G-Toxtricity's shield dex entry reads: "Out of control after its own poison penetrated its brain, it tears across the land in a rampage, contaminating the earth with toxic sweat." It was probably the most problematic pokemon during the Darkest Day, hence the Geogylph.
VibohZK if you used them or caught a Pokémon that you fight the G-Form against you can just see them in the Pokedex. Just go on the normal Pokémon and press right. There you can see other forms of the Pokémon.
i actually did find an explanation for this. irl moth larvae eat a TON in preparation for metamorphosis, and adult moths actually dont have mouths, which is why frosmoth only gets the tiny spoonfull of curry while snom gets the giant plate. frosmoth literally cant eat but it still tries just to humor its trainer.
I don’t buy it personally..why would they render it live like that? I think, if anything, its a mess up. Somebody probibly rendered it without a tail. CGI takes hours to render and I doubt they could render that level of detail instantly. I could be wrong, but Gamefreak has been known to give excuses that aren’t accurate, to cover the real reasons for some reason.
@@appletherapy3492 they only spent about a year on this. Theres tons of mistakes in the animation, like especially the fact when your partner pokemom taste tests the curry, there is no bowl despite the pokemon looking like its holding a bowl.
@@goldybays8654 Actually, there are more Pokémon that hold stuff...in the way they held the stuff you could feed them in Gen 5 and 6. But some can't hold it. had they more time, some might actually be holding it and others not, but well, it just came out too soon. Would've needed another year or so and could've become the greatest Pokémon game imho, but that didn't happen, sadly. So for me that's still ORAS.
The movies and the anime aren't connected anymore, so I don't think it will be shown in a movie. All of the movies after the XY anime are separate stories.
@@AlexTheDoggoMaster the anime and the games will always be connected in some shape or form. The enemy usually picks up Mysteries that the games don't explain so yeah you can always look to the anime for if there's something up and you want to know about certain mysteries in the games.
I want the mystery solved as to why Gamefreak did not market this as a type of Leggie mon and make its Speed base 123??! Wow, they were so stingy with the BSTs of Pokemon this gen, many barely top 500!!
The reason there isn’t any mythical Pokémon in the dex is because they can just update the game now and add more Pokémon. They want to keep more secrets now
As for the fossils, it's based off fossil discovery in England where fossils there were found in bits and pieces so paleontologists at the time tried their best to just put the fossils together to make something and got weird results from it. The Galar fossils are based off that entire concept of taking two fossils and just putting them together even if they aren't from the same animal. It was a careless thing to do at the time when fossils were just being discovered for the first time. It's also why the scientist's name is Cara Liss (careless) as she just takes two peices of a fossil and revives it for you. lol
Especially the text she has for you to revive it. She stresses what is interesting to her, and what captivates her, not if they're right. It is so much like the beginning paleontologists, and the crystal palace drawings. I love that they added this in, it is so interesting to see things based in reality.
-Tail-less ponyta? Mystery for the ages -The mystery of why the legend of the Heroes was reduced from 2 heroes to a single hero statue even though hammerlocke and motostoke are only a couple miles from each other? Clearly not as important.
That’s something I was thinking about, too. How the heck did people all across the region not know it was two heroes, despite evidence that there were 2 being fairly common across the region? I don’t get it other than bad writing.
1: Tailless Ponyta was a Mistake 2: They're Electric Types, it's possible they were the Light and something happened, like Ampharos from Johto 3: Probably will be Patched in, as to not have it spoiled for us, though I am aware there's that in the games for things we can't get yet, apart from Gigantamax Melmetal all Pokemon not in the dex but in the code can be transferred forwards, as for Melmetal it's obvious it will be event of some kind. 4: Those original forms would be pretty cool. 5: It's a Gigantamax Toxtricity. The answer is easy. It's basically this Gens Lucario, the Pokemon is clearly special.
Still if it really is to be gigantamax toxtricity thats depicted on the geoglyph than who in the world would draw it like that. Except for the spikes, and the tail that thing looks nothing like it.
Ben Rhodes it also could be gmax melmetal ,it’s also skinny with big hands and feet, and has one big eye, and the small Pokemon around it could be meltan
3:56 more mysterious than the Toxtricity statues is the man on the top of the lighthouse with a Wingull staring to him. It's an npc that we can't reach to since the stairs to entrance of the lighthouse are blocked.
Veinera no it’s different mishap is just a shape that looks different (like a rectangle looking like a triangle) plus graphical mishap is literally not a real word and error is the term used for video games and is a *real* term.
I feel like the Toxtricity thing is a reference to the Olivine Lighthouse from Gen 2. In those games, another electric type, Ampharos, was the keeper of the lighthouse. It could be a little nod to it.
My guess with Toxtricity is they were able to light up the lighthouse. They are the most iconic Electric types of their region, same Ampharos in Johto. I mean these games do have some odd similarities to the Johto games. Both regions are the only ones without Electric masters, making SwSh the only game without one. Which is interesting considering the importance of Toxtricity, who would doubtless be the ace of the Electric master id there were one. Also the Statue of the Lone Hero is never explained.
The single hero represents the doggos. The royal family covered up the truth and made the single hero so that people think they were responsible for saving galar from the darkest day. I think.....
My speculation: A Gigantamax Toxtricity was the key player in the Darkest Day and caused the most damage. Another Toxtricity also got Gigantamax'd but, instead of joining the other in causing damage, it regained control of itself and calmed the other. From there, the two worked together to counter and put a stop to natural disasters that were caused by the uncontrolled Gigantamax situation, which included saving the lighthouse from being destroyed by a, unparalleled storm with their electricity. So, although one Toxtricity caused the problem in the first place, in joining forces with another like itself, it put a stop to the problems that would have changed Galarian life as we know it. That's just what I came up with in a few minutes.
And that's why there are two forms with different natures. We see you, Pokemon. 😑 Honestly I was very curious as to why it was bring given away at the day care. I thought it was a legendary or significant Pokemon.
Oh yeah but I do like the Paula/Old Letter sidequest. And it reminded me of the ghosts seen in the Old Chateau in the Eterna Forest & the one ghost girl that gives you a spell or cleanse tag in the house near Snowpoint City, back in D/P/Pt.
On the whole "no Mythical" thing, I still maintain that Meltan and Melmetal belong to Gen 8, not Gen 7. Not only because Sw/Sh is the first time it's gonna be available in the main series, but Melmetal is getting a Gigantamax form. Also, something about having two brand new Pokémon living exclusively in spin-off titles with no ability to connect to the then-current gen makes no sense to me when it gets classed as Gen 7. They're even listed past Zeraora which was released long after these two were, similarly to Victini technically being the first Gen 5 Pokémon in Dex order.
That's true Toxtricity is kinda strange since his pre evolution sucks, while the pokemon himself is STRONG AS HECC And let's not talk about the fact that Toxtricity's GIGANTAMAX form isn't available yet... I think Game Freak may explain this mystery related to the Toxic Bois
That actually makes a lot of sense, because it’s a similar colour on the back, it’s in the same position as it, since dragapult’s dead, it loses the legs at the bottom.
makes sense, the sword entry for dreepy does state "Dreepy wanders the areas it used to inhabit back when it was alive in prehistoric seas." so it probably was around along with other fossil pokemon
I mean maybe thats why theres no head for the drake fossil, because dragapult already exists with the intact head, maybe the other 3 fossils have connections to other gen8 fossils. However, the drake fossil is alot bulkier than dragapult.
Japan+cuteness factor of a yellow static inducing mouse, if it had been a western concept then yeah it’d be a charizard blasting a minigun in one hand and chugging a beer with the other 😂
I feel like they wanted to focus on the animations and scenery before focusing on story line and extras. I think that the sequel is going to give us more history rhen ever before with the galar region. Like can we talk about all the elemental stones in turfield I think we'll get more mythical and legendarys next time around. Galar looks like it has a lot of history to offer!
What I wish happens, these mysteries are the result of other legendaries that will come in future events. In this Galarian universe the electric toxtricitied defended the lighthouse from kyogre attacking from the ocean
@@grievousart When I first saw Calyrex I hated it due to its design, But it's lore made me like it. Kubfu is ok (Why is his legs so long?) but Urishifu is awesome.
@@cheek3664 Kubfu/Urshifu just isn't for me. I like my legendaries with a deep lore and Kubfu kind of just feels like a rare fighting type or something. Calyrex though being some king seems pretty cool. We will have to see. Maybe we'll be having this same discussion in the fall.
@@grievousart I see your point, Legendaries that they kinda just barf out with almost no explanation, One example from Gen 8 is Zarude or Zeraora from Gen 7, are really lame, especially if they have a bad design.
Snom theory: Snom has something to do with the darkest day... Snom is said to cocoon itself in an icicle of silk but you never actually find a single one... And when it dynamics it's cloud is above it's little head spike this may sound unimportant but notice how snom carries things with it's head... Kind of like a HAND!!! ETERNAMAX ETERNATUS!!! IT ALL ADDS UP!!! SNOMS SILK COCOONS DON'T ACTUALLY EXIST AND ARE A LIE JUST LIKE THE POKÉDEX ENTRIES OF ALL THE GALARIAN FOSSIL POKÉMON!!! IT HOLDS STUFF (DYNAMAX CLOUD) ABOVE IT'S HEAD!!! ETERNAMAX ETERNATUS IS SHAPED LIKE A HAND!!! While we are on the subject of the darkest day... The poison gigantamax toxtricity was so out of control that it penetrated it's own brain, it also must have covered the land in it's wake with lethal poison making it a more major threat compared to other Pokémon...
Theory behind a lack of a mythical: Gamefreak has gotten tired of miners leaking them before they can be announced. Therefore will implement them into the game into a patch in the future when they are ready Edit: Meltan is a thing
@@ZidaneOfTantalus there's also another blocked area on the top of the vault in hammerlock, there's a gate blocking a stairwell up...there has to be a reason for that one. i really hope it's not cut content like X and Y's other powerplants.
A friend of mine came with the thought that it might be a den for an event pokemon in the future or something like that. Also that weird factory castle building with the corvisquire chilling infront of it
@@skrunklyOwO the power plants of x and y are the first things that came to mind. I was hoping that they would've had some sorta event. Part of me is hopeful for some sorta special event in swsh (besides special giganta max pokemon), but part of me is still a little bit doubtful.
I think that toxtricity had went crazy during the darkest day, and went to the water city to attack but had calmed down. Then toxtricity had to defend the lighthouse from the other dynamaxed pokemon
I feel like maybe Toxtricity was guarding the light house, and when Eternatus created the darkest day, it protected the light house, but failed and gigatamaxed, and reeked havoc instead.
For your third point, I have a theory in regards to it: Since the save data is encoded into the console rather than the game card (likely to prevent or at least interfere with ROM hacking), and we know that certain other games on the Switch can get minor gameplay changes in software updates, it's possible that the Galar Mythicals were intentionally not programmed into the games AT FIRST, to avoid dataminers spoiling their existence, and they'll be added later via DLC, concealed within a software update, et cetera. But that's just a theory, so... Yeah.
5:50 Kalos also had 3 legendary pokemon in the beginning, and it was confirmed we'd be getting at least 2 mythical pokemon later on for galar because of the datamine.
@@psyffee3755 not really. There are only 3 legendaries catchable as of yet. The rest are locked away and will probably be reintroduced later when Pokemon home comes out.
The Toxtricity saved the lighthouse by giving an awesome free fundraising concert to replace the bulb. That kid who's sometimes in the market tells you about it.
Perhaps the Geogliph is an ancient Pokemon that went extinct, and considering the smaller variations surrounding it, it's clear it was a GMaxed version as it clearly depicted the small and giant Geogliph as seperate in terms of the way the are shaped. Perhaps it was the most dangerous and problematic GMax Pokemon of the Darkest Day, causing people to fear the Geogliph, and eventually go out to kill it to extinction so it would no longer hurt anyone
about the "No New Mythical Pokemon" it was actually confirmed that there was some data in the games indicating the myhticals were removed as to not have them be leaked, this entire video is clickbait
Mythical don't show up in the dex until you get them also manaphy is the only exception I think and mew is in the dex at 401 I think because of the pokeball
The swirly thing in the geoglyph was Eternetus's angry skyboi form, Assuming the little shockies are both TO AND FROM angry sky chicken, That would be him dynamaxing pokemon, Those pokemon fighting back, And some of those dynamaxed pokemon fighting for their homes. We don't need more information on the saving of the town now.. I Would easily say you got the light house and glyph mystery 100% traced and a future mystery event pokemon predicted with the story too. My dude, this is probably the smoothest theory video i've watched in a hot min. You rock and earned a sub.
I think mythicals have been replaced with g-maxes because g-max snorlax is promoting this weeks episode of the new anime, g-max toxtricity relates to some lore and g-max melmetal might be a movie or special episode kind of distribution
Toxtrocity has a lot of references in these pokemon games. There are statues about them, the npc in the pokemon care gifts you a "very precious" toxel, at the hill a gigantamax toxtricity fighting is represented.......
The Gmax Pokedex entree for Toxtricity says something along the lines of "it's own poison has seeped into its brain causing it to attack all around it with nothing to stop it". So that pretty much sums up the hill picture
Hulbury is based on Liverpool, where the Beatles came from, that's why there's a band of 'rocker' pokemon at the end. Toxtricity being symbolic of the Brit rock scene, he 'saved' Hulbury in the way the Beatles put Liverpool 'on the map'
The lighthouse Tox mystery is pretty straightforward to me. Basically the lighthouse lost power, which could have led to boats crashing into the land. The two toxtricity probably jammed out to power it up again saving the ships
Also I have a theory on the statues. Toxtricity is this generations Sudo-Legendary. Naturally they require more lore at one point. So when the 3rd installment of the games come out, those statues will be more important, and you will be able to go into the lighthouse and capture both forms of toxtricity, specifically the two that saved the lighthouse.
how about that even when you beat the game and go to the locker room of the Wyndon stadium it still says "authorized personal only" even though your champion and have completed everything
The Toxtricity statue is an easy one. The Pokemon company knew that Toxtricity would be the Lucario/Zoroark of the generation. Lucario had the hugely popular character Riley and the Riolu egg, while Zoroark had the Lostlorn Forest events and N's Zorua. Toxtricity is getting the same treatment as them with just a bit less lore behind it
While there are no mythical Pokémon in gen 8 (at least there weren’t when this video released), sword and shield are the first main series games that the mythical Pokémon Meltan can be transferred to
What about the man at the top of the lighthouse? That's something I've been wondering about ever since my first playthrough. You can't access him and he seems to be having a conversation with a Wingull.
I have a feeling the Geoglyph is actually Gigantamax Eternatus in his full form. After his battle against Zacian and Zamazenta he was broken apart and sealed away. When you battle him or use his move Eternabeam, you'll notice the only thing coming out of those clouds is his hand. Keep in mind that Eternatus was broken into many different parts that became wishing stars and pieces so what we currently have now is an incomplete form of Eternatus and the geoglyph depicting him in his full form
The Toxtricty light house reminds me of the one in Johto. Maybe they saved a ship that was of importance or maybe they used it to scar away a Pokemon that’s not found in Galar?
The lack of Legendary/Mythical Pokemon in these games baffles me. Galar is based on the UK and with the sheer amount of myths and legends that have come from our small country there is plenty of subject matter to base legendaries and mythicals on. There is so much missed opporunity to create amazing Pokemon.
Tbf, this is an old video. Since this came out, Galar got a number of new legendaries/mythical. Two new Regis, spectrier, glactrier, calyrex, galarian forms for the three legendary birds, (debatably) kubfu and urshifu, and zarude. So around 15 mythical and legendary Pokemon, including zacian, zamazenta and eternatus. I'm pretty sure that's all of them outside of the three mentioned in this video, but there might be one of two more I forgot.
The fossil Pokemon shtick still pisses me off, they could've done something amazing with that and spliced them together properly, but decided to just cut and paste two ends together and call it a day...
In case of the toxecricity, my theory was that 2 toxels saw a cruise ship driving to a defect lighttower, both trying to yell out to the ship with was coming to crash at the city. Trying so hard they both evolved and used their electric moves and a lot of sound to capture the attention of the captain to make them notice a city and turn around
@@linusmckinney3515 "Believe" isn't proof tho. Googling told me it was not in that Affleck-leak 100%, but appearently a Japanese leak *somewhere*, I'll link what I found below. @@Nerei49 "Mugen" means infiinity, but yeah. Still seems like a possibility, if it wasn't literally with no findable source... EDIT: Unless you mean that PokéJungle-Twitter-Account just made Meteodyna up based on that, but not sure if the Japanese name for Eternatus was leaked by June already.
My Therory: Toxtricity on the Lighthouse Couldn’t be the Toxtricity On Turrfield Giants Sculpture? Sry I forgot what it was called...But We still do not know if those Two Toxtricity are capable Of gigantamaxing or if these Toxtricity was Capable of Gigantamaxing then it would be only one of them Which I couldn’t belive the Toxtricity at the lighthouse was the same at the Sculpture Oh also For the Tailless Ponyta It could be a glitch or a error for the animation.
Either A) Toxtricity was protecting the lighthouse from a water type Pokémon or B) The light house broke down at night and the toxtricity were able to power it back up again using its electric moves or whatever (kinda like how Ampharos keeps the lighthouse working in HG/SS) but it’s just a theory.
I believe the Toxtricity statue depicts a pair of Toxtricity that may have saved the lighthouse from a dynamaxed pokémon, maybe due to the power spot where Hullbury gym is when it was discovered
The fossils from this generation aren't a mystery, just a cool little think they decided to add with a twist. Apparently, in paleontology, there is something called a "chimera fossil", from wikipedia "a chimera is a fossil that was reconstructed with elements coming from more than a single species (or genus) of animal" And that's it
Hulbury is opposite the map from Turffield, which appears to show a Gigantamaxed Toxtricity during the Darkest Day. Maybe it's unrelated, but still pretty neat.
We did get a mythical even if we didn't need to battle it- Once you go to the Battle Tower you can get a Type: Null, which is a mythical which (for some reason) evolves into a Legendary because Silvally has been named as a Legendary 'mon...
Here's a mystery: Why did the story go to shit in the final stretch? They were *very, very clearly* building up a Dr. Faustus-style narrative: Chairman Rose provides endless affordable energy for the entire region at some unknown cost. Rose is always cheery and nice, but lets slip a few times that he's overworked, stressed, and worried. Why? Because the Devil--er, Eternatus is coming to collect. He tries to appease it with Wishing Stars, commissioning his young protege Bede to gather them on his behalf. Oleana oversees the smooth operation of this mission. But it's not working. Eternatus demands more and more Wishing Stars with each passing day. Its energy production begins to run out of control. Rose failed to pay his debts, and Eternatus breaks free and wreaks havoc on Galar. Then you stop it and catch it with the help of the twin wolves because main character. Rose apologizes to you and everyone else--he was just trying to make peoples' lives more convenient, but making a deal with the Pokemon Devil bit him in the ass. And now you're the new modern-day Hero of Galar. ...But no. That would've made too much sense. Instead Rose hits the Apocalypse button because it's there, for vague and nonsensical reasons. His entire character, balled up and thrown out the window. Interesting and complicated antagonists who go through an actual character arc like Silver, N, and Lusamine are just too much to ask for more than once a decade, I guess.
Maybe Hulbury is based on Liverpool (they are both coastal towns) and those statues as a nod to the Beatles, or some other famous band that originated from Liverpool? The game has a lot of musical references...and also some punk cultural references as well.
My personal theory of the glyph and the statue is that a toxtricity during the darkest day gigantamaxed near the glyph and started wreaking havoc. It manged to make it's way to the lighthouse where the other two toxtricity managed to either talk it down or overpower it saving the lighthouse.
Everything about Sword and Shield is so different from previous generations. For exemple there were no new pokemon to introduce these games, let alone mythical pokemons which usually star in a movie after the new generation is out. It's reallly strange because these events usualy keep the hype for the games up for a while after their release, but there is nothing like that in Sw/Sh, so I wonder what that means for the other sides of the franchise!
It was found in the files, same with G-Max Toxtricity and G-Max Melmetal. Odds are, when they update for Home compatibility, they'll include them, just to cut down the time for datamining leaks to spoil the surprise
I think I can explain the statues ane geoglyphs (people who've seen KKHTA, i'm sorry): Yes, the pokémon went crazy, but not every last one. The toxtricity honored by the statue saved the light house from a crazy dynamaxed pokémon (perhaps the toxtricity in the geoglyph?). Basically, it's pokémon KKHTA with alot less on-screen death.
I like your theories, I would just say don’t put too much thought on some of them, the ponyta could’ve been a bug, and toxtricity, well, as it said, during the darkest day, all dynamax Pokémon were restoring the region, so it would only fit that after the darkest day, 2 toxtricity saved the lighthouse on a more recent event. 🧐🧐
The next pokemon shield and sword could be a historic game where you play as the heroes and fight against the darkest day and the dynamaxed rampant Pokemon
Toxtricity is likely just this gens version of Rockruff, Gmax is just it's new form we'll get like Dusk Lycanroc.(that one was kinda figured out through data mining also, though we didn't get anything definitive outside of speculation.)
You forgot about the tower in the wild area that if u go up to it, and go to the part where u can see into a big hole, it says the “the den is empty” I swear I’m like the only person who knows about this!
