When you said space can feel luxurious, it made me think of a lightbulb moment AGES ago when professional organizer Peter Walsh told a collector/hoarder on a TV show, who insisted everything he owned was valuable, Peter simply said, "Space has value too." So simple but changed my life. Really was a pivotal moment. Space has value too.

Great video. Will be the permission needed or the gentle reminder for many of us to invest in ourselves. I'm the youngest of 8, and when a young adult I was asked by older siblings how I could afford this or that. Truth was I bag lunched, didn't get my hair or nails done, used very little and inexpensive makeup and lotions and potions. I didn't smoke (most did), I didn't subscribe to fashion, bought solid wood furniture (my son asked me how I was able to have the same furniture last his whole life...that's how) and so on. I saw from them how mindless spending, like mindless eating, can actually rob you of happiness. I've gone down the rabbit hole myself a few times until I got to know who I am. And like you pointed out, little things done every day can feel luxurious, making what you touch everyday beautiful can sometimes cost only a few dollars and creativity. Great reminder to thrive not just survive .
