You should have listed Dr. Robert Lustig history which is impressive. I feel he speaks very well. I just don't agree with his message approach on a calorie is not a calorie like with his example on nuts because I would be leaner so it's ok to disagree when you have results. I started watching these videos to see if my approach was going in the cirrect direction & I compare what's said looking at my families history too. Who knew my parents were doing the right think all along. I do pass on a lot of the information as were all a bit different. Until you understand what macros you consume, the nutrients with vitamins & minerals you may be missing, you can't get to optimal health as you age. I'm 63 now. I mentioned in past I cut my carb's mostly with bread changes & still enjoy them, cut my sugar a 3 yr journey now my total sugar - fiber is at net -1 & increased fiber to 45g daily on my food selections. At the same time with low cal foods. I still enjoy the foods as much as the past so no sacrifice on taste. 😋 Last year on my physical my #'s were mostly optimal going back 34 yr's! Wow 👀 I was getting some elevated #'s in past yr's & I decided to fix the issue's vs saying I just ate this & thats why. This past yr I slowly replace my only added sugar I put in coffee's ☕ with allulose (all others are not equal) & I'm dropping dextrose (1.5x the sugar) item's that seems to be in lots of stuff now 🙆♂️ so I'll be interested to see how my #'s improve this Nov 2024 blood wook. I'm looking for A++🏅 report. I hope this might help some of your followers. I took it slow changing the worst item one at a time & last yr started to make my own pizzas. A game changer controlling ingredients vs picking up at a 🍕 shop. You just don't know the volume of salt, sugar & cheese your getting. Good luck on your journey. 🍀
In my opinion, the food industry responded to the dietary guidelines and decided to create the low fat foods, that we agree are toxic. I think it was a mistake for the government to get involved with the food pyramid. This food pyramid recommended that we limit eating foods that were satiating and increase eating foods that weren't satiating. I don't think that the food manufacturers are angels, but I think that government interference is the main cause of our obesity epidemic. By the way, whole milk tastes better than skim milk and butter tastes better than margarine. Ironic, isn't it?
