When doing the 8 second exhale; it’s hard for me to hold my breast out that long. Any recommendations? I’m very new at this ! Thanks for the video it was super helpful ✨

Thanks Dayna! You can adjust the technique by breathing in for 2 seconds, holding in for 5 seconds and exhaling for 6 seconds or 5 seconds. Try that!

I've been practicing the 478 to work against anxity and to lower blood pressure. Do you find this to be a good method?

Hi Suman, I'm familiar with it as Vishama-vritti. This is a variation within traditional text of Hatha Yoga Pranayama and other traditions of yoga also site variations of Vishama-Vrittis. Hope this helps!
