@@leopeter9051 This man emits an aura that is non achievable by any human soul. You can fell his emotions simply by hearing his voice. He can manipulate you into doing something by only telling you once. The real reason why he can pick locks is he can create a map of the internals in his head by simply using the vibrations that come off of it. It is said that he has been alive for the last 4000 years. He is believed to be the creation of an ancient wizard. He was in a deep slumber for over 2000 years in which he resided in an alternate dimension in which he battled and defeated every great warrior to come before him. This made him extremely powerful.
Actually...I just saw this [885] Forced Open in 2 Seconds: Viro 166 Motorcycle Brake Lock ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gvQsyY5lTLM.html
@@lockpickinglawyer When you say "wet noodle", do you mean al dente, molto al dente, or are we simply splashing some water on dry linguine? "Didn't have time", he says... Who doesn't have time for pasta?! I'm a nerd, and minutiae is important to me!!
Hollywood propmasters would love these: no need for trick locks or an expert to substitute his hands for a closeup shot; your untrained actors can do their lockpicking scenes live, with whatever their character happened to have in their pockets, and it looks completely authentic!
My mother always said, "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." So all I will say is... of all of the padlocks ever to have been designed, this is most definitely one of them.
Honestly, learning the basics of lockpicking is very easy. Picking is a skill with a very low entry level of skill and an *absurdly* high ceiling level of skill. LPL, BosnianBill etc have extreme levels of skill that take years or decades to acquire, but picking a Master 1902 takes about 5 minutes of basic instruction in lock mechanics and the instruction to "go nuts!"
2:08 Starts Pick #1 5:20 Finishes Pick #24 192 seconds for 24 picks 8 seconds per pick (more like 4 seconds per pick, and 4 seconds transferring between picks)
Come on guys, can't you see this lock is absolutely worth it? This is something to boost your ego out of the atmosphere! "Yeah, I'll pick a lock for you. Gimmie that piece of wire."
Reminds me of a scene from The Chronicles of Riddick. Richard B. Riddick: (Places a cup in front of him) Slam Guard: You'll kill us... with a soup cup? Richard B. Riddick: Tea, actually. Slam Guard: What's that? Richard B. Riddick: I'll kill you with my teacup. Slam Guard: (Attacks) Richard B. Riddick: (Kills first guard with tea cup) Richard B. Riddick: (Places a small piece of wire in front of him)
@@aaronwebb7090 Pretty true. You buy a $500,000 boat which is firmly secured with a $3 lock from Staples. They don't even come with locks on the lockers, which makes you wonder why they don't just call them unlockers.
If you're pulling out a lock to impress females, you're already fucked! Lol Not once has that skill ever gotten someone laid, let alone have found a meaningful, lasting relationship solely on one's ability to pick a lock...Not once.
You are wrong, this lock is the perfect match for people who always loose their keys. It's faster to look around for any pointy things than your damn keys.
@@magma2680 iirc, Thinkgeek used to sell a large realistic-looking security camera for $20 that didn't actually do anything except blink a tiny red led light as if it is recording. Of course, thieves don't know that, hence a $20 security camera that theoretically works just as well as a $200 one.
Can confirm, got drunk and pissed on lock, fell open and dropped loudly waking up everyone in the house. Side note, don't get lock dirty, as washing it off will open it without fail.
LOL. The lock came pre-trained from China. That's probably why it was so expensive. It couldn't have been easy teaching the lock to open so easily. :-)
To my understanding this is the only video that breaks that rule, for the version of the rule that I use which is if the video is longer than 3 minutes then it's probably not a horrible lock. This video was just him having a lot of fun humiliating this walk
that lock is locksport comedy gold.... i think it needs to be featured more in "what can't open this" style videos. paper clips, zipties, whatever you can find!!!! i am also slightly interested to see how it would handle spping, raking and rocking are great fast entry techniques, and they do show how vulnerable a lock is, but spp kinda breaks it down a bit more. either way, thanks for making me laugh that hard at a lock!!! that thing makes a master 140 look like a lockwood!
Me: sees an LPL video almost 6 minutes long, thinking to myself that it has to be an outstanding lock. LPL: this lock is outstanding, but not for the right reason :/
I would almost call it false advertising, especially at the price point. I mean, you go out and buy a cheap lock and you know it is a cheap lock. You see something like this and you have to assume it is quality. As a consumer you really don't have a lot to go on in regards to implied security, aside from the cost.
Guess, we are simply getting the ad wrong. Maybe they intentionally published a lock you will not need to worry about when losing your key. Frustration free lock basically.
@Fredd Colour Green Noooo. You see, this is a movie/video game lock. It's for those actors that need to open a door with basically any snot rag or bullet
Oh gawd! That their quality control allows for a bidding like that... Assuming that its all standard driver pins and a core to a somewhat reasonable'ish tolerance, if the bidding had been better it should give a newb like me at least a good 5 minutes of resistance in SPPing, but this is just hilarious :D Could you try a wooden toothpick? And if that still work, try shaping a pick from chewing gum and put it in the freezer... it should stay hard long enough to get it open :P
Yaniv Johnson nahh I’ve seen pin tumbler locks with all standard pins way harder than this. He just wiggled a tension wrench in there and opened it. That’s not just a factor of standard pins
No chicken bone opening? :) How about knock knock joke? oh and suggestion from my wife - compressed air. really lovely lock, had too many laughs :D Thanks
Yes I would like to see, just for fun, using items that have been used in Hollywood movies to magically open locks. Start with a bobby pin and get sillier
Lol, I've never seen LPL destroy a lock as thoroughly as this one! I know MasterLock gets destroyed numerous times by being picked multiple times in multiple ways, but this lock takes the cake!
Maybe if it was between 5 and 10 dollars rather than costing 30 to 60 (Depending on where you buy it). If you're in the UK (or some European countries) and want a padlock that's pretty easy for a beginner to pick (But not boringly easy), I've found the "Smith & Locke 50mm Closed shackle Padlock" to be a pretty good option. It's easy enough for even a beginner to pick within 10 minutes, they can be single pin picked or raked quick enough to impress people once you've got a better grasp of what you're doing (If that's what floats your boat). They're available for as low as £5 ($6.50ish), and all the S&L locks I've bought just use plain pins with no spools or serrations to trip up the beginner. I bought several different Smith and Locke padlocks when I started messing about with lock picking, and they're all reasonably easy to pop, But the 50mm Closed shackle is the one I give to friends to try once they can SPP pick my handful of acrylic locks without looking at them. :)
Over a decade ago I was involved in the pickup artist community. Guys used to say this particular thing all the time: A key that can open many locks is a good key. But a lock that can be opened by many keys is a bad lock. Obviously it wasn’t a metaphor for lock picking. But I finally found the lock that can be opened by virtually any key. And even a few non-keys. 😂
I have a dimple shutter lock like this opens with the back side of any pick with a bit of a wiggle, and I still pick it every now and again, makes me smile.
Nice video! I have found that the Master #1 padlock is the same way. This would be a great beginner's lock. I keep those kind of locks for the newbies to start out with just so they can get the feel of picking and the action of lock operation while picking. This lock is just way too expensive for the low security it has.
Seriously, though, LPL, can you suggest a few locks for beginners to graduate through for practice? And, perhaps, the beginners tool kit? Thank you! Forgive me if you've already covered it in another vid...
...and the lock is still on sale on Amazon 4 years later (Dec 2020) for almost $70.00. Lots of reviews pointing to this video, I hope people read the reviews.
LOL! Glad you made this one. You'll definitely save someone from buying a horrible lock. Hmmm...I wonder if the lock co. is related to Master Lock? Lol
Very funny video and it seems you had alot of fun making it :). Besides the bitting, the actual lock doesn't look too bad, but wow, really opened with every tool :D. And for a price between 20 and 50 bucks...it can't be worse. This is the one exception for "you get what you pay for" ;D. I have seen pretty expensive "easy" locks before, but this one really tops them all :). Thanks for sharing :).
Thanks... the real fun part was trying to find a tool that wouldn't work. I couldn't -- if it fit in the keyway, the lock opened! I was even able to open it with a strip that I cut off one of my business cards!
Hahaha that sounds awesome ;). Well, not for the lock ;). At least it doesn't matter when you loose the key, just keep a business card around ;D. Really like these funny moments, besides all the serious locks you show.
