It will seem underwhelming to you lol. I actually test drove a GT 6 speed. I was going to trade in my GS for one. Main thing I liked about the GT was the crazy torque down low. As far as the powerband goes, the GS is less torquey but it makes power higher up top, near redline. The GT kind of felt like it fell off past 5500. Could just be the one I test drove. The one I test drove was also fully loaded with leather seats. It was heavy. At the end of the day, it was faster no doubt. I loved the torque of the v6. It felt effortless. However I couldn't justify spending thousands on top after trade in for something that didnt feel "that" much faster than my current car with higher mileage. It was faster of course but it didnt blow me out of the water like I thought it would. I did like it though lol. Loved that 6 speed transmission. Shifts much smoother than the old 5 speed in the GS.
Sunset4G Well I'm not going to lie for my first car I love my GT, I've raced about 3 or 4 GS's and they were pretty slow, but they were auto. I have a K&N Typhoon intake on it and it makes a huge SOUND difference when hitting MIVEC. As for high end speed I can tell the difference but it isn't much at all, just sound maybe 2, 3 horses if that 🤣 You plan on modding?
@@thatone4G The autos are horrendous. Seriously, the manuals are a good bit faster. The auto hits the top of 1st at 40 miles and hour and 2nd at 80 miles an hour. That's horrible. The shorter gearing with the manual makes a huge difference. If I remember correctly the stock 0-60 for the manual is 7.0 seconds while the auto is like 9.1. That's a huge difference. The intake does help, especially if it's a proper cold air intake. And the sound is awesome in MIVEC lol. I've ran a few v6 cars, mainly the Nissan 3.5 and Honda 3.5. While I do lose, I only lose by 1 or 2 cars which isn't bad considering they have 2 more cylinders and 100hp. The trick is you need the manual. The autos are slow af. I have an intake and exhaust right now. I dont really plan on doing much past that, since aftermarket is limited for this car. I would have liked race headers. Someday I want to swap the head and boost it, but we'll see lol.
