Steve Young and Jimmy Garoppolo, both played for a Shanahan, both backed up the goat, both played for the 49ers. Steve had Jerry Rice and Terrell Owens at one point Jimmy has George Kittle and Emmanuel Sanders. only on has started off 8-0 both were my Quarterback

@@Nnhaa986 Can't compare passer ratings now with passer ratings then. I mean, Tony Romo has a higher career rating than Joe Montana. The numbers today are inflated. Different rules. In terms of passer rating, Young stood farther above his contemporaries than Rodgers or Russell stand above their contemporaries today.

Steve Young is such a good guy. He has always conducted himself with class and grace, even in what was often a difficult situation following Joe with the 49ers. I hope Jimmy G perpetuates the Joe and Steve legacy with more Super Bowl wins. I think he will. Go Niners!

To all of you complaining: Jimmy has the same amount of yards as Lamar Jackson, and similar TD numbers as Tom Brady, Deshaun Watson, Philip Rivers and Aaron Rodgers on the season. He's not the GOAT, I'll give you that. But he gets the job done. One loss does not define him as a football player.

Jimmy's played just over 1 season of starts for Kyle and is still learning how to play quarterback. He's relatively inexperienced, but has gotten a very good start and will keep improving.

He isn't but he's proving himself. Monday nights game wasnt his fault. We have injuries right now and it's hurting us! But I hope the niners can keep this keep this momentum going regardless of injuries. I just hope the niners can do better going forward despite these injuries. I'll be glad even if they make it to playoffs this season. Go niners!

@@ChadHellgado Jimmy's had 19 starts and is still learning to play quarterback. He will keep improving. Ken Norton called a good defense. Refs let Clowney tackle Jimmy long after he got rid of the ball multiple times with no penalty.

This was a great conversation between Jimmy G. & my favorite QB of All Time Steve Young. The only QB in NFL history to throw 6 TD passes in a Superbowl. I don't want this to sound like I'm bashing Jimmy, but I just want Steve to give him some pointers on taking care of the football. I really think my 49ers have a chance to do something special this season. We just need to limit those turnovers. I believe our defense creates plenty of opportunities for us. GO 49ers!

That’s our quarterback! Knew he was special, and it’s been amazing to watch him after his season ending injury last year! This guy has become the quarterback we needed, and I’m so glad that John and Kyle have built this team around him to help us get where we need to be. 4:54 this question and answer was almost directly related to Russell Wilson and what he WASN’T able to accomplish with Garroppolo’s current teammate, Richard Sherman, and the rest of that defense in Seattle back then. Jimmy comes off as more authentic than Russ, even tho Russ is awesome.

Cool inInterview. Young knows what .Jimmy is going through. Under the Brady tree. On the Niners now and everyone hopes is can do what Joe and Steve did. Can't underestimate any opponent we face going forward because all it takes is one demoralizing loss to swing the momentum the opposite direction. Every team the 9ers play wants to beat them just on the fact that they're undefeated and on top of that, division games are different. No need to get so high on 8-0 when we could still lose enough to screw things up through a tough schedule. One game at a time.

Even if 49ers lose today, the 49ers are still a better team to then the Saints... All these so call commentators saying Saints are better because they went undefeated with out Breese but yet 49ers remains the only unbeaten team with out two starting Off tackles, all pro FB, lack of wide outs , starting CB. It’s easy to pick of what you know like a Breese or Rodgers but it’s a team sport and the best over all are the 49ers

Yup, I've been saying that all along. The Saints are a better team with Bridgewater because he is much more mobile. Both of their losses came when Brees was their starter.
