I guess im asking randomly but does anyone know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account? I was dumb lost the account password. I would love any assistance you can give me!
Good video, man, Thanks. The reason BMW.s need higher octane rating is because they generally use higher cylinder compression ratios (Gives more power for a given engine size). Lower octane fuel ignites under the pressure (like a diesel) before the piston is in the right place. This robs power, makes odd noises, and damages engines. Dude, you bought a premium badge with premium engineering and performance. You have to accept it needs premium fluids. Oil leaks are usually the result of rapid temperature changes, so don't jump into a cold BMW and give it the beans straightaway. Run it gently for a couple of miles first, then nail it. When you are done, drive it gently for a couple of miles before shutting it off. I have an M60 540i 4.4L V8 and it does not leak a drop of oil. Later engines introduced more aluminium components (different thermal expansion rate), and I believe this is what brought about things like rocker box leaks. Warm it up and give it cool-down run is the best I can tell you. Oh, please go ahead and do an oil change video for folks. It is easy and will save you a ton of cash. Mobil1 every 5-6,000 miles. When my car gets too tatty, I am gonna but the engine in a boat. My buddy did this and holy shit! His modified 'fishing boat' blows speed boats out of the water. Fewer rev changes too so it will last a really long time.
I beat my N55 X5 as well lmao and I have never had a blowby or burning issue when I change the oil at 7000. She never uses a single drop of oil. The car has 90,000 miles on it. I run mobile European Formula (0-40) btw. Keep up the videos and greetings from Nashville TN!
I disagree with having an oil change at 5K. I have a 2014 335i F30 owned it for a few years now and I live in Chicago, so I pretty much deal with crazy weather and road condition. My car has't had major issues without getting an oil change at 5K. I understand the whole idea of maintaining your car but 5K is way too soon since we all use synthetic oil (I hope) and that will be such a waste of money yearly IMO. However, I do agree that BMW gets oil leaks easily. My friend who owns a 2014 F30 328XI gets an oil change every 5K and got an oil leaks 6 months ago. My car just go an oil leaks a few weeks ago : (
Dude n55 is different story than n20/n26. the n20/n26 motor is notorious for suffering with a timing chain issue and to prevent the chances of that going out, get your oil change every 5k. Especially if you drive in city a lot. I will do it every 3k because I'm more rough on my motor, and do lots of random pulls and revs. Everyone who followed the 10k oil change interval suffered from timing chain issue after 70k. Not a waste of money on 328. The motor needs more oil then what is advised. Having cleaner oil in your car as much as possible, for most of its time being driven is never going to be a waste lol.
In my opinion it's from owners that don't maintain them and ignorant people that have never owned a bmw bashing them saying their trash which in some cases, scare others away from the brand.
NGF-F30 yes what you said is absolute true. I was 100% scare when first time decided to buy BMW X3 2016. So far so good, I am extremely happy with my X3.
You should've added the screen text for your list because the video was mainly a rant and kind of unorganized. Also, you can put 87-89 but over time it will not be good for your fuel efficiency which is why you should go with the recommended 91 and your engine may start to knock. Also 6-7k miles for an oil change is honestly okay or every 6 months, which ever comes first. Good video overall, thought I could provide some feedback.
"Before the switch to fuel injection and computerized controls, engines were subject to damage from prolonged knocking. But today’s engine management systems incorporate electronic knock sensors, which detect the condition and adjust the ignition to stop the problem. As a result, it is almost impossible to hurt a current engine by using 87-octane fuel, industry experts say." -The New York Times. In other words you can use 87 gas but it'll reduce your performance by 2%.
a few words: 1. if you're buying used, mess with every single window switch possible to ensure that they all work properly. 2. don't buy an f30 without the m sport bumpers. just get a honda or vw. 3. same goes with any 17" rims on f30s. don't do it.
Nice video man! I thought you said you weren't going to make too many more vids since you got a new job with weird hours? Lol I have a 2013 328i xdrive sport line. Got it for a nice deal last summer. Its in great condition - Melbourne red. No mods yet. Like to do some minor things. Can you recommend 3 things you would do? I like your lip spoiler.
Yo E Swift what good bro. I just saw you 20 mins ago at Avaitor parking lot in Brooklyn. I was the dude in the black 328i with glasses and walkie talkie. Bro ur car sound awesome. I have a question what is ur wheel set up??
beeweezee718 LOL, i was too busy tryna find a spot to finish my video, it was crowded over there today. I don’t remember seeing you man, next time try and say hi i dont bite! Lol. I made a video about the wheels, the video is named “I got rep wheels for winter...” all the info is there!
Ricky A The injen intake does the job of a blow off valve already. Its loud as it is, i dont need one, most people are better off getting the intake cause of how the diverter valve works in these cars
I have my 2014 320i. 26000 miles had to change the water pump last year and this year had a engine light..turns out needed a new thermostat. Recommend any good shops in queens NY?
What do you think about the xtune angel eyes for f30s? They’re super cheap and I think they look cooler than oem. I was thinking of taking it to Mike to get them installed.
Shumile Swift e34 rear diff, brakes from a 540. Built the m20b27 at 240k miles. 160whp thrashing it for 90k miles. M50 block is slowly being built. M20 still runs so im not in a hurry.
#6 know what model you’re buying before you buy it. Don’t be this guy and buy a 328 and try to make it look like an m3. The same kinda guy to turn a fiero into a Lamborghini and flex lol.
you should know bmws are shit , bought a bmw last month and its now having trouble starting due to electric issues and took it to a local bmw indy to figure it out so far, I think he'll find it out though since he was recommended to me on a online forum and got good reviews
Neil542 Just cause you got unlucky with one does not make them all shit. I have 3, and they consistently have the same problems, but theyre nothing crazy out of the ordinary, just small leaks
