This is not a self promo by any means, I love gameranx videos but he missed like 15 games, and I just made video so check it out if you want. thanks...
They’re not even that good anyway. I realize that’s probably a hot take and I’ll take flak for it lol but it’s just my opinion. That type of combat is just roll roll roll swing roll roll roll
Everybody have opninion no hate anyone also someone hate it bcs its too hard (bot saying this case) but for example elden ring(all souls are really great) nothing and i mean nothing compares to your first playthrought when you explore and dont know what to expect its i mean i really love it iam sad i cant forget this games(also borderlands) and play it over and over again for example my ex girlfriend never saw harry potter it was one of the best experience to see someone who is discovering this world and dont know what will happend this feeling is briliant 😁
When I played KCD for the first time I progressed for like 2-3 hours without saving and ended up dying trying to force my way through some thick bushes on a hill😂 The other thing is I punched a horse by accident and landed myself in jail for like a week lol! That game is friggen awesome once you learn the mechanics and figure out what you’re doing

OH MY GOD I LOVE THE THING! I still remember repeatedly reading the Game Informer article about that game like 2 or 3 years before the game ever came out and was so unbelievably hyped. I remember waiting hours for my step-dad to get home with that game on release day. He arrived with the game and the brand new popcorn chicken from KFC. What a great night that was.
Man, I remember playing the Thing Sequel game back in High School and renting it from Blockbuster. Great to see another generation get to play this stellar game!
I can Astro Bot being a Mario competitor in the 3D space, I don’t think it would ever be as big or well known but I think Astro could compete in that space.
@@Welltron-3030 we all played it back in the days in the old monitors of time, if they do the remake right and capture the essence of it its going to be a real good game
The LEGO Horizon game doesn't seem too weird to me. They released the Tallneck and Watcher set with an Aloy minifig, and the community made a bunch of really detailed MOCs. Hopefully, there will be some new sets that come out to accompany the game.
Yeah. I love how Lego has done business of late. Staying relevant with smart investments in the video game sector while upping the hype and attention on their physical sets. One of the few game/toys that survive and thrive generation to generation.
Blumhouse making a game studio huh with multiple games announced... probably want to see which attached to the horror gamers fan base. Alright we'll see how it's turned out.
i beta tested quidditch champions, it was actually really really fun. you can play it casually. but there is alot of mechanics you can use to go insane with
I think Age of Mythology was the first PC game I ever played. Used to love coming back from elementary school and playing for hours. Such good memories; gotta play it again.
Science fiction trivia tidbit. The Thing & the original novel book form of The Predator had way more in common. Both were transformative, shapeshifter, Proteus or versipellis species that learn new shapes through the dna of their victims
Clair Obscur reminds me of an older JRPG called "THE LAST REMNANT" the style of fights and enemies overall looks reminds me of it. I'm def going to try that thing. Also Nikoderiko looks a lot like a mix between Krash Bandicot and Ratchet and Clank.
After watching the summer games fest, It sparked my memory of the days when Gaming Magazines and Demo disc's flourished. Those were some of the best days in the gaming industry. One thing I loved was how open game studios were about their development process. We'd get behind the scenes information, images, teasers about projects. Where nowadays almost all game studios are so Silent and secretive that it's painful. Especially since game development is taking much longer since it's basically become a trend for every game to have absurdly bloated development costs.. We don't see the array of different game projects that include smaller games, wacky games, 3D platformers, extreme sports games, AA games, etc. Etc. All stuff that used to be common place in the gaming industry. All of this I miss so much from this era where demo disc's and gaming mag's ruled the world. I find it so weird that we are in the Future. With tech we've only dreamed about compared to the tech that was available during my childhood in the 90's. Yet the games that were made during the previous game generations are the ones that are proving to be made with BETTER overall QUALITY. Games seemed like they used to have a much better understanding of what players Liked and what was genuinely fun to play. Even tho they couldn't make games that had online abilities, They somehow found a way to make games that had much more replay ability to them. We used to be able to play a game, or even a DEMO over and over because they found ways to do what mattered well enough with the tech that they had at the time to make their games enjoyable enough to keep jumping back into. I miss lots of aspects from previous game generations. Growing up in the 90's. It really felt the future of gaming was going to be awesome. It wasn't just about graphics. It was physics effects, art styles, a range of gameplay modes, gameplay mechanics, damage effects, environmental interaction, engaging AI to play against in single player mode, CPU bots in offline modes. Current games seem to focus so much on realism & graphical nitpicking to the point where it can sorta ruin the game. Did they forget how much players enjoy physics effects & other aspects that add depth to a games fun factor? Weird, low poly, 2.5D 2D graphics can work, if they use a creative art style. What happened to additional gameplay modes, the list goes on.. I really don't know why this had to happened like this?
4:48 I don't remember "Astro's Playroom" on the PSVR Falcon because it wasn't. It's the pack in game for the PS5. The one you're thinking of is Astro Bot Rescue Mission.
20:38 Falcon predicts that the plot of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is essentially Final Fantasy X lol. Clearly had FFX on his mind for this video with that prediction and the Farplane reference, and apparently some devs are interested in portraying some of the same tropes.
4:03 Incorrect. We did know about Age of Mythology: Retold prior to this recent trailer. It was first revealed publicly in October 2022. This has been coming for quite a while.
On average 29 new games are released to Steam every single day. This is list barely scratches the surface and then is quickly buried by the next sunrise.
Not sure how ('cause I was sure I had watched all of those announcements) but I had missed Lorn Vale, Phantom Line, Sumerian Six and Polyaris, which are all games that have caught my attention in your list. Thank you, Falcon, for this tremendous work. As always.
@@kademarlowe1419 to some of us who don't live on RU-vid, it's because we normally see things with an hour ranges of time, not minutes or seconds. I've never seen that before
@VerdePenguin buddy, you were here before anyone else yet you have the audacity to accuse someone of living on RU-vid. Your insult is just as pathetic as your sense of humor.
oh dear. There is not a single game in this video that I'm looking forward too. I wish the games industry would just hurry up and crash so we can get back to fun games. Usually on Gameranx video's like this I add 3 or 4 titles to my various wishlists but not a single game was added from this video, nothing to do with Gameranx just nothing there to peak my interest.
@@pruett89 I really love Immersive single player games like Uncharted,Early COD/Battlefield campaigns, anything where the SP campaign is very well done. I think its because I'm 50 and was very much active in gaming in the 90's and 2000's - which was the best time to be a gamer that we have ever seen. I just want to play a good fun game filled with beautiful people and detailed design. When gaming I don't care what is going on in the world outside, gaming is my escapism. I need my fantasy world of great video games.
@@proffessorX I hear that!! Totally agree that immersion is key and makes the whole thing more enjoyable. How about Avowed? It’s an upcoming Fantastic RPG from Obsidian, look to be up the ally of what you described. They certainly have the chops to make an amazing world that sucks you in.
There was a full Astro Bot game released for VR called Astro Bot Rescue Mission, and it's one of my favorite VR games of all time. It's a platformer exactly like the upcoming game, but in VR, which was really cool.
State of Decay 3? The Thing Remastered? Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP?! Life is Strange: Double Exposure?! As well as the physical release of Alan Wake 2?! + John Carpenters Toxic Commando & talk of a Crazy Taxi reboot!!!! Man there’s too much to mention here in 1 comment but holy hell is this a good year for gaming
I would like to see a battle sim type game that combines the elements of Dynasty Warriors and Kessen. You command squads/platoons/companies/battalions of troops in battle; directing them to locations and points of interest on the battlefield. You can also take command of member of the unit(possibly the unit commander or some leader of sorts) and fight to help out that unit and once that fight is under control you can transition to the overview and go down to another unit to assist them - all while keeping an eye the overall battle. This type of game can be adapted to any era….from medieval battles, the Roman Empire, ancient Middle East, Japanese and Chinese empires, to modern battles like WWI and WW2, The American Civil/revolutionary war, to games like lord of the rings and etc. Battles can be based off of history or completely made up scenarios. I think there’s a huge potential for that type of game.
