The concept behind long-tube headers is pretty straight forward: improve exhaust flow and the engine makes more horsepower and torque. And gains are typically even greater with aftermarket supercharged setups. However, some late-model vehicles are equipped with such an efficient exhaust system off the showroom floor, that little to no gains are realized with long-tube headers, even with a supercharger in the mix.
