Honestly I sincerely wish someone had told me along the way that I needed to ask more questions before signing up to be a vendor at farmers markets, popups and other markets\events. I'm a pretty trusting person and I guess I just assume that if a market is charging $100+ to be a vendor... they must know what they're doing and it must be a good event right? (Unfortunately very wrong...)
These are 5 questions I now ask before signing up or paying for an event to know whether the event will really be worth it or not. Let me know if there are any important questions you ask before signing up for an event! (Also want to clarify that not all of these are "dealbreaker questions" but they're still good to know so you can make an informed decision on whether a particular event will be right for you and your business.

Definitely some good advice! Now i wait to see if my boring little town and surrounding areas will actually do anything 😅 it’s rough here, unless I want to drive an absurd amount of time, however the questions you brought up are definitely worth asking and me taking notes , just in case. Thanks for another great & informative video 😊

I totally understand! I’m originally from a teeny tiny town in Indiana! They just started to do 1 market a year like 3 years ago… and I think it’s been canceled the past 2 years! 😅😀🥴🤣 Glad it helped!! Hopefully you get to use it someday! Lol! Thanks for being here! ❤️

Correct…… signed up for 2 events years ago. One was not really advertised and no one but the vendors showed up…. No traffic what so ever

Oh no!!! That’s such a bummer! There are definitely some better events out there, they’re just hard to find some time! Haha!

so I signed up for a established market 1st time and a few days after changed from afternoon market to the morning market. I don't sell food. So I'd guess that afternoon are better markets. Thoughts about this?

Sorry I'm not really sure what you mean. Like they had a morning and afternoon option or was it 2 different markets? I've done both morning and afternoon and I wouldn't necessarily say one is better than the other. Generally speaking mornings will draw the older crowd, afternoon will draw a younger crowd. But that's just a generalization, not exactly like a reason to do one or the other.

They switched hours but sane market. I do tend to attract 35+ crowd so might be good

Oh gotchya! Yeah it should still be a decent market if it was before! Changing the time isn’t usually a big deal as long as people know before hand. Haha!

Have you had experience or any opinion to be a vendor in outdoor Cancer walk events ? They are usually crowded but I’m not sure they are in there to shop other stuff besides food and event related T-shirts.

I don't have any experience with those unfortunately so I'm not sure!
