Dennis and Dee Go On Welfare because it's brilliant, and it's still an early episode. EDIT: I think an early episode is important as it means there are less callback jokes and jokes that rely on you already having pre-existing knowledge of the characters. Also I've had it before where I've introduced shows to friends and I've started off with an episode that was HD widescreen, and then they've decided to not go back and watch early 4:3 SD episodes because "it's too old". Introducing them to that format from the get go I think negates that attitude.

The fact that Charlie and Rob are looking at the Dennis dummy, and the camera cuts to it, every time Glenn is speaking, is hilarious! IMO this is one of the funniest things they've ever done! I love that someone has taken the time to dress the doll. I just noticed that doll Dennis is not wearing the same shirt as in the episode it appears and realised that someone must have made the effort to change him, with the same mentality of treating it like it's real, and a change of clothes is what it needs. Maybe it does actually sit around Rob's dinner table for mealtimes and gets put to bed and stuff.

It's funny that you talked about people's first episodes, because this was my first episode. I was in high school on vacation with my family in the Poconos, FX was on the the TV in my room and this episode came on. I remember being so confused, I couldn't even find the name of the show because I didn't believe a show would be named "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia"

I kind of love the part where they talk about Teen Wolf. It is so truthful about friendships that you keep talking about the same things and you know you’re doing it but it doesn’t stop you. The fact that they didn’t have a gimp mask on Glenn shows the restraint that only a long friendship could provide. I love these guys!

I always tell someone to start at season 4. Season 7 or 8 also work, but season 4 best encompasses what the show/character dynamics are about. I don't know if it's intentional or just the way this episode panned out but Glenn's almost detached interjections and quips make this one of my fave episodes so far. Probably because every single one of them lands perfectly. Sometimes when all three of them are together, they're so amped up it gets a bit frenetic but this one here? Jeff's kiss! (Shout out to Kevin Smith).

Love that jump at the end. And I thought the cat with its mouth open was weird and I always check to see if it's a real cat, because the only time I've seen a cat do that was in Austin Powers when Mr. Bigglesworth gets frozen. I guess cats only pant when they're very cold or very hot.

Omg I love you guys so much!! Im currently watching 2020 year in review and it’s soooo funny like franks whole barber shop plot is actually brilliant it reminded me of like a movie in the 70s romanizing the growth of a business hahah you guys are not only funny but like you are actually really talented at producing and creating entire storylines and vibes within 30 min segments.
