I love how Reggie isn't afraid to stand his ground with Shaq. Shaq is in shock at getting his list rejected, and Reggie is adamant that "it's a bad list." Shaq can't handle being told no.😂😂
C Webb wasn't "greater" than so many players I could mention. just in the last 10 years. It's actually disrespectful they had him above Wade and Durant in their original next 10 list. Also these players were much better than him. Curry Harden Westbrook Giannis Kawhi Anthony Davies Chris Paul
Webber could really play he was right there with Tim and KG. Webber also had more longevity than Rasheed and Antonio McDyees. The West in that time had a lot of great Power Forwards.
shaq respects those who isnt intimidated by his pressence.. hakeem, yao, A.I... and ofcourse he deeply respects Barkley.. hes just messing with him since they are like brothers
He respect guys that intimidate him, guys taller than him or dont give af about him or talk trash to him. Hes soft just see him in debates , just bullies people smaller than him by his size
Ray allen was just a good All-Star level player. He aint no franchise/Superstar player like Reggie was. People forget Reggie KILLED the 90s teams with his closing talent. Even Jordan acknowledged that. Put some respect on Reggie Miller's name,yo. If it wasn't for Kobe/Jordan, Reggie would've already had at least 2-3 rings. Thats how powerful Reggie was.
I have to say, Reggie Miller is a class of its own when it comes to gentleman-behavior in any live show; he has style and humbleness! He is competent, and he teaches Chris Webber humbleness, when he takes himself from the list!
I would rather someone say what they really think rather than put up a fake humble act. There's nothing wrong with believing that you deserve to be in the conversation, it's not as if he didn't at the time. (Doesn't now)
@@safe3220 I don't think Reggie put up a "fake humbleness". I think he was very genuine and gracious. He is in the 75th list and he deserves to be there.
@@rucianapollard7098 I'm not talking about Reggie. I'm talking about Webber. Webber shouldn't have to pretend that he doesn't believe in himself being in that sort of ranking.
Chris is mad cuz all the other what we call in China "top 4 4" power forwards are on the list: Kevin/Dirk/Tim. This concept came out around 2004 when only Duncan got the ring. He's mad cuz if there's no Donaghy in 2002 he may have won a championship. But to me, he's not even close to Reggie in All NBA player ranking. Not Even Close.
It’s funny coming back to this after C Webb didnt make the next 25. He was getting so touchy about making the next 10 lol. And Reggie took himself out of the running but actually made the next 25
You don't. At least 5 points, 3 boards and and an assist less in both years Nash won his MVP than those phantom numbers Shaq throws about. I love Big Diesel with the best of them but he needs a slap to the face with his real numbers for those years.
+T74G Shaq's Numbers during: Nash's 1st MVP: 22.9, 10.4, 2.7 Nash's 2nd MVP: 20.0, 9.2, 1.9 Nowhere near the 28.5 and 13 you stated. Regardless, it's not much of a debate, Nash is easily one of the top 50 players ever. There are many players that should be off the original list.
sergiomorfo that’s what I’m saying he carried Shaq 35.7 in the finals what his 3rd year lmaooo Shaq talking about some penny the dude he left to go play in LA and he went to Miami because of wade
@IVORY ! Wade cant shoot beyond 18ft and he had a very short prime thats why he get snubbed. Jordan, Kobe, LeBron, Garnett, Duncan, Shaq, all played at higher level longer. D Wade pretty much done.
I love Reggie Miller’s humbleness & humility, but he most definitely deserves to be on this list. He single handily carried the Pacers for his entire career, and he made them contenders. Not to mention, he was an assassin; always clutch. That Knicks rivalry that they had in the 90’s was classic. Especially in the playoffs; Reggie always killed them, and laughed while doing it. Beast.
I never thought it would even be a question Reggie on this list. He was the Jordan of 3 point shooters if there ever was one! Dude had that fire like Jordan and willed his team in similar ways to Jordan. Obviously a completely dif type player but that fire was undeniable and he had the skills to back it! It's really sad that all these greats are often looked over caus there lack of accomplishments but it was caus Jordan prevented them all from winning but I guess it is what it is. Imagine Ewing Olajuwan Reggie Chuck Mailman Stockton and so many others careers if Jordan never played. Something to think about.
@@krisharkleroad8 Its not always about the stats... Its the importance and significance. Who do you think of when you think of Indiana Pacers? He was really only Pacers franchise player you can think of. Only under his leadership, the Pacers went to one and only Finals.
Ernie : Michael Jordan? Shaq : OVER PENNY AND T MAC?! Ernie : Lebron James? Shaq : OVER PENNY AND T MAC?!?! Ernie : Jesus? Shaq : OVER PENNY AND T MAC?!?!?!
@@luisdaniellopez4571 Win it with Penny? Shaq couldn't even win ONE game against the 95 Rockets and 96 Bulls. He got swept two straight years with All-NBA First Team guard Penny Hardaway. Shaq and Penny were the two mentally weakest superstars in NBA history before LeBron James.
Shaq is insane. He wants Penny who didn't win anything and was injured cutting his career short and scored "only" 10,000 pts. But would take Bill Walton off the list who won a FMVP, MVP and 6th man of the year after an injury just because he only scored 6,000 points. To me if you achieve the ultimate goal of winning a championship as the best player on your team then you should be on the list.
Shaq's Top 10 of All Time: 1. Shaquille O'Neal 2. Penny Hardaway 3. Michael Jordan 4. Shaq 5. Yao Ming 6. Gary Payton 7. Big Aristotle 8. Robert Horry 9. The kid who bullied Steve Nash in middle school 10. The Monstars from Space Jam
This episode is a great example of how bad Shaq was when he started on TNT. He kept crying about Penny’s four productive years and gave Yao shine but he, of all people, didn’t agree with DWade???
These mfs put cwebb over dwight? Are you kidding me. Cweb is nowhere near dwight. And they laughin too the disrespect is crazy. Dwight should be over regi cweb pierce payton
CWebb had help and the league threw the series, Kings were winning and better and in a fair called series would have won, watched that shix in disbelief, they were robbed, hands down.
peggasyskid I put Reggie Miller on that list before C Webb. I put him on there before D Wade. I put him in the top 50 and take Zeke off. Isiah at this point especially has been blown away by like 15 point guards at least. He also shits on Pippen every chance he gets. Isiah is a punk bitch in my opinion. Yeah... that’s my personal take. I just don’t like the dude. I have always thought he was overrated too. Sorry Zeke fans.
29:54 - Chris Webber is right: Dirk and him didn't have the same numbers. Dirk is clearly a cut above CWebb, no matter what Cwebb thinks. Dirk was an MVP, offense-unto-himself (including crunch time), and a consistently great playoff performer. CWebb wasn't a scrub, but he's not on Dirk's level.
CWebb: 5 time all NBA, 5 time all star, ROY, and a rebound champ D Wade: 13 all star, 8 time all NBA, 1 scoring title, 3 time all defensive, 3 RINGS, Finals MVP, all-star MVP, 3rd best shooting guard of all time C Webb was underrated but that’s laughable D wade is in a different league and Shaq should know that
I'm mad Jason Kidd wasn't taken seriously enough. Got a mediocre, YES mediocre, New Jersey team to the finals back to back years and was 1 game away from a title in '03 against the powerful Spurs with Kenyon Martin as his next best player. That holds weight.
This panel of guys is probably one of my favs. Have the main four. The wisdom of Isaiah. No chill of Reggie. Grit of C-Webb. Everyone can speak their mind and back it up. Chauncey was a rook, but still insightful
@@blAnc1k pippen said some things about Isaiah Thomas shouldn't been on the 1st dream team so Scottie pippen started this. I like Scottie pippen though I think he's a good analyst on the jump on ESPN but when they asked him that question about Michael not wanting Isaiah of the dream team Scottie saying I didn't want Isaiah on the dream team he should've kept his damn mouth shut.
@Ulysses432 but with all that being said, Dominque should've still made it over Scottie. And no, you have to be takin some weird shit if you think Scottie > Isaiah. "Zeke was a PG and nothing else" what does that even mean? Zeke led his team to back to back titles, one of which was against Magic (the greatest PG of all time) Anyway, Pippen was undeniably one of the best wing defenders in nba history but he is incapable of being a franchise player. If you take Michael Jordan from Pip, do you think he'd still be in the top 50 (without the rings)? probably not. If you take the great Bad Boys Piston teams from Zeke, would he still be in the top 50? Probably yes, because he's a franchise player. Don't get it twisted, Scottie Pippen is the equivalent of Draymond Green on super high level steroids. He does everything Draymond does a lot better but nothing more than that. You're probably a Bulls fan from the MJ era and thats ok but don't let it consume your sanity.
I would give Wade the edge due to the rings he has & it’s very unfortunate Penny got injured because Penny would for sure have been way better than Wade if injuries didn’t have affect. Penny was the face of the NBA in the late 90s with Jordan
What did Shaq average that first year Nash won, 22 and 10? Those are like Tom Chambers numbers. Shaq wasn't even the best on his own team. Plus Shaq missed some games that year. Phoenix improved by 33 games!
@@krisharkleroad8 Exactly. Now you know why Kobe ran Shaq out of town. Would you want to share credit with a lazy entitled fatass with a basketball IQ of 45?
Shaq: "I feel like I was added to quickly to the top 50 of all time" Reggie Miller: "I like your humility but..." Barkley: "I agree with that" Someone, Idk exactly who: "HAHAHAHA"
@@Cinemaheals nah homie, he deserve it, Chris turned sub par teams into playoff teams. Dude was 1 screwjob away from the finals in which, I knew they'd win
Shaq *is* delusional, but he gives respect to players that few people talk about, anymore: Jack Sikma, Rik Smits, Jason Williams, Penny. It's endearing how much he reps certain guys who aren't all-time greats, but were great players, nonetheless.
He and Nash have a history. Shaq stole his idea for a TV show once, and there was acrimony over it. Nash probably isn't Top 50, but it should be known Shaq isn't a good person to ask about it.
Mike Oxstinks. I never saw anybody kill the Knicks like Reggie did in the playoffs. That 3 three point shots in the last 9 seconds was phenomenal ! Clutch !
@FUNKSTAPPUHHH Reggie couldn't pass, couldn't beat dudes off the dribble. A one dimensional player. No way he goes in the next 10, stop it. Neither does C Webb.
It's a variant of a "set shot." which was popular in the 50's. It had to do with balancing the ball on the fingertips and bending and launching the ball without jumping. I can't think of anyone whose game didn't exclusively feature jump shots (including McAdoo himself) after 1980.
No disrespect to Webber, but he's on the outside looking in compared to Garnett, Dirk and Duncan. Mvps of the league and NBA champs. Something cwebb never did
Just looked at the NBA's Greatest 75.... this video aged pretty well for the most part. Lot of names that were mentioned here did make the list this time. Sorry for Chris Webber and Alex English.
The NBa guys are not 100 all the time. Bill Walton in the hall of fame ok. Top 50 no way. When I see Reggie and Kenny kissing ass talking about some contribution to the game Walton made what is it. Oh yeah they beat the Dr. J Sixers team and saved America from the dark side. If I was Isiah I be salty too. He helped to carry the league and got screwed by the league off that dream team.
Right! And its bullshit cause the higher ups didn't even want IT on the team because of the bad boy image and walking off the court after being swept. They didn't want that representing the US
I'm crying laughing at the fact that Shaq keeps bringing up Gary Payton and Penny while everyone else is saying they're not unanimous and he just can't let it go.
He eventually said it, but yeah i agree with Isaiah. Someone like Dominique was better than Pippen. And I agree with Shaq too. If Bill Walton only had around 6,000 career points how was he on the top 50 list?
I dont know why people put Nique over Scottie when the latter has more accolades. 10 time all defensive team (8 first team and 2 second team) and 7 time all nba. Man stop it defence wins championships and scottie was the bulls best defensive player in the first 3peat
Sergio Renato Reyes As good as Pippen was he was never the cornerstone of the franchise, Dominique was and he pretty much put the Atlanta Hawks on the map. He had more responsibility and was one of the top 5-7 players that helped revitalize the NBA in the 80’s
How Rodman wasn't even mentioned is crazy. The guy is one of the best defenders in the history of the league. I get that this was on NBA TV and Stern hated Rodman, but the only reason Rodman doesn't have like 7 DOPY awards is because of Stern.
Because Rodman wasnt on the level of any of the other players mentioned in this video. Rodman wasnt talented enough, especially on the offensive end, to be a star player or carry a franchise the way that Reggie, Webber, Pierce, Nash, Kidd, Payton and others mentioned could
Isiah: "I'm not gonna say who I'd take off the list, it might look like a personal vendetta but McAdoo should be in the list. 5 mins later... "I wouldn't put Scottie Pippen in over Dominique or Bob McAdoo!" Way to keep it to yourself Zeke!
Scottie didn’t make all nba teams until the 1980s small forwards got old. 90s didn’t have many good small forwards Chris Mullin was getting old and grant hill came later. 80s had a lot of good small forwards. Pippen shouldn’t have been over Dominique because he never had to carry a franchise for as long as Dominique. Bill Walton shouldn’t have made it or Shaq not over player who did more for longer. Pippen was great all around but he was called a Jordanaires his first 4 seasons migraine game Pippen, soft and not clutch. Isiah Thomas knows they bullied Pippen 1/10 game 7 had 2 points season before played 20 seconds never returned. Pippen averaged 9 points against the pistons for 2 consecutive years had head problems 2 consecutive years in elimination games. Scottie is my guy I was shocked he made it over Dominique.
Kelly Pagano Isiah is first non center to lead his team to multiple finals without a dominant low post scorer slash center. Then Jordan took it to another level as well as first leading scorer to do it multiple times. They changed the paradigm for winning. Conventional wisdom was centers lead you to championships
I mean this video was put out 3 years ago, but I’d assume it was made a while before. KD hasn’t won his rings, and D-Wade is still solidifying his legacy. C-Webb is very underrated. Dude represented winning and had a huge leadership role. Also would’ve won a title if not for that infamous game vs the Lakers.
Wade averaged 7 more points per game, scored more than twice as much overall, was more efficient, AND has chips... how is he not over Penny? Cmon Shaq.
