Today I unbox BenQ's EL2870U 4K HDR monitor! A 28" 4K @60Hz, HDR monitor with AMD Freesync, 1ms GTG response time and B.I. Plus Technology! In this video I'll unbox the monitor, set it up for the first time and give you my first impressions! I'll be posting my full review in the next month or so :)

Great monitor, I do have a 2K 144hz with G-sync monitor and I really like it because of it also pretty high resolution and also high refresh rate and I use 1080Ti to run it and push to 144 fps or close enough

Lovely Video as usual, unfortunate u had no chance on testing a 144 hz monitor regarding the gaming, especially in games like cs:go, fortnite and so on (shooters most likely) it is a big love :p.

i love to buy this monitor for my ps4 pro 4k but my card cannot play 4k it's rx 6600 8gb it can play 2k but is good for my ps4 pro even if i want to play on my pc if i put 1440p will it looks blurry or not?

i have a question this has nothing to do with one of your videos i got a gaming pc i got it 2 months and i have fps drops like its 120 fps then 2 sec later its 0 then 40 60 120 again but i use a tv instead of a monitor. I dont know what to do but you are the best Tech youtuber so im asking you please someone help

I think this monitor only does 60hz whereas the new Xbox is capable of more. It will look good but won't get all out of the new Xbox.

If i got a free sync monitor (and i have a nvidia card) what will happen? Like i've heard that you can get some screen tearing but they are so much more cheaper than g-sync :/

AMD Free-sync won't really work with a Nvidia GPU. And yeah you're right, AMD free-sync is much cheaper than Nvidia's g-sync

My BlackWidow v1 died today after 3 years cause of literally 2 splashes sprite now many keys arent working made me really sad but i bought a used v1 couple of mins ago now i feel better :D Wanted to change it anyway cause my old one is disgusting dirty watched some of your setup vids and also wanted such desk setup next week when i get my money from job i ill order lots a stuff thanks for inspiring :D (ps also getting mamba elite cause mamba te sensor sucks)

I got this monitor and use it for my Xbox one x but everything is greenish you still see red blue or other colors but there is a greenish color over it and can’t get it normally

In my opinion the best gaming monitor is the Asus ROG Swift PG278QR (2560 x 1440, 1ms, G-Sync, 165 Hz) But this Benq one is more than enough for a casual gamer.

What do you mean ? The monitor has a 4K resolution and a 60hz refresh rate meaning FPS is capped to 60. The device you are planning to connect to the monitor needs to be capable to outputting 4K. For example, a PC game would need to support 4K resolution (which all the latest games do). FPS will be determined by the strength of your GPU.

What is the best setting to use? I find the blacks are not black seen washed out or more grey specially at the bottom of the screen, Also i’m on setting user and gamma 0 is it because i’m on xbox one and not using 4K??

You should put the 4k monitor in the middle of the 1080p monitors. and either not use the currnet center monitor or mount it above the centre screen for a nice 4 monitor setup.

Hey bud, if you are looking to game on the Xbox one X or PS4 Pro.. it's not true HDR.. its actually a TN 4k monitor with awful color and angles but excellent response time..

@@TonyAFC85 Hey bud, well it depends.. if ya like playing shooters this BenQ monitor wouldn't be that bad.. but beware, it's only a 9bit gamma and not true HDR.. if you like playing RPGs & action games or even watching movies I'd recommend the LG 27UK650.. more expensive but well worth the price, IPS 10bit color gamma ray with deeper blacks & strong greens.. you can watch a review for it on RU-vid. Good luck bud.

Hi...when I plugged my EL2870U the display gave a 'greyish' black desktop instead of pure black, like it had a reflection on it or something (but the room is dark). Is that normal?

How about that as an overhead? Pick up a monitor Mount and mount it on the top of your middle monitor. Then turn the outer two monitors in potrait mode. Try that out please. Vid request.
