There is a temple in Tsing Yi which is owned by our friend! In this video we will introduce the basic manners and etiquettes of visiting a temple, so you can also know what to do when you visit other temples like those in Wong Tai Sin or Temple Street!

Such a gorgeous little temple, I do visit a couple of the Taoist temples here in Los Angeles, but there was a 3rd one I haven't visited yet but I'll make sure to visit it, along with the other two of course. I really appreciate this video very much. Really would love to visit Hong Kong, if only I had the time, visiting that temple would certainly be worth the trip.

Good video! For what it is worth, in a Buddhist vihara, three incense sticks tend to represent the Buddha, Dharma (Buddha's teachings), and Sangha (traditionally, the monks and nuns, but may include lay followers in a Hinayana denomination). Still three incense sticks, just a different meaning.

Hello. I was compelled to visit my local Temple. It was larger than the one you've shown with many statues inside. I'm a lapse catholic so I was naive of custom but respectful. The men there were welcoming and allowed me a moment with the white haired statue with a Fan. My daughter requested to kneel in front of a large statue with an illuminated disc behind it. We lit the incense and went home. I don't know if I broke any rules but we'll be back with some oranges and ( thanks to you ) a better understanding and connection. Any suggestions for next visit?

Hello Thanks for your comments. I think nowadays temple people are pretty open and welcomed to visitors. I don’t think they would be offended when visitors are not familiar with the traditional rules. as long as you stayed respectful you will be fine.

In your next visit, try to stay at the temple longer, enjoy the decoration and talk to the temple people about the history of it. I guess they would be happy to share.

Yes god of heaven is supposed to be the highest rank. Heaven, earth, people, heaven goes first and people as last one.

Yes they are a cult you probably don,t know anything about Joseph smith the founder of Mormonism aka the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints or why it's directed to a group called the laymanites today they are called native Indians.

Baal and the dragon is the story of the prophet Daniel showing the Babylonian king that food placed on the idol gods alter can,t eat or is alive it is but an idol even wood and stone today you have Moabite Chinese doing the same thing as if a dead person can eat solid food when Israel was taken by the Babylonians Moab and Ammon were taken also to the Far East the Chinese and the Japanese they learned the traditions of the Babylonians worshipping their false gods today you can see who these nations are based on their worship and their gods Baal and the dragon what nation worships the dragon and puts food on their dead family members shrine Chinese Moabites.
@h_chris5527
@h_chris5527 3 года назад
Well the Chinese do not expect the statue to "eat" the offerings. Statues are for focussing thoughts and directing their prayers to higher powers

Stop your fake chritianuty bullshit you people also offer food to a dead person an idol of a crucified creep and fake abrahamic god who didn't have any trace since 2000 years
