@@Spacevet consecutive weeks n1 is a more important record than overall. most wimbledon, most us open, most finals are a few of the records he still holds. even if he had none, you just have to watch him play to know who the goat is. people in 100 years will see videos of him playing and know who the goat is. there will never be someone like him.

@@rogerigez21 It proves nothing. You and many other Fed fans are so obsessed with saying "trolls" so fast anyone state that Fed not number1. Just look on the fact. He will have the record "consecutive weeks n1" that do not mean much, but not much more when they all retired.

Probably not, because anyone who is close will have too much pressure to fill his shoes.

Why see a player like him when there could be one better? Years will pass and people will develop a better sense of knowledge on the court. More and more generations will adapt and grow with practice and skills/knowledge passed on from player to player. I agree that no one will be like him but I also believe players are going to grow to be even better in skill and make tennis look even more effortless. But thats just my opinion.

Federer's era, where he racked up so many of his titles, was the true weak era. Everyone knows it. There's a reason he stopped winning titles on a consistent basis when Nadal and Novak came into their primes and it wasn't the age. Nadal and Novak are in their mid going to late 30s and still dominating the sport. So you can toss that bullshit excuse right out.

Yes, fucking obviously. Genius, performance, and achievement matter too. Lots of artists put in much more effort than Picasso or Da Vinci have done. Steadfastness and effort are great, but to ignore genius, talent, achievement, etc is silly. Michael Jordan golfed and gambled and ran businesses and played baseball. There are many basketball players who put in more singular effort at their craft than he did. But they never accomplished his heights.
