I think it's awesome to go into mass, not only familiar with the readings, but just being in a prayerful state of mind. Humble, open and willing to receive what God has for us. We are so blessed as Catholics.

Today reading's and Gospel are the same 2000 years ago as they apply to today, if not more. So many people have left the church because there choked by worldly goods and possessions they put themselves before God and the Gospel. Sadly, many leave the church, including me, because we have no formation. The entire faith is presented to us as a group of rules. Rules that when taken out of context make no sense. 12 years of "religious education" and all they taught was "Jesus loves you, what would Jesus do?" Literally asked a 6th grade teacher "what exactly is a sin?" She replied "a sin is anything that makes you feel bad". Most of us in that class left the church, right about the time we graduated high school. Returned to the church when I couldn't find an alternative church that made the eucharist it's focus, even though at that point had NO CLUE it was the real presence of Christ. Started learning the real church when homeschooling using the Baltimore Catechism. Now as a grandma, still consider myself a baby Catholic because there is so much to learn!

The Eucharist is the eternal gift of Jesus himself until he comes back, My question to our Protestants brothers and sisters is do we commit sins before being born❓the answer is no, we don’t commit sins before we being born. Then that’s why Jesus is in the Eucharist now and eternally until he comes back.

I’m a proud Catholic because Catholic doctrine is the most sacred religion in our world, I understand that we do not commit sins before we are born and that Jesus Christ is with us in the Eucharist because he needs to redeem us and other generations, we do not exist in the year 33 I was not born in the 33 and I don’t commit sins before I born, that’s why we have to believe that Jesus Christ is in the Eucharist and that is the way he redeems us from our sins when we have communion with him, we are sinners as sinners we need to go to him in the Eucharist and promise to him that we shall not commit sins again against him or God .

'If' you sin sounds more optimistic than 'when' you sin. 'When' you sin lacks the same degree of faith as 'if' you sin. 'If' you walk with Christ, he will keep you off the broad path of sin. 'If' you keep his commandments, you walk with him. You can't do it without faith or trust abiding in him.
