise. I have only met a pair of 2SS camaros and one 1SS in Frisco. Thanks for watching the video man. Subscribe and stay tuned.
Mr. Lee we can definitely do that. I bought it a little over a month ago. Traded in my boss 302 and drove it off the showroom floor. I went to buy the blue one but it was sold and the one I have was inside. I didn’t like the color at first but my wife did and the salesman said it would look better outside because inside didn’t do the color justice. Boy was he right. As soon as it hit the sunlight, I was like I have to have that car. I was looking on RU-vid this week and came across this video and said that’s my car and in Little Elm too. I put Borla ATAK axle backs on last week and she sounds mean.
Eric Clement too funny... my wife just said does he know you were going to purchase the blue one too and then changed your mind LOL. In my opinion we have the best color, yet I like all the 6th gen colors. Borla sounds good on our cars. I believe the manual transmissions sound deeper than the automatics. I will be getting an exhaust system in the near future. I'm glad you came across the channel.
Hey Nate. I believe that's possible. Im pretty sure you're going to gabe to go with a spacer though. Also check all clearances in the rear wheel wells. Are you wanting to mount them on your stock wheels?
That is a mismatch, your fronts are .4" taller than the rears. That would look off, IMO. Should go with either a 285/30 in front to make it close to same diameters or go 335/30 out back for slightly more sidewall than front.
Thanks man. I'm running a completely different set up since this video. The car is a little different, pushing much more power and a thrill to drive. Catch up on some of my other videos. Have a great weekend.
Mr. Lee I’m just tryna do all the research I can before I purchase because the 1le is exactly how I want it it’s almost a dealbreaker if I have to do a 1ss or 2ss
The 2SS1LE is the better of the two in my opinion. You get more features. I love my 1LE and I'm adding the components to make it more unique to my liking. I believe you'll be happy with the choice if you choose to go with the 1LE.
Honestly I don't see why you couldn't, yet two things to factor into that; Factor 1) offset of the 17" wheel. Factor 2) making sure it clears your brakes
Do the research first to see if they do. The 6th Gen 1LE comes standard with magnetic ride. Nice 4th gen there. Stay tuned, like, share, and subscribe.
Wayyyyyy. Yeah I know LOL. I'm glad I could bring the 335 to the big screen. I have a few tricks up my sleeve man. Going to go for the headers next.....slowly breaking the warranty hahaha. Stay tuned man.
Luis Cansino thanks I'm doing my best to keep her the CLEANEST Daily Driven SS 1LE. Lots of work but hey i enjoy my camaro. I hope you'll stay tuned to the channel and subscribe. I am working on some future videos for the channel
@MrLeeCamaro I did a trade for a mini bike all 4 r wide so the back fit perfect but my front ones r hitting the coil overs I'm hoping a spacer would fix issue 😅
LOL I'll laugh with you Darth Vader but there isn't a single curb rash on those wheels. They were redone end of summer 2019. Thanks for checking out the video. I hope that I've gained a new subscriber.
@@MrLeeCamaro I have a 06 300 SRT8 & a 13 Shelby Gt500. I ain't neva hit, scrubbed or ran up on no curb. But I'd be distracted too if I was haunted by a vampire. Cheers
@@johnb9724 I'll strive to be a better driver just for you and others. Regardless man thanks for watching and subscribe for new videos to the channel. My next set of wheels won't be curbed at all.
Mr. Lee its a zl1. As to signature wheels says, “running 345/30 on 19inch wheels will flush and Utilize all the space” but when i asked for a picture if anyone did it before he told me its fine so fine it is. Just wanted to double check
Dain Train I promise you that really wasn't my fault. I know the wheels have curb rash. Makes me sick to my stomach. Thanks for watching the video Dain.
Dain Train good or bad I'm not going to hide anything lol. I'll just deal with the comments about having curb rash until I purchase a new set of wheels. The car is driven every day so it does have flaws. Regardless she's bad to the bone. Take care of your ZL1. Check out my Instagram I make custom tumblers. I think you should purchase a few of them.
If you haven't touched a curb in your life you've haven't been driving your car..... It hurts soooo bad, but it's part of this life we life in these cars. But I feel you.... Touching that curb be hrtin your heart.... Lol
