Looks like $99 would be a fair price for this kit unless they were tools made by reputable brands. I am a big fan of formlabs and have a form 2 but $299 seems wildly over priced.
Not good, you should definitely be wearing a mask using the rotary, see the air born particles which you are breathing in,....with respect, re-do the video......and research health and safety
What are your recommendations for PPE while finishing? Should we wear gloves or a mask? I'm worried about breathing in and tracking around all of that dust, given that it doesn't degrade on its own like sawdust.
just guessing, but given that even sawdust can harm your lungs it would seem that some sort of mask would be recommended. a simple box fan with a furnace filter could help with collecting dust
I would recommend at least an n95 for particles for the processes shown above. Personally I work with SLA a great deal so I use a half-mask respirator with Organic Vapor canisters, n95 covers, gloves, and eye protection to avoid the acute toxicity of liquid resin & fumes as well as the tendency to get sensitized to the materials with repeated exposure.
What are you doing with a resin printed shovel?? Is that even strong enough to be functional or did you just print something that's going straight into the trash. Overall, this whole video just screams irresponsible!
