As a Christian man who's recently found myself back in the position of maybe looking for someone, here's a few reasons that have stopped me from approaching women: 1) She's not physically attractive or my type 2) My own fear of rejection or disqualifying myself over something like "I'm probably not tall enough or rich enough" etc. 3) She's not very feminine (with the way she dresses, behaves, or acts too "matey"). 4) She is so involved with her girlfriends that it's impossible to even get into a conversation with her or she arrives at church at the last minute and disappears immediately (i.e. makes herself unavailable). 5) Acts a bit super spiritual and intimidating to the point where I feel like I probably wouldn't be good enough for her. There's probably other reasons, but those are just the ones coming to my mind right now.
All of the reasons are lies from the pit of hell. Silence those voices whenever you hear them speak. You are good enough, rich enough, spiritual enough and may you get the courage to ask that one God has for you!
Be equally yoked brother. Just because someone is physically good looking does not mean they will be a good wife. I don’t expect a body builder for a husband lol ya know? It’s hard to find other Christian singles period! Lol
I have declined women for all the reasons you mentioned. The "arriving at church last minute, booking it during the closing hymn" phenomenon is painfully common with the few 20-somethings at my parish. Between that and always surrounding yourself with family/friends, you aren't creating opportunities for men to meet you beyond superficial (passing) interactions. If you always go to church together as a family, then you might as well make the best of it and ask your most trusted family member "Hey, I like that guy over there. Could you introduce me to him?", because there's almost no chance of him asking you out in front of your family of 14. 😛Likewise, if you go alone, sit near the guy you like and pay him a compliment after the Mass or service. Those are guaranteed ways to show your romantic interest and get the ball rolling.
It sounds like 'reasons' 2-5 have the same root... you are intimidated to approach, and you've told yourself that it's is because of something SHE did or didn't do, or something she is or isn't. If you work on your insecurities, the 'matey' girl might be the best friend you could ever have. Which is what you'd want in a relationship. Some women dress up on certain occasions and dress down for others...like the grocery store. Do you wear a suit every day? You might have more courage/success meeting women by joining organizations or community service/missions where you could connect with women one on one vs. the pressure to cross the room and spark up a conversation. Maybe you're passing on a lot of potential 'mates' for 'reasons' that are more about you than the women.

It's off putting/unnatractibve, but maybe she's just not interested and she'd behave differently around a guy she likes.

AS A MAN I used to pursue and ask out women and found it to be horrible experiences. BUT THANK GOD I finally did it HIS Way and Prayed and waited... HE showed me that a man does not pursue the woman. Instead, GOD will bring the woman to the man (because a GODLY woman obeys GOD first...and NOT her flesh). I waited....and HE brought me a woman straight to my work place. Listen to GOD folks. I’m 29, I’ve never been asked out. So the intro made me laugh, admittedly in a cynical way, but also genuinely giggling. However, your first point felt like you were directly speaking to me. I have a joyful personality, I’m pretty outgoing and love being around others! But, when a man I’m attracted to enters the conversation or the room I hide. Makes me sad now that there are no men in my current church around my age who are single. I was also told in college by two guy friends in my church that I was “such a bro.” And I knew then I was doing something wrong.
I used to be one of the guys too. It can change God has brought me on a journey to being more feminine. I don't play violent video games anymore or kick it with the guys per se binging on some demonic anime and hanging with the guys in a man cave for goodness sake. I have boundaries with the opposite sex and I also started wearing more feminine clothing like skirts and dresses.
One reason that the video did not really mention (at least, not in enough specificity), is that a lot of women act cold and defensive when a guy approaches her - probably because she’s been hurt before, or someone told her that playing “hard to get” was attractive, or maybe she just wants to be pursued to get the guy to prove his intentions (or to feed her ego). If a man does not know you, then he probably will never pursue you or try to tear down your emotional walls to try to convince you to like him, because he has no incentive to do so (Romance novels and movies lied to you about how relationships work). First of all, he doesn’t know you, so he has no idea of what he is missing out on, so he has no incentive to pursue a complete stranger who has never given him any kind of warn or friendly feelings, ever. Why would he waste time trying to convince a hostile stranger (namely you), a stranger that he has no emotional connection to (at least not yet), that he is worthy of being given a chance? Men have pride too, and he is not going to waste his time trying to win you over if you make a bad first impression by acting distant, cold, defensive, or excessively quiet & shy when he comes over to introduce himself (Nervous behavior often comes across as rude and/or disrespectful, I’m afraid). If a woman acts like she has no basic social skills around the men that she likes, then she gives the impression that she has poor relationship skills, and will be difficult to get along with. What man wants that kind of spouse? And besides, if a woman acts disinterested, cold, or just plain bored, it makes the guy feel unwanted and unwelcome, and no one likes that feeling; he will, most likely, assume that you are just not interested in him (because he is ugly, he is not your type, he said something wrong, you heard a rumor about him, you already have a man, etc.), and he will just move on to someone who does make him feel welcome and wanted. No guy wants to stay where he is not wanted, because no one wants to feel like he is boring you, or harassing you, or intruding on your personal space, and so on, as that makes him feel like a creep, and no one likes that feeling. Usually when a person is glad to see you, then she usually ACTS like she is glad to see you (crazy, I know) by: smiling at you, laughing at your jokes, asking you questions, responding to your questions with long answers (instead of just giving abrupt one or two word answers), and so on. By contrast, a woman who ACTS like she doesn’t like you, will give you the impression that she doesn’t like you (crazy, I know). A woman who likes you will try to make you feel comfortable in her presence, while a woman who acts guarded, and acts like she is suspicious of your motives, will make you feel uncomfortable in her presence. If you, the lady, make a guy feel uncomfortable then he will, probably, never speak to you again as no one likes that feeling. If you make a person feel bad when they are around you, then they don’t want to be around you anymore. A person who wants friends must act friendly (Proverbs 18:24). Standing in the corner with your arms crossed and giving the world a sour, stern, unhappy look will scare people away (no one approaches someone who looks unhappy, as they assume that you will snap at them), while smiling, happy people who seem to be having a good time and who act happy to meet everyone will attract people. If you are depressed a lot, get some help and do something about that, as unhappy people scare other people away. Bad feelings are contagious (and happy feelings are, too). If you had a choice, would you want to approach a happy person, or would you prefer to approach an unhappy one?
Right on time! I have been definitely been guilty of topic 1 especially at the beginning of the year. I was unintentionally hiding myself start this year and it doesn’t help that I’m an introvert. God has been helping me gain confidence despite being an introvert to go out more and get involved in church activities, make friends, and more.
Growing up in a bit sheltered home. I don’t really have much experience in knowing when a guy is interested or not. I wasn’t allowed to date during my teens. So topic 4 was somewhat relatable to me because I’d experienced it not too long ago. I was a bit fearful when I sensed a guy might’ve been interested in me. Will be watching more videos to know how to improve in myself.
It could also just not be the right time yet if God is hiding you especially if you are in a wilderness season. It also helps to not have an overly masculine attitude because of work and lack of a feminine demeanor. These 2 things I have noticed a lot.
Remember when Jesus was Baptized but didn’t immediately go right into ministry and was instead led into the wilderness for 40 days to be tempted by Satan and then released into ministry? Remember when the Israelites were supposed to be in the wilderness for only 2 weeks but it lasted 40 years until they were finally ready and prepared to go into the Promise land? Remember how David was anointed King of Israel at a young age but went through a season where he was running away from Saul in the wilderness until he became old enough I think either at age 30 Or 40 to then be King of Israel? All these people went through a season in the wilderness where nothing was really happening in their lives and even in the case of David being hunted down with only suffering and moving from place to place and they didn’t immediately receive the promises God had for them because they all needed to go though a purification and preparation period to get rid of fear, worry, temptation. God used the 40 years of the wandering of the Israelites to build up an obedient, strong, faithful, and believing nation while the old generation fearful and anxious disobeyed God and didn’t trust Him even though he showed them the promises He had for them. The wilderness is where God safely kept Jesus, David, the Israelites, and Moses to mold their character into the character He wanted and released them to do the work and receive the Promises He had prepared when they could handle it only after growing deep and intimate with Him in a relationship that they all needed in the wilderness and beyond to survive and flourish. The wilderness is God’s testing ground for His anointed when they aren’t ready most times to keep them safe and mold their character and teach them all kinds of critical things they need to succeed for what He has planned for them releasing them only at the appointed time when their hearts, minds, and souls are strong and ready to overcome anything.

Of course not. But it’s important, read Song of Solomon. Isaac didn’t KNOW Rachel. But when he saw her and her sister as part of the deal to marry Rachel he “waited another 7 years which seemed to him only a few days.” Isaac was overwhelmed by Rachel’s beauty. The point I was trying to make which you clearly missed was that I was complimenting her on being very beautiful. She’s NOT some hideous or unattractive person. I’m surprised more men are not approaching her. If it WAS being worldly then her looks would be the only thing that matters or the only reason why someone might pursue her, which is clearly wrong. But approaching someone because you’re physically attracted to them isn’t WORLDLY. Marks even talked about this in other videos.
@@sovereigniam777 you’re taking that verse out of context. Did you forget Paul says to test the spirits? In order to do that you must be engaging with other people in the first place. And I never said to just trust your eyes. If you see someone who you find attractive and want to go talk to them, then do it. You won’t know if that person is good or bad unless you talk to them. To wait for a word from God or an inner voice for him to lead you whom to talk to or not every single time is deceiving and not biblical. Does God speak through a still small voice? Yes. But God usually shows us the steps to take when we start moving. You can’t steer a ship that’s parked in the harbor.
Ladies stop asking GOD for a man then be afraid to invite him when u see him in public give him a hint. Speak to him. Flirt a little but always be sincere know what you want and don’t play games I’ve heard some women tell other women that they were scared to talk to me because I’m muscular and idk if that’s intimidating or what

Wow thanks Mark. The first point is literally me cause I have known for some time now that I am hiding myself, my mom and boss actually pointed that out to me. I am an introvert and I love my space so don't really spend time at places where I come in contact with men. Another thing is I have this prayer that I used to pray that God will make make me invisible to all the wrong men around me and only make me visible to my rightful husband. So I trust God and His timing but I'm also confused as to what to do so I'm thinking of going out more and making myself visible and let God take care of the rest coz I am tired of being single😂
The word is discerning. A woman I was pursuing talked herself out of it because of fear from being cautious. At the first sign she felt afraid, she gave up without even to ask questions. She overthought it in her mind and missed a blessing in her life.
To be candid, that's a pretty gross way to look at it. Imagine if a single woman asked "where are all the men" and some dude chimed in saying "well God is just keeping his sons safe." Like that sounds kind of messed up to look at it like that. And it doesn't even make sense. Plenty of Christian women date nonbelievers because they feel as if that's what they have to do to get a relationship these days... Is God protecting them there? Does He just not care when we date nonbelievers? Like really sit and think about what is acusing christian men of when someone says that. I don't know. By a city council man who was held in high esteem in our city. He was completely different in private. I would not have been able to handle it if I were younger. I avoided rape because I knew how to listen to the Holy Spirit. I stand by my statement. God does indeed protect His daughters. I am living proof.

Once again another video came through with confirmation of what I'm going through. I am definitely guilty from #1. I am a shy introverted person and when it comes to social events, especially within the church, I tend to get social anxiety due to past trauma from my past. I'm going to continue to ask God to gain more confidence in this area of my life because I am a very shy introverted person that needs to get over this fear of people so I can build better relationships.

There's actually only one thing that would prevent me from asking a single attractive woman out: attitude (Too many women want to act cold and stern, then wonder why men don't come up and talk to them lol. Girls today are pretty bossy too! I was noticing a lady in the grocery store with her husband and she was just so incredibly bossy to him. He did nothing. She barged in front of people and took over the isle. What kind of hidden me was the false accusations in the communities and me not really being able to connect healthily with other Christians. Now I may go out and all I may be attractive by the Grace of God, but God allowed me not to see God fearing men around me. Or to be hit on by one of them up till now. But God is Faithful🎉

Yeah, be sure not to direct, correct or be braggadocio or arrogant! Oh yeah, do not hang out with a feminine man that you consider a friend. They OFTEN block guy friends by putting them down. Truth there… Non verbal, I can always sense when a guy is getting ready to ask me out.

The realest advice is that men are visually stimulated... so, getting in the best shape possible, looking your best and putting yourself around men is the best and most actionable advice in my opinion.
Number 3 goes both ways, which often leads to number 4. If there is a questionable so called friendship, a wise woman will be extra cautious not to give off any signs of interest ullnless the man speaks up first. So if a man has genuine interest in woman he needs to be careful whom he is close friends with, otherwise he shouldn't expect to see green light.

You know as a Christian teen dating is hard and complicated. Especially dating just to date, I don't understand why people waste their time getting to know someone and sharing time with them in a romantic capacity if they know they will never take it farther than just being boyfriend and girlfriend. Not many people my age consider dating this seriously or even really looking at someone as a potential wife or husband down the line. Aside from that, I need to fix my self esteem and my weight. 😔 At present I'm not super attractive or really the kind of person who'd turn a head even if I was a bit lighter. Despite knowing that appearance isn't everything and that such shallow interests or concerns aren't going to be needed in Heaven, I still worry that nobody will ever even be interested enough in my appearance to consider getting to know me on a non superficial level. Kinda sucks. :/ (I'm also somewhat active in social groups like youth groups, but that's quite recent) Does anybody have advice for me?
I've heard worry be equated to praying for what you don't want. So leave it to God instead. And don't feel like you need the attention from everyone to be of value or worthwhile. You really just need to turn the head of the right one, ya know? Let that be the focus, being the right one for the right one.

Look up Dr Eric Berg for healthy tips on you tube. Get a hobby like hiking, photography outdoors, volunteer where you’re around healthy people, and don’t worry about the looks thing. Your confidence and the light of God will outshine anything. I’ve known women 2 times my size get married to the love of their life. They were loving, kind, and wonderful to their now husbands. And remember our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit- we must treat it how God created us to. ❤️ I hope some of that helps.
And be patient. See how women in the Bible trusted God. Do not settle for anyone who is pushy, makes you compromise your beliefs and purity, and watch out for red flags.
Oftentimes, a woman’s reputation can harm her romantic possibilities greatly. If you’re known as the difficult or dramatic one in your social circle, men will find out, often fast from other guys in the group, and will scurry quickly from you.

This has nothing to do with the topic of this video but anyways I have to ask! 😅 A few weeks ago I met a guy who follows Jesus and he serves a lot at church. He seems like a good guy and that he has a relationship with Jesus. Im waiting for marriage and have never slept with anyone but he did in his past relationships with other girls. He said that he regretted that and that he stopped and ended things 1,5 years ago. On one side it doesn’t bother me that he has that past, on the other side it kinda feels unfair that he had that past while I intentionally waited for so long. Do you think it’s worth for me giving him a chance and date him? (We are both still young both 21 years old btw)
As a man who intentionally has been waiting I am being chased by women who have a past. It almost always discourage me to pursue them back. Just a thought for you, if it doesn't feel right it ain't right. It makes me think of people being unequally yorked. Definitely seek advice from older married godlymen and women.

And it is wise if they don't know who he is so the advice will be more likely without any biases. Also two sisters in Christ who are after me recently told me about forgiveness in Jesus. I personally don't think these two are related, if people have a past it is not about me to give forgiveness to. That's God's business, because they didn't commit that sin against me as I wasn't married to them. As a believer, your present choice is based upon your judgment of who can be a godly and loyal partner to you. One or two years observing people may reveal who people are by looking at what they do rather than what they say. May God's wisdom be with you!

It would be nice to be in a community but I seem to draw people with certain characteristics like control and a tendency to argue or people who discourage me. mark's teachings are contrary to the Word of God. GOD expects the woman to go find the Man He has planned for her...and NOT the other way around. *men will consistently pursue the WRONG woman. CLEARLY, mark is teaching the worldly ways of dating and NOT GOD's Will concerning matchmaking. If you sit around expecting GOD to bring you a man like prince charming to Rapunzel...you are sadly mistaken. And obeying mark's teachings over GOD's Word (The Lord JESUS CHRIST) will only lead you to disaster/frustration and misery. (Mark himself receives your money and lives a comfortable life-style at your expense.) Get rid of your itching ears and ignore the fairy tale (Fables) teaching and PRAY and HEAR GOD's guidance instead. His Word is FREE and costs you nothing but obedience in LOVE. "But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness." -TIMOTHY 1 4 : 7 "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart, and lean not upon thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and HE SHALL DIRECT THY PATHS! Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. -PROVERBS 3: 5-7

Boaz FOUND Ruth at the foot of his bed. The LORD JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF FOUND Mary Magdalene at his feet. no effort was made to pursue these women like the world wants men to do. Proverbs 18 : 22 is for Men who obey GOD and do NOT follow the lust in his own heart to go chasing after women. FINDING a wife is like when you FIND a Christmas gift under a Holiday tree. If you believe otherwise, you are not Hearing and Obeying the Word of GOD. Lean not to your own understanding and be not wise in YOUR OWN eyes. (Proverbs 3 : 5-7) GOD's Will is for the woman to OBEY HIM and follow HIM to the man HE has planned for marriage. Any other way is ungodly and is not from THE FATHER.
