This is for my 48re transmission as well as a few other similar models.
within 2 hours my truck went from running great to jerking between gears a little bit. Then it wouldn't want to shift into 3rd and wouldn't go over 40mph and would rev really high. Then it wouldn't even want to shift from park into drive or reverse. limped the truck 2 miles home at 10mph. the transmission ultimately would drive but would not shift past first gear so changing the govenor pressure solenoid with one from ATS fixed the problem. and while I was in there I changed the filter, and adjusted the rear band on the inside of the pan. Also adjusted the band outside the case as is all explained. put new Mopar ATF+4 fluid in and once finished the truck is back to normal and even shifting better with the upgraded part.
