People fight over every aspect of nutrition, except one: We need lots of "nutrients."
Cool, cool.
But hold up, what are "nutrients," exactly? What does "nutrient-dense" or "nutritious" actually mean?
Defined & explained in under 5 min.

The content here is worth years of university learning. I’m going to go through each one of the videos before I ask you any stupid “Instagram” question. Thank you so much. Please keep them coming 🙏

I'll ask a stupid question now! Do they teach this at university?

Not sure if you read comments but I watch all of your videos. I really liked the 25 min phys of carbs, fats and proteins. You made the plate example of 1/3 calorie comparisons and errors. I would love if you had more food reccomendations. I know diet is very individual but it would be awesome if you had a "top meals" and examples of fighters and what they ate. On a podcast you mentioned bakers vs cooks metaphor and I'm definitely more of a baker when it comes to what I should eat. Any suggestions would help and the quantities are already outlined in your videos. If anyone else reads I'd love to hear your favorite meals!

My favorite staple to make sure I get some nutrients is Rhonda Patrick's smoothie with lots of olive oil (Dr. Gundry recommended.) Then I consume 2-3 g/kg body weight of protein for a couple days following resistance training per Dr. Gabrielle Lyon. This is kind of a mix of the experts' opinions. But these are people I have found very helpful.

Great content in your Podcasts and I appreciate it for your time and effort. I have more recently started learning about ionised water and its health benefits. Besides your podcast I do listen a few other quality Podcasters. I’ve never heard (or maybe I missed) any discussion regarding ionised water and its health benefits. I’d appreciate if you could consider this topic.

I did my own research on the topic years ago and tried to stick to an optimal diet where I was getting sufficient amounts of everything through food daily, but man it was difficult.

I bet it was! Since topsoil that commercial food is grown in doesn't have all the nutrients in it, sourcing healthy food is hard huh?

@@billytheweasel hi from bread from stone is a great read well documented in the 1800 century mineral loss in top soil. . My pumpkin growing in Crusher dust was better than the soil original used, how can this be. As Crusher dust has very high pH, as high as 8.5+. Still trying to work this out.

@@satrah101 Wow. I picked up on how important topsoil was from a history prof, of all places. He started the course by stating; all that humans have done would not have been possible without 3" of fertile topsoil. That was many years ago. Also, a guy named Paul Check was on that case in more recent years. We've been composting dead dirt into topsoil since.

I suffered from chronic constipation for around 5-6 years, was cured with a no fibre diet. Bowel movements are now regular and easy. A lot of others are doing the same, don't believe that fibre is essential or important. Look into the research.

Do you have an idea on this? 16 years ago I had ACL surgery and that leg (right) was very slow to recover, generally,. Despite years of moderate resistance training, my calf did not strengthen as much as the left one. The right calf muscle is also very noticeably shorter. (I used to run up mountains and had very well developed leg muscles.) Recently, I went ahead and snapped both ACLs, underwent ACL replacement surgery for both, and I am currently building back both leg muscles. My right calf still is slow to build back muscle while all other leg muscles on both sides are building back at a reasonable rate. I have consulted with physical therapists and surgeons. None of them have a recommendation on what to do. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi Andy, I read, lifting weights can breakdown mitochondria. If this is true, then how does a road racing cyclist implement a weight training program without breaking down all the mitochondria gains from a summer of endurance riding.

Who had this idea to speed the voice up, bringing the pitch and formant up... I love and know the speaker, and now it's terribly distracting.

If there are phytochemicals worth mentioning, wouldn’t that insinuate that there are chemicals strictly found in animal foods that could be considered important?

Phytonutrients and fiber are "necessary" !? Not even for wellbeing 😂 Might want to backup ridiculous claims with studies instead of stating them as "facts" off hand.... makes you sound like a vegetarian or some flat earther.
