I am new to your channel. So happy I found you both. I am a few years older than you both but I am in a chapter of my life where I am wanting to relocate to be closer to my daughter. My husband died in 2014 and even though I am still working full time, it's daunting to think of starting over in a new area, not knowing anyone but my daughter, and having to find a new job. How did you find the church you go to? I would like to do that but I am in the first phase of trying to figure this all out on my own. I've networked with people but no one has any contacts in the area I want to move to. I know a lot is in God's timing, but I can't just sit and expect things to fall into my lap. I need to be proactive but fear has held me back so far. Thanks for sharing your stories.

Finding a new church was quite a task for us. We tried a lot of churches in the area (thankfully there are a lot to choose from) and the process took us nearly two years. We are actually considering doing a video on that journey. I think the key is finding one that feels like home. Feeling welcomed and having programming that your heart is longing for is huge. You have to be willing to move on if it just doesn't feel right until God settles you.
