5 Scary TRUE Night Shift/Alone at Work Horror Stories 

1st story: He got fired for following policy & even made several reports about security concerns throughout the whole time. He should sue them, that’s messed up.

It’s honestly ridiculous that the guy in the first story was fired when it was the owner of the building’s fault that they didn’t do anything about that door even after receiving complaints. I would’ve sued had I been him.

Story 1: I really wished that after being fired, he sued the company. Since he reported the possible danger, the company ignored it, and then he was forced to enter the room because of their policy about picking up trash. That’s an unfair dismissal and they put him in danger. A lawyer would have a field day with that case. I know the story could have been made up, but if anyone is in a situation like that, please don’t just ignore it. You don’t owe your company anything, especially when they’re ignoring your concerns and putting you in danger. Story 3: Why drop the charges???

"I finally cared about the wellbeing of someone other than myself" had me dead

To the person in story two, Call the police earlier, if they are illegally loitering and drinking in public you can call the police as soon as you see it, just go into a backrooms quickly and do it out of sight.

That 4th story was legit terrifying. Dunno if it was real or not but that was entertaining to listen to!

This guy is putting out bangers nightly.

I remember working as a night guard, at an animatronic character themed pizzeria. I was lucky to survive those five nights…

Story 2 reminds me of my boyfriend. He works at a gas station and one day him and his manager were working. A guy came in to steal a bunch of products, like alcohol, cigarettes and other things and when the manager confronted him, she got pepper sprayed along with my bf who noticed what was going on. The police were called but they were slow to get there and he got away. My bf and the manager had to give statements to the police and my bf said that his manager is probably gonna move locations since she was directly sprayed in the eyes and feared for her safety, while my bf was sprayed away from his eyes but was still sprayed. Unfortunately because of his works policy, they can do nothing to defend the products or fight back against the customer. No pepper spray, baton, concealed carry gun, knuckle brace, etc. They can't defend themselves. Sometimes my bf has late night shifts where he works by himself and a bunch of crackheads come in and make a mess of the place. One night my bf was even held at gunpoint. Whenever he tells me these stories I get so worried about his safety but he hopes by next year he'll get a promotion and get moved to a different location. While the pay is good, no job is worth prioritizing over yourself or your safety. The fact that there are policies in place to protect criminals over employees is sickening. My bf's only potential "defense" he's found is having a laser pointer to blind people and calling the police who might as well be turtles.

Op in first story in my opinion could have sued the employer for wrongful termination since they knew about the door not being able to be opened up from the inside and didn't do anything about it

Story three made me laugh I’m sorry. “Time to bang the barista.” Caught me off guard so hard.

Story one is crazy. Security losing his job while he was basically held hostage or against his will at work for hours in an area he warned his superiors I would definitely be calling my lawyer and along with the thousands of dollars that the management had to reimburse they would be paying my lawyer fees my therapy and pain and suffering my bills need paid too while I'm trying to recover from the trauma and being fired with no income 😂😮😂 they would probably have to sell the building after my lawyer was done😂😂😂😂

The ending to story 4 was nuts!

Story 3- Decided to drop the charges!? Thats almost just as bad as giving him permission to do this to someone else. Ugh. It's not a popular opinion, and even though it's true that fault is 100% on the perpetrators, but cowards are so frustrating! And lazy people who "just don't feel like dealing with it" are infuriating!

Honestly how dare that lady drop the charges against nick. I can guarantee you he went on to victimize someone else

Buddy in the first story had every right to keep that job, what was he supposed to do being locked in and no service? The person in the 2nd story was a complete idiot who should have had better training and lost their job. Stupid to deny a sale only a couple minutes into 2am especially to a gang member looking dude. Your life is worth more than a case of beer. And should have called the police once he started to loiter. It’s not safe to work any job alone at night. Some companies are cheap and don’t wanna pay more than one person for the job. 🤦🏻‍♀️ If your safety doesn’t come first. Quit, loads of other jobs out there.

you never go outside and confront people drinking in public. instead just call the non emergency number for the police and report it, or go straight to 911. its never worth the hassle
