Very Nice .....Glad to see some still doing business and not afraid to spend $$$$ in the trucking industry.....and you can't go wrong with a "Peterbilt Steve" truck....First Class all the way 👍.
Got 389 from same dealership in july 2022. Since day one the keyfob/ central locking blowing fuses. Left it at Rush Fontana twice for 5-10 dats each. They changed the fuse only at first time and it blew right in the dealership. And at second time they said it was a software glitch and they updated it. And changed the harness, saying its fixed now. I went to receive and it again blew the fuse in dealership at that time. I told them they said to leave it for another 10-15 days. I cant afford it as this is the only working horse. I kept in contact with chuck Roberts and was kept in good faith that when ever u have time take it to dealership and we gone fix it in warranty. I went India for 5 months due to dad unexpected illness and death. Came back and started working again. Left the rig again after taking to chuck that this time if rush fontana didnt fixed it i should have to come to tulsa dealership for fixing the central locking. I went there and as-usual got denied with warranty services. The history of vehicle shows the job stayed open and the fault was from first day. Now no way to pay out of pocket as i was feeling it will be fixed as it was company fault. U happy with the product quality and customer services. Sorry to say but dats the reality everybody want bog chunk from Truckers pocket. Feeling hurted.😢
You guys need to send this to your buddy who painted the hatch. Get it painted, get the interior dialled in, get the suspension fixed, patch up all the issues and let the next video on this be the most epic completed flawless unique build ever. Don’t chill, make this awesome.
I love ❤how humble you are & a salesman who love what they do my current was built by Clint Moore but I’m so happy to see someone else in this industry that know there 💩 I’ll definitely be giving you a call on my next build 👍🏾
What a beautiful Fleet! The Silver one is my favorite, but they are all sharp looking! Trucks look well done, Talk about class, Thanks for posting this,Well done!
Oh my lord!!! Steve, what ever you pay your paint and body guys, its not enough! They KILLED IT with the paint jobs. The only complaint I would have is being a Dodger fan, the Blue with white stripes, I would have gone with red pin stripes instead of the black pin stripes, but you would not have to hold a gun to my head to take it. I love it, hell, I would take any of them. In my world, if I had the money, while custom painted frames are nice, but the advantage of the black frame is when you have to replace components, IE,.. brakes, springs, etc., the replacement parts come in black, so they match the black frame. As to the aero cab lights, I always thought they are cool. They have an advantage of less chrome to keep polished. Less time climbing up to keep them polished. I have always wondered how they would look if the chrome on the aero lights were painted to match the truck paint, or painted black, so not to have the bother of keeping up on the polish? Again, you and your guys killed this project! If this guy decides he does not want one of them, call me.... Please!
Great video Steve I have watched a ton of your videos and all of them are great if I were in the truck market I would want you to build it you really seem like you care a lot for your customers and I know a lot of it is your pride for a job well done I’m really sad to see the 389 go such a classic and a beautiful ride I never thought peterbuilt would ever stop making long hoods but there is a ton of things going on nowadays that I thought I would never ever see and I’m 56 years old so what a shame god bless you Steve I wish you the best and merry Christmas sir
Whatta beautiful Inventory of Peterbilt,s! that silver one is one gorgeous truck. I like the low back seat,s there way better than high back seat,s! Plus a rubber floor mat way better than carpet! A very nice looking paint combo orange frame with painted stripes on the cab and the bunk with the purple stripe,s, they don't get any nicer than these here. The new owners are going to have one awesome fleet of PETERCAR,S 👍🏽
Peterbilt really Shot Themselves in the Foot with this Ending of The 389EXHD, just like they did with the Digital Dash! Lot of Loyal Classic Truck Customers are going to be Trying Other Brands!
Beautiful trucks! I've been thinking about painting my tanks and wanted to know if you are using a base coat clear or single stage paint and what brand paint you use any help would be greatly appreciated.
With all the custom painting I’m really surprised that the customer didn’t have either single axle or dual axle fenders installed to keep the backsplash from happening
Just a little thing but I could never understand why so many painters will paint two colors over a rivet when it's possible to lay out the scheme one way or another a tad to not do that. At least it's paint & not a rap. When a rap in even one cover goes over half of a rivet but not the other half, that looks like crap & will only get worse a year or two. That is a very nice paint scheme on a 389 in any colors. just one my pet peeves. At $250,000 plus the little things would matter to me.
Discontinuing the 389 is Paccars way of starting to dig the grave for the peterbilt brand. Pretty soon all they will be selling are DAF trucks here in the states
