M'ha semblat molt interessant saber sobre les llegendes occitanes Admeto que vaig creure que parlaries de (jo crec que és així) la llegenda més coneguda d'Occitania "La bèstia de Gévaudan" 😅 però al final ha estat millor. Molt bon vídeo :) Creo que empezaré a aprender occitano, quizá se me haga un poco más fácil porque hablo un poco de catalán y un poco de francés Saludos desde México 🙋🏽♂🇲🇽🦋

Coneissi lo matagòt en provença coma lo tieu matagos, un raubaire de cauvas dau quòtidian :) Dins centre Var fin qu'ad la mar (Pignan - La Sanha de mar).
De cavals blancs fantaumatics, n'i a tanben en çò nòstre en Morbihan (mas ai pas ausit dire que tiravan los mainatges). Lo Matagot s'apèla en çò nòstre lo "Poupon Argant" (lo nenet d'argent). Los leberons son coneguts tanben, los apèlan "lougared". I a una diferéncia, en çò nòstre, es lo qu'a pas comuniat pendent 7 ans que se transforma en leberons la nuèch. Se li pòt tornar sa forma umana en o nafrant ambe un objècte ponchut o talhant de fèrre.
Fòrça bona vidèo ! Sèm totjorn a dire (ieu en cap) qu'en França avèm pas mai de bestiari de folklòre, levat en Bretanha. M'agrada fòrça de n'aprene mai (de n'aprene tot cort) sus elas !

Is the encantada also part of occitan folklore ? I know this is a random question but I've been listening to Occitan music (specifically a band called la talvera) One of their titles is n'i a pro gadan. Do you know what n'i a pro gadan would mean in English?
"Gadan" is a world they found in occitan valleys in Italy. It means something like "brigand" or "good for nothing". "N'i a pro gadan!" means "That's enough brigand!"
@@adamferencszi797 I don't know wether it exists or not in piedmontese, it may have appeared in occitan valleys as well; but for sure those langages are quite similar. I speak languedocian occitan (same dialect than la Talvera), but I understand most of what north italian speakers say.
@@maignialfrancois8170 mercès plan! Thank you. I think languedocien is probably my favorite dialect of Occitan. By the way, did you end up speaking it when you were growing up or did you have to go to an occitan teaching school? I traveled to see the Cathar castles last summer hoping to find some occitan speakers but there weren't any other than the signs and names of places. I stumbled upon this nice elderly gentleman at la pradelle by the castle of puilaurens. He said that there was still a small village that spoke occitan but they were mostly elderly folk. I forgot the name of the village. Our conversation was in french. I have one small question because most of the talvera's songs have no English translation and I speak French but not fluently... There's this part of a song called ciutadans de la terrà enteira. And it goes like this... Entre doàs mars i aviá un pòble Era pas pièger que los autres Amb una sola differéncia Se languissiá al seu ostal. What does se languissiá mean ? In french it's given as il s'ennuyait dans ses frontières. I'm not familiar with other meanings of s'ennuyer other than...to be bored or to annoy.
That's the right translation! "Languir" means "to get bored". If you need other occitan-to-french translation i advise you to have a look on revirada.eu, it's a really good tool :)
