Cheers for the Video clip! Apologies for butting in, I am interested in your thoughts. Have you researched - Tansaiah Voiceless Transcendence (do a google search)? It is a smashing one of a kind guide for getting free online traffic and make money without the hard work. Ive heard some super things about it and my mate at very last got cool results with it.

Many thanks, I been tryin to find out about "what are the qualities of good public speaker?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Ganlizabetharn Glorious Gratification - (do a search on google ) ? It is a great exclusive guide for discovering how to master public speaking without the hard work. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my colleague got excellent results with it.

extra tips a. fix your posture b. don't soft speak c. look confident d. interact with the audience e. get the crowd to laugh (have a good sense of humor)
@darkeyedgirl005
@darkeyedgirl005 7 лет назад
For the last one, engaging the audience is key. Whether it's with a sense of humor or a new perspective on the topic, a sharp wit can engage the audience in ways a sense of humor might not. Talking from a place of genuine care and respect will also keep an audience in the conversation.

For once, in my 24 years of lurking in the dark that I am now ready to take public speaking seriously. It's a skill that's is applicable in almost everything we do and it opens up a lot of opportunities. Your introvert story has inspired me to put practice in how I speak and present myself. It's going to be a long journey to recondition myself but I have confidence that I can do it.

I have watched quite a lot of dealing with speaking in public, because I get so nervous and when I get up to the front of the room I start getting scared and embarrassed, it makes me fiddle with things, move my feet around or all my confidence drops. This video and others have giving me points on how to deal with it.

I really think that you should add another tip, one which I've really found useful in improving my public speaking. It is increasing your vocabulary, your arsenal of words when describing how you feel. I used to use the word "nice" a lot as a reaction to a lot of issues coming up to me. After a long time, when I've become self aware of it, I forced myself to stop using it and to describe myself with other meaningful words. It really helped me a lot.

Great Lesson!! I think practicing your speech in a mirror or video recording is under valued today. I've met many sales people that just "wing it" but when I met a seasoned sales person and to hear his presentation it turned my mind around. I'm an analytical person and to hear a well practiced speech fits my style. I'll be looking for more of your videos, thanks for the contribution!

before, i can't express myself to other people because i am not knowledgeable of the English language. What I did is I KEEP on practicing everyday. I listened to English podcast 2 hours a day then speaking in front of the mirror at least 30 minutes a day! I've been doing it almost 1 year. Now, i can talk and freely expressed my ideas or anything inside my mind to anyone.I become fluent in English as my second language. People started to ask me how did i make it! and I told them just give enough time, be serious and passionate on what you are doing. Now i'm enjoying myself talking to some native speakers of English! Thank you for this video! very cool and helpful!

I can sense this in my imagination. I want to start giving talks on holistic cures for cancer and degenerative diseases to groups. I am getting requests to speak but I never spoke in front of people. BTW I love mens fashion. I could design cool stuff for men all day long. Project Funway... San Diego style. But I'm just a computer geek with a twist for health and wellness. I just want to say a quick thank you. I watched this video last Monday and I have had two presentations since then. I've always had a massive fear of public speaking and your explanation of how you need to practice, practice, practice and record yourself so you can play it back really helped me a lot. Both presentations went really well, they were peer marked and most of the people I spoke to marked them highly :P Thanks again for the advice.

It's funny to see that people who have the same problem usually arrive at the same solutions to that problem. I was very shy and that was a big problem for me at university. Unfortunately we all have what here in Portugal we call "amigos de Peniche" or translated "friends from Peniche" meaning those people that linger around us but don't want that good things happen to us. Probably there is a similar expression in English. Well these friends from Peniche - by the way Peniche is a very lovely town in Portugal - gave me wrong advice to deal with this problem and I fell hard on the floor and damaged my grades. I started to read a lot in front of a mirror and correcting my movements, my expressions and posture. I evolved and got really good but I think there's always space for improvement. You're doing a great job with your videos. Don't stop!

These are excellent tips! The best advice I have is to visualize yourself doing well. So often we let our nerves get the best of us because we are imagining the worst-case scenario (like forgetting what we are going to say) but you have to imagine a standing ovation at the end of your presentation after you crush it.

I like to watch what speakers/presenters do with their hands, and you articulate and express very well with yours. Interestingly, I noticed that when your hands are momentarily at rest, you go for your ring - I'll call it, "putting on the ring." Is this an intentional rest point for your hands, or is it a subconscious go-to pause-spot? Thanks for the video and take care!

1/ Practice. Put as many videos as possible. He has put well over 200 videos, plus he has deleted other hundreds and hundreds that he didn’t like. 2/ Listen. Read every single comment, people and learn from them. 3/ Record and Watch. We are our worst critic, and its going to be painful at first. Be aware of the crutch words that you use, etc.. and improve. 4/ Be honest with yourself. 5/ Know your audience and subject. Don’t let this hold you back, but learn as much as possible. 6/ Carry Notes. You can use a white board in front of you for the main points or some notes if necessary.

your #4. I had to laugh because I feel I am the worst! I have always been the one to "be the background worker, don't put me in the spot light AT ALL" type of person but now the Lord seems to be pushing me to public speaking to reach such a huge amount of people for such a wonderful cause. So your video is helping me already. I tend to freeze up on top of being from the south doesn't help much. lol. I do pretty well on the phone but again I'm from the south! I am very conscious of my accent because everyone I speak with can hear my accent and this does bother me a great deal. YES WOMEN NEED HELP WITH THIS ALSO!! One last thing I've learned from a good friend is to BREATHE! I tend to hold my breath when I'm nervous and speak really fast. I need alot of work. "BIG HUGE SIGH". THANKS AGAIN!!

I am scared to death for this public speaking class I'm about to take next month.I'm trying to prepare now.I have really bad panic attacks and I tend to laugh a lot as they occur.I'll try to make a speech or something and record myself just to we where I stand,

I think it's important to stay natural and not try to do "clean" what you haven't practiced enough. Everyone remembers how irritating it is to listen to someone who's jumping out of his socks to get you on his side. It opens a whole specter of negative impressions like brown-nosing, demagogy, suppression, desperation or fogginess. When people get this bit of idea you're trying to brain-wash them they turn seriously negative. So it's barely possible to get people on your side with a speech but it's very easy to lose trust hearing any false notes caused by orator's attempts to needlessly improve his words. So I think for public speaking it's important to stay simple, informative and, to not have problems with repeating words, using crutch words or stumbling, try to speak slow and clear.

You are right. As simpler your words are , easier to listen and understand your words become.

Ever met a pyramid scheme spokesman that is very loud and overly enthusiastic? I don't trust people that are like that.

Slow down your speaking. Work on individual sounds and words. Break down sentences into small groups of two or three words. Work on each group of words separately… through repetition, exercising your tongue and your mouth as muscles, to make them fit. Then gradually join the word groups together, two groups, then three groups etc. Slowing down is important and lets you hear everything you are doing, so you can decide what your problem is. Then work on the exercises - single words, pairs of words, etc etc all the way up.

Recite poetry out loud and over-enunciate the words. I'm a preacher and I had the same problem. This fixed it.

Thank you for this! I wanted to start a youtube channel and realised how much I stutter and how mundane my voice generally sounds when I recorded myself. I feel like I need to practice a lot! Will be checking out your other videos to see what else I can learn.

I actually spoke one in a big audience, I don't have any clue what was wrong with me that night but i gave a long speak like i was talking to my friends which i didn't expect. i am just concerned about career and after i graduate. English isn't my first language but was my language for three years. I put on to work and learn every day.
